1600 World Bier Haus Restaurant & Lounge

1600 World Bier Haus is one of my favorite places for brunch (usually one of their Egg Benedicts!) Although my last visit was for lunch and it was really good too! Which prompted me to write this review. They have a great menu, the food is always delicious and they serve a nice quantity of food. Which has to be a challenge for resteraunts these days! Their prices are reasonable AND they have a nice patio! The staff are always friendly, there's lots of parking. I can't say enough great things! I do not know anyone at this establishment so you know my review is objective. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed!

We have been to 1600 a few times and have always been impressed. The food and service has always been good. Great service and atmosphere. Today after golf we suggested to friends we head to 1600 for lunch. Unfortunately my menu choice was not good. I ordered fish and chips. The fish was over cooked, hard and dry. The server who was great got me a new piece but it was not much better. My friend and I also ordered sweet potato fries and were very surprised that they were covered in Course salt. Never seen this anywhere else! If we had wanted extra salt we could always use a salt shaker!
We really like the 1600 and will return and we would recommend going there but my meal today was a disappointment!
Let’s hope that was a one off.

We love it here! The food is great, the managers seem to really care and help out when it's busy, and the servers are really kind. Can't miss their secret mushroom soup recipe! It's so incredible!

A legendary spot for delicious drinks and fantastic food. The kitchen staff is talented and on point, the front of house team never disappoints.

I love it here. Perfect place to stop in after a walk on the reservoir. The service is always great and their drinks are delicious. I enjoy their brunch, and their fruit is always so ripe and fresh. They have a deal with muscles on Thursdays that I look forward to. The sauce is top notch. The only thing I am begging is please have a ham option for the eggs Benny. I know they do their own take with the bacon and it is good, but you just can’t beat ham.

Had the calamari to start, batter was light and crispy and yummy, but there were more peppers than actual calamari. The chicken on the hot chicken sandwich was extremely dry with barely any toppings on the sandwich. Husband had the fish and chips, batter was very heavy and mushy.

We were also seated at a table that hadn’t been wiped down so it was super sticky and gross. Should have gone to McDonald’s across the parking lot instead.

Always a great place to eat. Great selection of food & service is consistently friendly & professional!

We were in tonight, admittedly on a busy spring Friday evening.

Our waitress was friendly enough, the beer selection was decent, but we found the prices did not reflect the value of the experience, which was lost in the small details.

Our burger and sandwich were good (not great), but we both agreed the parm fries were dry and overcooked. Yam fries were. Fine.

14oz pours for $8.75 are steep - comparable venues offer 20oz pints at this price point. The service was very slow, though I'll give the staff the benefit of the doubt here as it was a busy evening. We were never offered a refill on our waters - maybe that's just being eco-friendly? Haha.

Took our waitress 15 minutes to finally find a machine for our bill. Tip amounts start at 18%, which felt a little disingenuous considering the mediocre experience.

This venue has great bones, I just feel like there are a few too many little aches and pains at this juncture. The other reviews for this place seem to parallel my experience.

I hope this review is received constructively. I would have chatted with a manager but it seemed like he was putting out fires all evening and didn't need the stress - neither did I

Anya was so Lovely and helpful! She took great care of us, we were a large group for brunch but I forgot to take pictures.
The food was really good, we will come back!

We went for a walk around glenmore with our dog and all the staff that served us (Jeremy, Brad and Katie) were absolutely amazing. Super accommodating and very friendly.
They let us tie our dog up just outside of the patio and immediately brought him a water. We also ordered a chicken breast for him and they delivered it with a smile.
We will definitely be back and be coming here after our walks around glenmore reservoir.

Nice modern place. Walked in and was seated right away but it took about 10 or 15 minutes before I was served. They were not quiet but not busy either. I had the Holy Grale burger and a non alcoholic drink. The burger was outstanding. Very friendly service just a bit slow. Would definitely repeat. We are all human and sometimes things get delayed.

1600 Bier Haus has got a great staff and a great atmosphere. If you liìve in the Glenmore Landing or surrounding area, I would highly encourage you to try this place!

A group of us went there for Super Bowl. It was good. I only had Greek fries and a Radler. Their satellite feed kept cutting out, otherwise I'd give them another star. I would definitely give them another try and will update my review as necessary.

I have stopped at this place several times when in the area. Great food, service and good wine & spirits selection with a casual & comfortable atmosphere.

Staff were amazingly welcoming to us and our dog. He sat outside the patio and we were able to bring him water and a chicken breast so both my partner, dog and I left extremely happy and relaxed!

Below is my original review. Shortly after I posted it, I was contacted by World Bier Haus management who were disheartened with our experiences. They asked for us to come back in to give it another shot with a meal on them.

We went on a Friday night. They had reserved a booth for us and knew we were coming. The appetizer we ordered was the Ahi Tuna Stack which was delicious. We ordered the Italia pizza to share and loved it.

I had the Moscow Mule and I have to say that I haven’t found another place that makes them this good.

All in all, we were very happy with the experience and will be going back. I was very impressed with them reaching out to me!

We recently moved to the neighborhood next to 1600 and were excited to have a pub within walking distance. I have been to this restaurant 3 times since October. The first time, I ordered the prime rib dip and had food poisoning later that night. The second time, I just ordered drinks, which I have to say are very expensive even for a happy hour. A pint of Guiness on special is $8 when that is the regular price at a lot of other places. The third time I went was just the other day. I was giving it another chance. Well my burger came out so burnt! Like a puck. I could barely chew it. My boyfriend's burger was also overdone, however not as bad. We waited 30 mins for the food to come and it was a disappointment. We sent the food back and waited another 20 mins and were very hungry. The burgers came back and were ok.at the end of it all, there was no discount and no apology. Safe to say I won't be going back there which is sad considering we were going to make it our local watering hole.

The long and short is that the drinks are expensive and the food is bad.

It may be a Bier Hause but the food is excellent! Since moving to the neighborhood I visited this place a few times and each time I tried something else and so far I have not been disappointed with the food. Great service and great atmosphere. Most definitely I would recommend this place even if you have to drive a short distance to get here.

I came in with a large group on Friday night and even before our food arrived our server informed us that she was leaving and needed us to pay our tab (how do you pay and tip on food/service you haven’t even received? Plus the tipping started at 18% and when my friend tried to adjust the amount it wouldn’t let her) which in itself seemed very unprofessional. However I guess she was soo eager to leave she didn’t bother to hand us off to another server. No one checked to see how our food tasted, asked us about needing drinks, nothing. Finally we talked to the bartender and let him know that we would like service, he was shocked that our server left that way and was sincerely apologetic. (He also kindly gave us a couple desserts to share) It shocked all of us that our server wouldn’t even at least wait to make sure our meals were ok… and then to not make sure we were taken care of was awful.

I enjoyed lunch there by myself last week. The food was delicious and the service was great! It was a very enjoyable experience. A big shout out to my server Melissa!
