Great Location with very experienced staff. They are all friendly and helpful and maintain professionalism and high standards. Ed specifically has been helping with my recovery and has greatly helped me in the process. I would recommend for anyone in need of the services they provide.

I saw Ed Shields for 2 months for an old (8 months) hip injury. The treatment plan he developed yielded excellent results. He is attentive, caring, patient and has quite the sense of humour. The front end staff are great and the "Assistants" are top notch. Overall, an excellent clinic and I highly recommend them

This location is easy for me to get to via car. Plenty of Bus Service to get you here as well.
The Service from the Certified Physio staff is great! They are interested in your physio needs at that moment. They discuss with you what your needs are and have a plan to get you to Iive your best life.

I've seen Curtis for a year now and he's really helped me. The whole facility has been great.

I have been seeing Curtis since Jan of this year. I was in two MVAs in 2022 and massage/chiro wasn’t enough for me. After our first session I knew these treatments would work for me. Curtis is very personable, knowledgeable and makes sure I am always comfortable. Love the whole team ;)

I just finished my physio here, it was a very good experience.

So super greatful for the Folks at Kensington Active Physio, but especially for Ed, Meghan, Mo and the rest of the team. Currently awaiting surgery for a blown out left knee, torn ACL, MCL and Ligament. Thankfully I'm on the road to recovery with the support of these fine folks, they have helped me so much, from the Receptionists, to the Masseuse, to the physiotherapists and Service dogs that you occasionally run into. Coincidentally my son was Hit by a car as a pedestrian, and the insurance company wanted to send me to their place, I argued, No I will be taking him to the Physio office I attend. Turns out happened to be the same office. I was glad to have him come to the Kensington Active Physio because I am more than confident in their abilities. He's fine now, Thanks Active Physio!

I’ve been seeing Ed Shields for years. He is very friendly and has your best interest in mind while providing treatment. All the other staff at Active Physio works are also extremely nice and they create a positive environment while being treated.

I’ve been seeing Ed Shields for more than 20 years now, which is either a testament to his skills or an indictment on my overall health… but in truth Ed is outstanding. He has a very calming but also optimistic demeanour with his patients and takes time to chat and get to know them. He is also incredibly competent, but able to share throughout the session why he is doing certain techniques to help inform the patient.

Ed has helped me recover through several injuries including knee surgery, back issues, hands and shoulders. He can be counted on for excellent care, results, and some witty banter too. If you’re injured or sore, he’s the best.

I had a great experience during the months I spent receiving treatment post MVA. Ed is a great physiotherapist who is amicable, knowledgeable and follows a patient-centred approach to treatments. There is a comfortable and collegial atmosphere at this clinic location and everyone there is invested in the improvement of their patients/clients. Would recommend!

This place is awesome! I used Active Physio Works a few years ago for my shoulder. More recently I had to return because of my back. I found Ed to be very experienced, friendly, and knowledgeable. I can't recommend this place enough!

The staff and Physiotherapists are great! All of the staff here are very nice, funny, and very knowledgeable. Moe was my PT and he was amazing! The environment is very friendly and uplifting. Overall 10/10 experience.

When I first started at Kensington physio back in October 2021 I was assigned to Mo. From the first Assessment my last day in May 2022, MO has walked me through everything step by step pushed when needed and eased off on my bad days MO took the time to learn about me and my injuries, we worked through alot tryed many Exercises and Mo at one point has a student and Mo showed Julie (the student) things to work on and try on me it was a amazing experience with both. Everyone at that Facility is very professional and Courteous and polite. I would recommend this active physio to anyone. They will take care of you and get you better then you were.

Ed Shields is fantastic! He has helped me recover from various overuse injuries including plantar fasciitis, IT band, and recently bursitis. He uses various methods including stretching, needles, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and taping, and is always professional, kind and patient.

I started going to see Mo from a work injury and he helped bring my strength back up significantly. The whole team is always positive, willing to share some laughs and helpful. It made it worth going in to do physio and for my mental health as well. Mo is very knowledgeable and gives great exercises for you to do at home or at the gym to continue doing physio on your own. He cares about his patients and I highly recommend going to see him!

I would highly recommend Active Physio Works in Kensington for outstanding physiotherapy. After my motor vehicle accident, Tasha went above and beyond to help me with my recovery. She was very knowledgeable and listened to me and encouraged my input on what was helping and what wasn't, and then catered my treatment accordingly. The staff is super friendly and even so much as remembered my name and greeted me every time I went there. They were very diligent on their covid protocols as well which made for a safe and effective space. 100% would recommend.

Due to a work related injury I chose active physical works Kensington for treatment I have been very pleased with all aspects of their service from the front end to the cleaning staff Tasha has been my Therapist She has always been caring knowledgeable compassionate and has treated me with respect in regards to my injury I would not hesitate to recommend this place to others

This place is amazing! I see Tasha for physio and Megan for massage and they are lifesavers. They are absolutely amazing at what they do and they truly care about your well-being.

I highly recommend Mohammed. He always made me comfortable and welcoming when coming in. He is very knowledgable on which exercises to do.:) Great experience overall.

Tasha has fixed my lower back on multiple occasions and is always so efficient and kind. She is consistent with great work and a fantastic attitude!

