My family of three have been seeing Dr. Piccoli for over 10 years. We even followed her around Calgary when she moved offices for a short while. Want to give a huge shout out to Dr. Piccoli for providing us amazing dental care. She also is practical and provides treatment options because she acknowledges that dental care can be costly.

I am incredibly happy with my smile; I recently had three very old crowns replaced at the front of my mouth. Dr. Piccoli and her staff were wonderful with their aesthetic and technical skills; and timing of appointments as it was a multiple step process. Thank you Dr. Piccoli and team!

Snotty receptionist. She made a huge deal about my insurance coverage and made me uncomfortable and angry. Also, they tried to charge for very recent xrays that they already were sent to them. Went elsewhere and found a more organized, more professional clinc. Didnt have a problem with insurance there. Dont waste your time here.

Excellent service from the friendly front desk to hygienist and the best dentist! Dr. Piccoli

We have been going here for years and on the last visit they charged us twice for the same service. Spoke to them several times and we even sent a copy of a statement from our bank, however they claim we were not charged twice even with the bank evidence!

Sherri was very nice. Very compassionate, made the process smooth. Had her twice and will go back for her. I feel like a million bucks.

Walking distance from my apartment and the team here is always so lovely and so accommodating! Would high recommend if you live in the beltline area

Dr Rizkallah is amazing! She was very thorough and went out of her way to make sure that I was comfortable while getting my dental fillings. She's also very accommodating and was willing to see me at a very short notice on two separate occasions.

Also their dental hygienist, Sherry is wonderful. She is one of the best hygienist I've had so far.

Dr Anreen Gill helped me with my teeth cleaning procedure. She is very professional, helpful & warm. I enjoyed the service and I would recommend anytime!

From the 1st visit I had my dental cleaning with Sherri and she was so patient, kind and accommodated my needs.

Next visit is I had a root canal therapy and Dr. Piccoli I could see how passionate she is as a dentist. She is very patient and that I felt comfortable during the root canal therapy. Thank you, Doc.

Dr. Rizkallah is an excellent dentist and I have been seeing her for few years for myself and my family's dental needs. I had a filling done recently and she explained everything really well and conducted a follow-up call to ensure everything was going fine. Very happy with the services

Dental Choice has been my go-to for several years. Initially at the University of Calgary location and now the 17th Ave location. Super friendly, neat and organized staff. Great conversations, caring and truly invested in their customers’ health.

I had a couple appointments at the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic and wasn’t ever bothered about anything as I knew how committed they were to the safety and overall well-being of their staff and customers. I have had my dental fillings, cleanings, and wisdom teeth extractions done here and they have all been done excellently well.

The location is convenient and the direct billing makes things easy. I will always recommend 17th Ave Dental.

To give an example,
My benefits was maxed. They msgd me the previous day, I missed the message.
They could have let it go and charged me the full price. But they called me 30 minutes before the appointment to confirm if I had seen the message or if I wanted to re-schedule by a few months.

This was my dental office for the many years that I lived in Calgary - all the hygienists are kind and friendly, the front desk folks are always organized and nice, and I've seen different dentists here as well for everything from a night guard fitting to fillings for my chipped molars from jaw clenching and they were all excellent, professional and friendly. I get pretty anxious at the dentist and everyone here have always put me at ease and explain their process when I'm in the chair. I also have hyper sensitive teeth and they provide lots of options to help with that during cleanings. 17th Ave Dental also had exceptional hygiene with COVID. Super convenient location as I lived in the Beltline. They seem to be LGBTQ2S+ friendly (I had to let them know my pronouns but they were receptive to it), not wheelchair accessible as there are a set of stairs leading into the office. Great with direct billing for my health insurance.

Love this dental office! Everyone who works there are pleasant and accommodating. It’s not overly busy, very calm and quiet office.

