I am in my mid-60s and I own 6 guitars. This is by far the best guitar store I have ever been to. Small enough to provide very personal service - they really make you feel they care - and large enough to be well stocked in guitars, strings and all imaginable accessories. They got me a Martin D-28 Re-Imagined a few years ago and, more recently, a Martin D-45 Custom with all the bells and whistles one could imagine. I highly recommend this guitar store, without reservation.
I've recently purchased a couple guitars from Aaron and I have to say that his commitment to making a customer happy is an understatement. He was very patient with all my questions and when he didn't have the answer right off the top of his head, he wouldn't just answer for the sake of answering, but did the research first to give an honest and accurate answer. Aaron is fair with his pricing and made me super confident in making the right decisions when it came time to purchase. He spent time with me to help decide which guitars I wanted. You just don't get that sincere customer service these days and I'm glad A Pratte is around to give me that experience. We all know Steve of course and his professionalism and knowledge of musical instruments is greatly appreciated in this day and age. Thanks for a wonderful experience you guys. I will be back again and again.
Not your average guitar shop where you have fender, Gibson, and maybe Ibanez. They've got interesting things in here. Plus I got new pickups installed in a guitar of mine, plus a setup, and they did an excellent job. Just excellent.
Pretty good shop. They offer some brands of guitar that I haven't heard of before. Not a lot of Fenders and Gibsons that I saw, but still a good range of quality and price. Guitars were humidified and properly handled. Every question I asked was met with what felt like confusion about why I was asking those questions, but the shopkeeper was still nice enough. Go check it out, it may be just what you're looking for.
Great service. Very knowledgeable and all around awesome. Very helpful and easy going. Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for great service, high end quality for a more than reasonable price.
Excellent instrument and overall music store in Calgary, AB. Hidden gem.
So many unique and rare brands to see with much more instrument selection to offer then your A typical Gibson and Fender brands. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff. They helped me become a proud owner of a VOX Nutube amplifier, Vintage UK AFD100, and also a very cool VHT D boost stomp pedal.
If you are looking for a laid back and unique musical instrument experience, you owe it to yourself to stop by and check this place out.
Overall very pleased and happy customer. I'll be shopping here a lot more.
Great store with really unique selection of instruments. I went in looking for another Reverend guitar (I have a Six Gun and really love it) because they are the only dealer in Alberta.
While looking at the website I became interested in Prestige guitars as well (they are the only dealers in Alberta). I tried a bunch of different instruments, which they let me pile up to be sanitized later (COVID), and eventually settled on a Prestige. I love it. It’s one of the best guitars I’ve played, but most of the ones that have been comparable are more than double the price.
If you’re looking for a music store that has a great selection of quality instruments, as well as knowledgeable staff who aren’t bothered if you play their instruments, this is the place to be.
Best knowledge and understanding from A-Z on anything they sell in store plus recording advice out the yin-yang. I have spent countless dollars here and never regretted a penny.customer service is out of this world compared to the big stores. Use this shop next time you need gear or advice.you will not be disappointed I guarantee!
