Bought a new house and the remote is not working properly.

Good customer representative, really patient and polite. They deserve two stars.

But reschedule me for many times. The garage door didn’t get repaired quickly and effectively. Hope they can have more people to work. Their technician is always have some reasons for rescheduling.

I just hope I can get it fixed before the summer…

In June 2023, I scheduled a service for a garage door that was just over one year old (installed by Action). The service tech comes out (2 hours late) and does not have all of the weather stripping. They said that they would be out right away after receiving it. After one month, I call asking for an update. Second month.still no update. Third month.still no update. During this time, there was no communication. This forced me to go to another supplier, pay twice as much ($110), and install it myself. Then 5 months after the service, I get charged for all of the weather stripping including the top plate that was not installed. Of note, I did say that they could stop by any time and just install it as it was an exterior piece. I called this morning only to be told that they were only going to credit me $48. I had paid $110 (plus I had to go to south Calgary to pick the item up). It is not the money that is in question, it is the way they handled the situation. Charging me for work that was not completed. 5 months later.is not right.

Very disappointed and unhappy! Our garage door kept opening every time we tried to close it for about a week. So my partner called Action Door one morning at the beginning of September. They said in order to book an appointment they need our credit card info on file. So I called them - even though I said at the beginning of our conversation I am not happy that she (Shelly?) is asking for credit card info up front. She said without CC info she cannot arrange for technician to come. Our call ended that technician will call me before he comes. I left the house that evening around 5: 30. At 6: 00 our doorbel rang. Thank god my partner opened the door. The technician came! Unannounced.
He spent less than 20 mins and all he did was reset the door cable. After a week I noticed a extremely high charge on my Credit card. My partner called to ask why is the charge so high. No answer. I called and asked for bill because technician did not provide any paperwork when he left and my CC is charged without my approval. After several days of calls to Action Door, they finally called my partner and said they will "try to" give some refund back but this was rated as emergency call and technician needed some replacement parts etc. None of that was true! After a week I go small refund back but I still have no bill. They are now silent. No answers to our daily calls. We left messages, gave them email and mailing address to send bill to. 14 days later, still no answers. Now I have unauthorized large charge on my CC for god knows what because they refuse to give me a bilI. Stay away from them! This is very unprofessional. You had my consent to use my credit card info only to book an appointment. The guy just showed up unannounced, left without providing any paperwork and you are just ignorant liars.

Worse customer service, reception lady dont know how to talk, need to learn some customer care manners,
Technical services also sucks…. Overall zero service…

This is now the third time I have used this company. They understood my urgency when yet again the cable broke leaving my garage open and fit me in as soon as they could with an great technician who was efficient and very capable. The price was very reasonable and special thanks to Shelly who was kind, understanding and funny and kept me informed of when they would have a person to come to house. All the ladies were great and had amazing happy, attitudes as well.
It made the stress of the situation easy to deal with and I will use this company again and also tell others to use this company

I haven't actually used this business, however they are extremely unsafe drivers. Their van pulled out in front of me to turn right onto the highway and nearly caused a severe accident. They clearly didn't check before they turned and if I hadn't of slammed on my brakes, or if they were ice, I could have been dead. Then when I pulled up alongside them I saw the driver texting and taking selfies on their phone. Not a good look for any business

Waited for a month for service. I had to relay the same information multiple times (at least 3 different phone calls relaying the same information). Then they couldn't keep their appointment unless I had a scissor lift! Why would your customer be able to supply tools for a repair? The height of the machine was communicated at least twice (and they have serviced our door before). Would not recommend.

Awesome service, great price. Answering calls and texts after hours at 9pm helping troubleshoot when we had an issue with the door! Ricky and Kyle FTW

Person I spoke to was polite and professional, but wasn’t able to help me book an appointment. After two days and two calls, no one called me back to book an apportionment, so I called another company.

Very poor communication. Garage door took +7 months to deliver. Supply chain issues apparently. Rather than keep me updated, I had to call/email subsequently to understand status. Upon installation, they missed the decor items. The full amount (Over 2.5K) was charged to a card on file that I used for deposit for the door. I DIDNT GIVE AUTHORIZATION FOR THAT. I never even received an invoice before my card was charged!
The decor items that they missed were included in that charge, even after I spoke with rep and he said it would be removed.

Upon trying to reconcile, for over 2+ days, I spoke with the manager who refused to take the charge off of the card, which I never authorized them to charge, and didn't receive an invoice! I let him know I was going to dispute the charge with the bank, and he said "go ahead, I will go to collections" WHAT? Great management skills hey?

The door looks great, but realize they don't make it! Steelcraft does. They only supplied/installed it. Supply took 7+ months, And they missed decor items.

Heed my advice: GO ELSEWHERE. Many other better suppliers, with better professionalism/communication.

I bought garage door outdoor seals today at Action Door.

I was taken care of by a number of very welcoming and friendly people.

A gentleman helped me safely attach a 16 foot section to my car. With his help, we made it home in one piece without having to speak to an officer of the law. This was far beyond the call of duty.

I’m very grateful. Thank you very much.

The receptionist, Melissa, was such a joy to speak with this morning, when my garage door broke. She was professional and organised an emergency call straight away. Calvin, just finished a job around the corner, and arrived within 2 minutes (how lucky for me!). He was also cheerful, professional and repaired the door quickly. He didn't hesitate to help me move items in the way, and gave me tips on future garage maintenance. Thank you both so much.

The technician arrived as scheduled and replaced the failed part quickly and adjusted the motor location which was the cause of the part failure. Expert service, and a great price. Would highly recommend.

Have you ever walked out of a place and said "WOW that was a good experience"? Well we did today. The folks at Action Door Services were attentive and knowledgeable. Colin - top notch expertise! If you need a garage door problem fixed then this is the place to go.

Went to get a replacement for a part that got damaged outside my garage the girls at the front desk help me out and amazing $$$. Thank you so much. Recommend yes. Will use them back if needed yes.