Can’t say enough good things. Had put off a dental checkup because of the pandemic, basically chose this location because it was so close and that turned into a super happy accident. Dr Rizkallah and her team are pros. Fast and friendly and up front about costs and approaches. Shout out to the hygienist who answered all my questions.

I’m not saying going to a dentist is ever ‘fun’ but the team at this location made it as enjoyable and comfortable as possible.

Had a great experience with Dalia (dental assistant), Sherri (hygienist), and Alex (receptionist). All 3 were very kind and helpful. Sherri provided some alternatives that there tailored to my specific tooth issues that worked great and I had never been offered before.

However, I did not enjoy the experience with the Dentist, Dr Baciu. First, she offered a cosmetic procedure just to “make my teeth look the same size” which made my immediately self conscious and that she was only there for the money. Everything after that made me weary of her prognosis.

Great dental clinic and phenomenal dental hygienists. Have been going there for years specifically because of Shirley!

Today i have the best dental experience,
Dr Bauci and her assistant took extra professional care about me, I always was recommended 17 ave dental but now I will do it even more, thank U Dr. Bauci

I always try to support local, but in this case my retaining wire broke and when I went in to get it fixed, it was just one error after another. First the dentist started taking off the old broken wire without realizing that they had no ortho wire in stock, then a week later the wire came in. For my retainer, I was double booked and it was done in a rushed manner, so that two of my bonds broke within 48 hours. Despite giving me a quote for $361 + lab fees, I was charged $161 extra for the removal on the first visit and another $91 for "recementing" on the second visit which was only taken off when I complained. And they submitted to the wrong insurance company on my first visit. Had to go back again for re-bonding, which was itself not the best experience either.

I’ve been going to dental choice on 17th Ave since 2014 and dealing with Shirley, she has always given friendly, professional, courteous service to me and my wife. I have continued to go to Shirley although I have moved as we have gotten accustomed to her amazing service.

Great clinic that has always taken care of me. I have been a patient of Shirley Trinh's since 2012 and continue to come back as I have confidence in her and the clinic. Appointments are always on time, direct billing taken care of efficiently and my concerns are always taken seriously. Cannot recommend them enough.

I went here for a basic cleaning and they were so rough in this one spot that I ended up getting infected gums. I have been to the dentist every 6 months for my whole life and this has never happened. I found the place to be kind of unhygienic so I am not surprised I got an infection from this. I only went back to them as I thought they should know what they did to me and help me solve it. All they had to say was that they did not cause it (they did) and then charged me for my visit.

Great experience. My dental hygienist Suniti was awesome, super friendly and did a fantastic job cleaning my teeth. Dr. Rizkiallah is also great at giving a variety of options and thorough explanations for any issues. She did an excellent job on the work I needed.

Had my remaining 3 wisdom teeth taken out by Dr. Travis. I was very anxious and this was by far the best dental experience i have ever had. It was such a painless procedure and ALL the staff were amazing. You guys do such phenomenal work for your patients. Thank you!

The scheduling was prompt and efficient.
Dr. Travis Elliott was very accommodating, answered my question in detail, and did his best to keep to the estimated time frame. The process itself was done with care and thoroughness. The dentist’s assistant was very attentive and kind. Knowing I get slightly anxious during dental work, it was the best decision to come to Dr. Elliott while he’s at this location. Saw 3 different dentists after the work done at dental choice and they were all confused how a dentist could fill cavities so poorly.

I was happy that Dr. Watson was able to save my tooth when I was told that it needed to be extracted.

The subtleties are what separate those with skill and experience. I had a very enjoyable time getting my teeth cleaned and most importantly did not have a sore mouth afterwards. Thank you Shirley! Highly recommended!

Let’s be honest.no one likes going to the dentist but this place I started going to a year ago is amazing. Every single person working there is honest, funny and practical. Not trying to charge you for things you don’t need. Always able to fit me and and helped me with great referral when needed. Can’t recommend this place enough!

