We have a 112 year old house that needed the main beam replaced, Abalon quoted well and maintained the quote even a year later when the work commenced.

Due to my inexperience with a job this size as well as Abalon's insistence on handshake contracts even for a $17K job, start dates as well as expectations on preceding work like water and gas disconnects were not clearly communicated and dates got pushed multiple times, including adding a week without hot water or a furnace during the coldest wettest may in years.

However the actual workmanship was fantastic and extremely professional. Steve lead a team of James John August and Marcos and they did great work.

I would use Abalon again, though next time I would expect more clarity on expectations and contracted dates.

I had a basement leaking due to a cracked foundation. I called Abalon Construction for a quote and Dustin came over. Dustin was very professional and explained everything to me. Gavin and Jose were the crew that came to repair/waterproof the crack. They were very professional and polite and most importantly did a great job. I would not hesitate to recommend Abalon Construction.

My home had a previous foundation repair that was done by a different company and repaired from inside of the home. When the basement started leaking again in the same spot, and it turned out that this other company wouldn’t honour the warranty, I was referred by a friend to Abalon to repair the problem.

I have been extremely happy with the work from start to finish. Abalon has been very responsive when I have contacted them and their entire team has been very courteous and professional. Most recently, Marco and August completed the work by filling in the sunken area with some really nice top soil. They took the utmost care in making the yard look nice, working carefully around my garden and planters, while also ensuring the yard sloped away from the house so that I can avoid this problem again in the future. Although I’m reassured that the problem is now completely resolved since, in addition to my foundation repair, they ensured that the weeping tile was cleared and functional. Additionally, I have the extra reassurance with having a lifetime warranty for this work. I’m very happy that I chose Abalon and will recommend them to anyone needing these services in the future.

I got a few quotes on pinning a foundation extension on a older home. Abalon was no bs, straight forward, and didn't over complicate things. Not to mention the pricing was the best! Brad & Steve were great to work with. Steve took his time lifting the house, raising it in increments, as I wanted to monitor it to ensure no major adjustments to my built in shelving took place. 100 percent would recommend them! Abalon repaired cracks in basement walls in two different buildings for us and both jobs were completed quickly and professionally. The crews were friendly and efficient. The work sites were cleaned up thoroughly.

We are very happy with the work Abalone has done for us. I sure appreciate there many years of experience dealing with problems like ours and feel they have solved our problem.
They professionally installed weeping tile, a much better drainage system, a second sump pit and pump at the back of our home. We have been having a problem with too much ground water since we moved in 8 years ago and have struggled to correct the problem on our own.

Finding water in the basement, and then discovering that the source was a floor to ceiling crack in the foundation, was beyond stressful. Hiring Avalon to fix the issue for us however was completely stress free. It cost way less than we thought it was going to, it was done correctly- from the outside- like it should be, and we were able to have it done way sooner in the season than we thought possible. The guys that came to do the fix itself were amazingly unobtrusive and quiet, and by the time they left there was no sign left of their having even done such a big, messy job.
