A Ladybug Bakery and Cafe

While the location is quite simple and doesnt have much in the way of a decor, it is funcional in its layout. The all day brunch is ok and the food is decent.

Went here for brunch with a former work colleague. The place was packed when we arrived. Since we had no reservation, we had to wait for a table, which was absolutely reasonable. Food overall was absolutely delicious. Bought a bunch of their baked goods yesterday—can’t wait to try them out. Since this place is in the very west side of the city (south), transit may be lengthy if you’re coming from the NW

Good local place with fresh food. Decently busy which can suck sometimes, but not something they can fix.

Found this place by mistake and was very pleasantly surprised with the taste and ingredients! I took my parents here from British Columbia because I thought they would love it and they did!
We recently went again and two of us got the veg bowl. Something was a bit off with it (still tasty) but I guess it no longer has wild mushrooms sadly which really was awesome, and the butternut squash didn’t seem roasted like last time unfortunately. Coffee is always good and the baked goods are tasty too! The Bennys always seem to be a hit!

Wow what a great bunch of staff. Very awesome experience. My friend and client enjoyed her meal and socialization with co patrons everytime we are there.

This is the second time I have been here. Today I was meeting up with a friend to enjoy lunch. The choices are great and hard to decide. I ended up ordering the Japanese Karaage and waffles. Delicious, it came with a small side salad, very refreshing.

After much pestering from my friends, I decided to join them along for breakfast at Ladybug. Food was nice, a little pricy for a brekkie, but what the heck, I had nice company. When we finished our food, I was hoping to chill a little and continue on with my catch up with my friends but felt the subtle but constant reminder from the waitress that we should leave and make room for other customers. I get it but we just finished our food not too long ago and for a sit down service, I was hoping to be able to enjoy the ambience of a nice cafe vis-a-vis a takeout/quick dining type restaurant. In the end, she decided just to if she can get us the bill, at which point, we decided to leave and continue our chats at Starbucks in Aspen.

I love this cafe for brunch. Consistently amazing savory and sweet food and beverage offerings. Service is hit or miss and seating is limited but overall it's quite pleasant and I'll be visiting again soon.

Ladybug is a quaint and delicious brunch spot. The decor and style is refreshingly European, the espresso and coffee options are many and the food is excellent! The Tokyo Hot Chicken Sandwich was super crispy and the bun was fluffy. The ham and cheese crepe was light and satisfying. The service was fast and friendly and kept our waters full. We will be back for more!

Food & bakery is amazing. Service level is always mediocre. This place is great but everytime we go we wait for tables to be cleanedand then seated. Nothing flows. We always wait 20mins to get a coffee ordered then however long to get it dleivered. I hope they improve a d ill still keep coming here

One of my favourite spots in the city! I rarely come as I don’t often find myself In this end of the city, but when I do I make sure to stop by! Todays service and food were spectacular!
Two kids waffles, and a Japanese chicken and waffles! (The chicken was cook perfectly, and that side salad has the perfect acidic balance!)
Our server Mary was also amazing! My two year old is usually very timid, but she had him laughing at the table, which was great! As a bonus they also have boogie boards for kids to draw on while they wait for their food, which for me, is a game changer!

Looking forward to our next time back ️

I visited this place for Saturday brunch. Place was pretty packed. Although we were a big group (party of 7), we recicved a great service. Brunch menu has lots of variety options. Highly recommended.

Food is very good no doubt and the price is very reasonable. But there waiting list service is screwed. A guy at the counter put me in the waiting list, I was the first one, waited 45 minutes outside, received no text. I got back to check the cafe, 4-5 tables are empty, one waitress asked me to sit on a table. Now we are dining, but no text yet.lol…what a service!
I took one start off for the service and ruining the mood of my branch with my family

Wonderful place for brunch but get there early as it's popularity can cause a bit of a wait.

An amazing bakery and cafe, we were offered free pastries after the pizza we ordered took an hour due to miscommunication about opening hours, however it was well worth the wait and the staff was extremely kind. Will be visiting this café again soon.

Raspberry tart!
We were planning to stay in the cafe and enjoy some coffee with pastry but it was insanely busy so we decided to grab something and head home.
Omg, worth every minute of 35 min drive! Fresh Raspberries and smooth creamy filling something everyone needs on hot summer day. That macaroon in the middle! Now i know I will need to grab some of them
We will try our luck to enjoy the cafe next time.

Absolutely amazing service and food. We didn’t have time to wait so it got the breakfast sandwich to go and ate outside. The lovely server checked on us and he brought us sodas!
The food was fresh and delicious; I loved the miso dressing. Highly recommend, next time I want to try the bakery items which look spectacular.

Pretty alright breakfast place. Came here and got the vegan garden benny and I found the sandwich portion to be quite bland, and the cranberries in the bread added an unpleasant sweetness to it. After trying both, I 100% wouldn’t choose ladybug over Brekkie over in west springs.

Edit: Dear owner - congrats on your new plates and the changes you made to your benny! I won’t be coming back to try it lol ;)

Great environment and atmosphere, amazing staff, super friendly. Amazing cakes, and sweets and bakery stuff and yet something about the food and the potato hashbrowns. A big let down when everything else is top notch.

Fabulous cafe & bakery in Aspen. The portions, price, and ingredients used make it absolutely worth it. I ordered, the chicken & waffles Benny for $17.50 which includes an aged cheddar & rosemary waffle, tarragon roasted chicken, two poached eggs, sriracha maple hollandaise, side of fruit, and potato wedges. It's VERY filling. To put this into perspective Brokin Yolk charges $19.00 just for chicken and waffles. I'd say at Ladybug, you're getting quite the deal!

And the staff is VERY friendly and accommodating. Came for my mom's birthday and the server brought out a little macaron with a sparkler! How kind:)

Stopped by for a Thursday brunch and was greeted by Ms. Mikayla! Super outgoing and very friendly, she really made the whole brunch experience a great one! She gave us incredible options and helped us choose our meals — amazing service for sure! Mikayla was super engaged and attentive to our every need. Everything looked great and tasted amazing. We WILL be coming back soon!

A lovely community and family oriented cafe with friendly staff and excellent food.
My husband had a fall there due to his illness and the staff especially the manager was amazing. She was quick to respond, professional, kind and respectful.
We went back and again my husband was assisted and made us feel very safe and welcomed. I love the place and I am very appreciative of the exceptional way that they dealt with a difficult situation. ️

I cant say anything about the food as we didn’t even have a chance to try it. This cafe is one my friends and I have been eyeing down for a while, and finally had a free enough schedule to do so today. I called 30 minutes ahead of the time we would arrive to get on their wait list, but was told to “hold. ” On “hold, ” I could hear other orders being taken, employees chatting, and the sounds of pots or glasses hitting each other/the counter: it was very loud. I stayed on the line for roughly 5 minutes and still, nobody acknowledged the phone despite hearing people speaking right over it. We decided eventually to throw in the towel and pick a new spot for brunch instead, was terribly disappointed.