I just all 4 wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Watson. He did an excellent job of the procedure. I had very minimal discomfort considering I got 4 teeth yanked out. Him and his team were very caring and informative. They talked me through everything and ensured I was comfortable the entire time. Definitely recommend!

Got my wisdom tooth extracted smoothly with less pain by Dr. Peter Watson, Dr. Andrea Piccoli provided me the right suggestions & treatment for my broken front teeth after my bike accident, decreased their pain level and keep my teeth instead of further more extraction while other specialist suggested their extraction.

I got all my teeth works done here in 17ave dental choice and didn't regret going here. I'm always afraid to see a dentist but Dr. Peter change it. He is very kind and friendy. His skills in dentistry is amazing. You won't even notice that you already got your teeth yanked out. He is super.

I’ve been going to 17th Ave Dental Choice for years and I was really worried when my wonderful Hygienist, Shirley, went on maternity leave because I have incredibly sensitive teeth/gums. Luckily I got Anreen - she is absolutely amazing! She is SO meticulous, precise and careful that I have gone from dreading my appointments (and being terrified the whole time) to not even flinching once because Anreen is THAT good at what she does! She genuinely cares about your specific situation and comes up with all kinds of new ways to help with my sensitivity - I highly recommend trusting your dental hygiene to Anreen, she’s the best!

I just recently had all 4 of my widsom teeth removed here by Dr. Watson; the experience was wonderful (or, as good as any surgery can really be, I guess). They were kind, informative, and very professional. They kept me informed on what they were doing every step of the process, talked me through the procedure, gave me fair warning when they were going to use the bone saw or when I may experience pain and were willing to oblige when I felt I needed more local anaesthetic. I am more resistant to painkillers than most, but overall it was a painless procedure. I'd recommend Dr. Watson and his team to anyone.

Being an incredibly anxious person, this location in particular is fantastic! Welcomed with lots of smiles and laughter. They know how to make someone feel very very very.very comfortable. I've already recommended this location to my friends.

Wish I remembered their names. My last visit to a new dentist was a painful one so I was anxious about going in, but the hygienist put my nerves at ease as soon as I sat down in the chair, she was gentle in her technique so I experienced a lot less pain than I did the last time I visited a new dentist, and she also had a great sense of humour! The doctor was very friendly, very informative, and also had a good sense of humour! Reception always has a smile on their faces, and they are very welcoming, and accommodating! I’m a bit nervous about my next couple visits but I know I’m in the best hands!

The receptionist is lovely, the hygienist is sweet and hilarious and Dr. Watson is truly the best dentist I have gone too. Highly educated, highly skilled, professional, kind and understanding.

I was at another dentist before this and this office is heaven compared to the lack of service and correct treatment I received there.

I was a super, super anxious patient coming in to Dental Choice! I can't emphasis enough how much I did not want to be there!

But all of the staff, from reception to the hygienists to Dr. Watson surpassed my wildest expectations. They took my concerns seriously and had wonderful "bedside" manner as well as speaking honestly about where things needed to go from there. Dr. Watson spent over a half hour with med going over my x-rays and making sure I understood and was comfortable with the work that needed to be done. I was informed of mtg potential sedation options and how we could go about making sure that experience was as comfortable as possible!

On the day of getting my wisdom teeth extracted, Dr. Watson and his hygienist were amazing, taking the time with my more stubborn teeth, walking me through what was happening and making sure I had the aftercare prescriptions and instructions that I needed to make it a less painful recovery period. And for making sure that I knew who to call if anything felt liked it wasn't going right. So far, it's been much easier than I expected!

I have never felt more taken care of in a dental situation and not only will I continue to go to Dental Choice for my dental needs, I have already recommended it to my friends as the go to place!

Thanks Dr. Watson and his team for renewing my faith that a trip to the dentist can be a positive experience and change is possible when you have the right oral facts and are willing to put in the time and work you folks rock!