Ed has been my physiotherapist off and on for the past 12 years. Pre and post ACL surgery, IT band injuries and most recently an IT band/sartorius tendon combo injury. With 20 years (or more) of experience, a friendly demeanor and patience to answer ALL of my questions and listen to my concerns; I will always choose him as my physiotherapist. All of the staff at this location are extremely courteous and work very hard to make every visit a positive experience. I'm forever grateful for the continued care I've received over the years, as it has helped me continue to do what I love most.stay active.

I came to active physio works Kensington a month ago, after not much success with another clinic, with all kinds of back, hip and neck pain. Ed Shields spotted my problem instantly and with his help and the help of the great staff taking care of me, I feel much better and can’t wait to get outside and be active again. I suffer from occasional flare ups from a whiplash injury, TMD and lower back pain from a previous rear end MVA. My Physiotherapist, Dr. Mohammed "Moe" was extremely helpful and has very effective exercises that really made a difference for me to regain my endurance back and helped me manage my pain. He is very attentive to details. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Thank you Dr. Moe if you're reading this!

My insurance agency found this Active Physio for me, and I am glad I got to experience my healing here. The front desk ladies are the most welcoming, they always greeted me and called me by my name. I saw Troy (physio therapist) and Megan (massage therapist) here for 8 months. Being in physio from a car accident is not how I wanted to spend the last 8 months, but if I had to spend it with anyone, it would have been these amazing people at Active Physio Works Kensington. They made having to come to the clinic 1-3 days a week fun, and I am so grateful to have these memories with me. Thank you, all of you, for everything you do.

When I had strained my right distil tendon badly, moe hamdon got me back on track 110% with his instruction and treatment I exceeded my expectations and some because of him, and returned to full dutys in tip top shape thanks moe, awesome physiotherapist by far

I went to the Kensington location for my injuries for many years and they make me feel like they truly care about my issues.

I have been going to the Kensington location on and off for multiple injuries for over 6 years as well as for massages. I have always had the best treatment by the most knowledgeable and kind staff. Ed Shields is the greatest human/physiotherapist and I am so grateful that he has been able to assess and help me recover from my injuries. His positivity and knowledge can be matched by no one. Each and every staff member are great to chat with and they have all created a very positive environment for the patients to walk into. Megan Woodward is incredible at as well! Not only for her massages but for her ability to incorporate and assist in recovering my injuries while still allowing me to feel relaxed.

Dr. Moe Hamdon is the best of the best. Came in a few weeks ago with allot of pain and fatigue in both my knees. After a few sessions my knees feel better than ever. Im back to the gym and playing basketball again. Friendly staff and amazing doctors that actually care about your well being. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

Ed Shields is my physio therapist. He always greets me with a smile & when I come in he listens to what I have to say. He is very good at pin pointing the problem & fixing it ASAP. I feel well looked after & confident my issues will be addressed. I won't go anywhere else.

Ed has helped me tremendously, I have been struggling since my accident almost a year ago and thought I would never get back to myself again. It's only been 3 months but I've made leaps and bounds since working with Ed. I now have faith and can see the light at the end of the tunnel to complete healing. Riley was great. I had a hurt shoulder for months and figured it would heal on its own, it never did, I was taking daily pain killers. I tried a few different doctors and then I found Riley. I spent five weeks with Riley and have no more problems with my shoulder. It's so nice!

I saw Riley for a sprain, and in just a few sessions my ankle was so much better. It was my second time going to Kensington Physical Therapy for an issue (I saw Megan back in 2016 for a different problem) and both times I felt the exercises I was told to do were very helpful. Highly recommended!

Things were well for 20 appointments or so, but i noticed over the those past several months that i never once saw a staff wipe the tables before of after any of the appointments for me or others around. They told me that they did, but i never saw them do it! 3 days after my last appointment i felt very ill with a serious bacterial infection, 4 trips to the hospital and 6 weeks later, i'm still not fully recovered. Even though, i can't be 100% that it's where i got it from, it's the only place that week (or any other time) where i would have shared saliva with someone else (the table). Obviously here, what ever was left, uncleaned, on the therapist table from previous clients! Pretty good therapist there, but go at your own risk. And if you must go and use those tables face down, clean it yourself before you do. Don't assume that it was done before you got there, as this assumption, may cost you in a very big way! I told the manager, i'll never set foot in there again!

I’ve had to go to physio several times over the last couple years and I have had nothing but great experiences each time! Ed Shields helped me get back to my sport while giving me the knowledge to prevent further injuries in the future. I can’t thank him and his team enough!

Ed Shields has been my physiotherapist for almost 14 years. He consistently has shown tremendous compassion and is thorough in his assessment and treatment. There have been several instances over the years where I have been in excruciating pain with no appointment, and when I’ve called, he always fits me into his schedule. It is always best to set up appointments ahead of time of course! But I’ve been so appreciative of his compassion in these rare emergencies. He recently has treated my 2 young daughters as well - they both have received excellent care. We have been blessed with Ed as our physiotherapist and my entire family highly recommends him! You will not be disappointed with his level of professionalism and thorough knowledge of the best course of treatment for your situation.
