The Affinity Dental team at Mayfield Common (Edmonton) are FANTABULOUS! ALL the staff members are VERY knowledgeable and eager to assist in any capacity they can. Each team member made me feel welcome and included in my treatment experience.

Liz was EXTREMELY helpful and patient with obtaining my patient files from my previous dentist, assisted in securing my complicated insurance authorizations, created an appointment without delay and confirmed EACH and EVERY detail of the processes for me!

The receptionists greeted me quickly, made me feel welcome and assisted with completing my information on my medical chart.

Turuna patiently listened to the intricate details of my previous dental experience and entered them electronically into my file. She gently and proficiently took pictures and measurements of my teeth, gums and inner mouth (my previous x-rays were fairly recent, thus, no new ones were needed). Turuna asked what - if any- concerns I had, as well as, showed and explained the differences/correlation of these pictures/measurements to the previous x-rays/pictures in my file while suggesting a treatment plan for my dental hygiene. She took the initiative to discuss the findings with Dr Southwood prior to his coming into the exam room. She remained in the exam room to assist the doctor and to help discuss her recommended treatment plan from the hygienist angle.

Dr Southwood entered the exam room and immediately put me at ease with his warm welcome. He examined my mouth and teeth; showed and established the differences between my current with previous x-rays/pictures on file; asked about any concerns regarding my current dental health, and provided detailed information to help create a treatment plan specifically designed for me.

After my completed exam, Turuna booked a follow-up appointment made at the CONVENIENCE of MY schedule (I drove 2 1/2 hours from my hometown to visit Affinity Dental) ;
she gave me a complimentary dental care package and escorted me to the reception desk.

The receptionist/booking/insurance ladies at the front immediately processed an insurance authorization for my next appointment, explained future costs that may not be covered by my insurance and a potential payment plan if necessary.

Affinity Dental - Mayfield is an EXTREMELY clean and quiet environment. The dental chairs in the exam rooms are very comfortable. A television was available with closed-captioning for the patients. State-of-the-art, high-tech equipment is used guaranteeing efficiency and accuracy for patient needs. Rigorous cleaning and sanitation procedures are followed by all the Affinity Dental staff.

They're awesome. They sometimes wanna offer something I can't afford, but they don't discriminate vs my lack of more-than-basic insurance; while working, & my dumb choices, to boot. The GP Mall once had a dentist that tried to give me a filling without freezing me first; though, I was covered. So, I started going here. I'm still ashamed, but I am not dentures-material yet. Though, it is coming. No lotteries or inheritance will fix my teeth. But, this company has empathy to do what is covered. And, advise me if I earn/inherit any extras.

I had Dee today as my hygienist. She was very thorough and did an amazing job. Everyone there makes me feel like family and a valued patient.

As soon as I walked to the reception desk the ladies welcomed me and I felt comfortable. I am afraid of Dentists have had a few bad experiences and I must say the hygienist was so pleasant and did such a thorough consult. I have had cleanings, however not like the cleaning she did, and I was not feeling any pain. Please put this in her file as a recommendation. Dr. Walter was such a breath of fresh air with his relaxed and juvial demeanour. So much fun, definitely put me at ease and did not try to oversell me. As a senior citizen that says a lot about this practice. My 70 year old husband is also exceptionally happy with his treatments with Sarah and Dr Barty. Been through 4 before we came across these wonderful people at the women’s show. Been a resident in GP for over 42 years and I highly recommend Access Dental.

They are the best! They give 100% and really take care of you! They work with you and your anxiety and help you feel as relaxed as possible. I highly reccomend.

It's such a friendly relaxed atmosphere there. The procedure was painless and worry free. Everyone there is very professional and know what their doing would definitely recommend anyone to go to access dental for any of the their aches and pains a nice and curtious bunch of professionals.

The Dentist was fantastic, we reviwed the x-rays and talked about what was happening with my teeth. Then we discuste what options there were and we came up with a plan that will help me for the next 10 years or so. Very impressive, enjoyed verry much

Today they even put me in the chair spontaneously. I was in the area so walked in to book an appointment to check out/go over some things (a normal follow up on previous appointment plus some new concerns-questions i had), they asked if I was up for it then Dr. Southwood could take a look now and go over things with me.which he thoroughly did and also did some work while had me there. I look forward to my appointment next week to finish up the overhaul that needed to happen on my mouth and have been hugely enjoying breaking the habit of hiding my teeth when smile cause they rock now

I had my teeth cleaned and being i have ALS I'm not comfortable laying back, or having water in my mouth for fear of choking. I was treated with patience and understanding from my hygienist she was totally empathetic even let me rest when I needed to. I couldn't be happier

My 3 month old had a liptie she needed to have lasered. The staff were all super friendly right from the moment we walked in the door, it was a beautiful and clean office. The dentist was lovely, kind and quick with the procedure. Overall it was a great experience for what my baby needed to have done.

Dr M I’ll call him as I have no idea how to spell his name, was so funny and has amazing bed side service. He even referred to me to someone else who he feels can help me more! He said this route would be more effective five and less expensive! What a guy! Love him and everyone I came in contact with there!

Love this company. I state that here as their survey doesn't work on my phone. Punctual, friendly, doesn't just start a refill without freezing my sensitive teeth, first. Or, at least asking if I want/require it. ;) They sometimes ask if they can move my appt up or down abit, & I can agree or not. So, can you. The annoying construction should be over soon; that affects drivers more, but also pedestrians like myself. ;) Have yr phone so you can txt them with HERE, upon yr arrival. At least, during COVID-19 first couple yrs.

I don’t go I the dentist as much as I should, the dentist and assistant helps explain what’s going on in my mouth? The ladies at the front counter explain my insurance policy and all I need to know to go forward with my tooth care. I greatly appreciate this dental office

I had no idea a dentist office could provide this amazing of service.the most helpful and friendly staff made a very easy visit i felt good about after, so much so that i felt obligated to write up this review!

I was a client of Access Dental for about 4 years. The dentists and hygienists working there were kind and knowledgeable, and I was satisfied going there until either glitches in their computer systems or human error caused problems associated with me and my file. One such problem was that an appointment was scheduled for me that I hadn't made, and it was a complete surprise to me when I got an email message from Access Dental saying I had an upcoming appointment to attend. Another was that I was sent a bill in the mail which was asking me to pay an outstanding balance, which had already been paid. If you don't mind these kinds of errors Access Dental might be a good option, but I decided to switch.

I had a terrible tooth infection, was on antibiotics for weeks, and had been to other dentists who were unable to get the tooth to freeze. Access Dental got me in super fast, took the time to make sure the freezing worked, and were incredibly kind and patient. They really helped me out and I'm very grateful. 10/10 would recommend to everyone.

From the front desk to the Doctor who attended to me it was an excellent experience, they are punctual, knowlegeable, kind, they are #1. I will go to them again and will encourage anyone to go to them. They are all wonderful. The "feel" was so good! Clean offices and front waiting area, it was an incredible experience!

Staff is friendly and very good only issue I have is my benefits cover 100% of the dental fee guidelines and I still have to pay kind of frustrating I wish I would of got told I would have to pay over since I know there’s plenty of places here that follow the guideline I think I will start going to them instead
