I just got a flat tire on my way to work. I literally went almost 5 shops. All the shops told me like they are already booked for the next two weeks for the winter tire change and all other stuff and finally I got here. I just told the guy that I just need a tire repair. Also i told him that I don’t have any other choice and it’s an emergency situation, Without hesitation, he just grabbed my key and got my tire fixed in less than 10 minutes. Thank you so much.

One of the best place? Completely satisfied with the my car service, customer service is perfect, so far no complaint. I been getting service from here for 9 years almost. Suggest to everyone to try once.

Had wheel alignment done on my Vehicle and being a bit old school I brought it back for minor adjustments and it was free of charge. They did a fair job so I can recomend the place. Fair price for the work done.

Seems pretty decent fellows. Went for out of the province inspection. My car was 10 years old. They certified that it is in good conditio. Usually these folks find some extra work and earn extra bucks. These guys seem different

They're an honest garage with great prices and awesome customer service. They did my out of province inspection as well and now my car runs better than ever. Brought my car for a alternator replacement. I was told over the phone that it will cost me $590 to be exact and I agreed with the price. After checking the car I was told that serpentine belt is not in good condition, told him back that its only less than 1 year old belt. After 2 days of waiting went to get my car and got charged differently $638+. I didn't argue cause just want to get my car and go home. When I got the key and tried to test the car, the car didn't start at all, it was just a click sound. I went to get the mechanic and he said i think its your battery, you need to get a new battery.
They boost my car to start and drove the car straight to my house hoping that the car wont have problems anymore. I turn of the engine and tried to start the engine again but it didn't work! They had the car for 2 days and still didn't fix my car right. What a ripped off giving me wrong information and trying everything to get more money from me!
I didn't have any choice i have to get a new battery and try it on if its going to work. After this experience I totally don't trust these guys anymore! Trying to ripped you off to get more money! The worst experience with a mechanic to fix my car.

I called in with a request to fill my AC, they got me in right away and back on the road in less than 30 minutes.

Update:
I’ve been back here many times since the AC refill. I’ve had my insurance inspection done, crankhouse sensor replaced and currently it’s in there for some more repairs.
My 2002 dodge Dakota was a beater truck but thanks to their excellent service I’ve been able to keep it running!

They made time for my unexpected arrival. Was in and out within an hour.
My VSA light was still on, had to take it back was handled professionally reset because of my alignment. I didnt get the name of the guy helpin me but he was good. Will be back

This is the best place to take your car, the price is RIGHT and the job is done RIGHT! They find the correct solution to each and every problem and they have found me the best deal each time! HIGHLY recommend this auto shop for anyone looking for a family or business mechanic

Took my spark plugs for a change. A year later, I took it to another shop since my gas mileage was extremely low, and the new shop mechanic said the way the spark plugs were installed were improper and even showed me the spark plugs and they were fully corroded which means they were misfiring. The last time I did a spark plug change was at this shop and now I know to never come back here. The shop owner is a complete rip off and doesn’t know how to welcome customers.

It seems that these mechanics recieve much too hate for what they deserve. This is a an honest and reliable mechanic shop, which saves you money. Brought my 2010 hyundai Tuscon in to have the cad converter changed as it completely fell off while I was on the highway. Instead of charging me for an entirely new one, which easily could have been done, at a higher profit to the shop, they simply welded the old one back on as they indicated it still had life in her, the car is running great a whole year later. The costumer service is awesome and the gentlemen working are very friendly and to the point. Whoever is saying they are rude was simply impatient and having a bad day, these are proper gentmen who know how to fix a vehicle Thank you for your service A1 auto!

I was rear ended recently and took my BMW to A1 to be repaired. The staff that work at A1 auto repair are so professional and helpful to deal with. My vehicle genuinely looks better than it did before and I couldn't be happier. The owner Gary has to be one of the nicest people I've ever met. I would highly recommend this body shop, as they do a phenomenal job.

Was just about to go to Canmore and saw that I had a flat tire, called another franchise shop and they said the earliest is the following day in the AM. I called A1 and they took me in right away. Quick service.

To be honest the tall guy I don't know his name in front disk is extremely disrespectful I will never ever go to this place again even he didn't know how to welcome a customer.

Been going here for the past 4 or 5 years after a friend recommended them. They always do honest work at a good price, and will only do the work that's needed. Took my old twin cam Focus there to get a new timing belt put on. Ford wanted $1500+ to do it, whereas A1 did it for $500 including a new serpentine belt. Have had numerous other things done there on other cars and will continue to go back.

With regard to some of the other reviews below. The Suzuki sign is likely a leftover sign from Walt Healy that used to occupy the building. Also a pre-purchase inspection usually won't give you much indication about the engine, unless it's making noise, or unless you asked for a compression test which again will only tell you so much. It's possible someone could have put in an oil additive before you bought the car. It's a bit of a stretch to blame them for the person who sold you car.

One of the worst mistakes of my life going to this place to get an inspection done. I had no idea how much it was going to cost me while i was looking for an inspection shop open on Saturdays. Bought a used Ram 1500 for $8,000 and took it to A-1 Auto Repair for pre-purchase inspection. No major issues were found by the mechanics. 3 days and 100 kms after purchasing, a knock sound from the engine started. Took it back and got a shrug and an "oh well"! What I'd like to know is how can a facility be a licensed inspection facility while it does nothing to inspect a vehicle and still charge me $90.

I highly recommend staying away from this place.

Do NOT go to this place. I have spent over $3000 on 3 different cars in the last few years and all I have to say is A1 Auto is a rip off and totally unorganized place. Terrible experiences include: Replacing my alternator with a defective rebuilt one, mounting rotational tires the wrong way, not doing oil changes properly, charging me big for a dashboard light indicator they couldn't fix, convincing me to do multiple things when it was no where near even required! All of these on different occasions. Do not waste your money here. These people will totally rip you off, while doing a terrible and careless job on it most of the time. Unfortunately I gave this place multiple chances to service my car. Never going here again.
