Active Physio Works - South Edmonton Magrath

Tyler is a great physiotherapist and I highly recommend him. He takes his time to determine the root cause of pain/discomfort. He patiently practiced all of the required exercises with me to make sure I did them correctly and in the most effective way.

Came in with severe sciatica - Nancy did a great job at diagnosing it, explaining what was going on with my body and then treating it effectively. Although I hope not to be back any time soon, there’s no question that this is where I will return with any further issues.

Having never been to physio before, it was a little difficult picking a trustworthy clinic but I am very glad I chose Active Physio Works. The physio I worked with was Nancy P who was able to diagnose the issue with my knee, developed a program for it and provide me with knowledge about my knee that I never knew. I couldn't be happier with the service I received here and would recommend Active Physio Works to anyone looking for a good physiotherapist.

As a track athlete I appreciate the excellent care I have received with Kendra at Active Physio Works. She keeps me running my best!

Nancy was wonderful, she helped me with my strained ankle from a snowboarding accident. She is very friendly, knowledgeable and thorough.

Don’t go this place! You don’t know what worse things will be happened to you if you don’t continue to get treatment with them.why I not give 1 star but give 2 stars for the reviews.because the lady works here do the the massage have good attitude that makes me feel better. This year I got car accident, I got low back pain and my car insurance company ask me to go there to do physiotherapy and massage, of course the insurance company pay everything for it.at first day to there, the lady ask me where I get pain.how I get pain and how much pain is it blabla…after they fill out all the paperwork and document.then tell to me I need take about 21 turns treatment. The thing is the more I go there the more pain I have.so I decided to stop take treatment over there. I cancelled the subsequent appointment for treatment。after that they sent me a bill about $110 for the cancellation fee.that is rediculous, but I have to pay it, because I don’t want to impact my credit score.they sent it to the credit agency to ask me to pay the cancellation fee.

I been doing physio there for more than a year. Staff and physio a awesome. I recommend that place

This is by far the best physiotherapy office I have ever been to and I've been to many different ones around the city. Now I found the one I will stick with. They do it all. They have so many different treatment options and personalize every treatment plan for your specific needs. I'm treating my second injury here with Neal and am having amazing results. He has fixed some very complex injuries I had to my shoulder after a surgery and now elbow. Highly recommend this place and especially Neal!

I had heard really positive reviews from other runners regarding the physiotherapists at Active Physio Works. When my Achilles Tendinitis started acting up about 6 weeks before I was to run the Boston Marathon, I went to Tyler Gamblin for treatment. I had been treated by other physiotherapists in the past for other injuries with mixed success. I could tell within 10 minutes of meeting Tyler that he was very knowledgeable about running injuries, and he was able to quickly home in on my issues and prepare a targeted treatment program for my specific circumstances. I did travel to Boston and was able to run the entire marathon course without experiencing any major Achilles problems. I would highly recommend Active Physio Works for all of your physiotherapy needs.

I've been suffering neck stiffness and pain for years because of degenerative cervical osteophytes. Recently I feel more pains and tired on my neck than before. My family doctor recommends me to try physiotherapy. I found Physio Works in Magrath on internet based on good customer reviews and location nearby. I had a wonderful experience so far after a few times of treatments at Physio Works in Magrath. All the staff here is friendly and helpful. Cleaning procedures have been well maintained. Daria is absolutely amazing. She is a kind, knowledgeable and patient therapist. I feel comfortable and a bit positive results after her professional and careful treatment each time. I know my issue is not an easy one; it’ll take long time to fight for it. But now I see hope. I believe as I follow Daria’s advices and instructions, and working hard on my neck at home, I’ll get better and better results. Thank you Daria again and keep up your great job!

I had a great time getting to complete my practicum at this clinic. All staff are extremely nice and welcoming. Physiotherapists are very knowledgeable and it is very clear they put the patient first and will do anything to make individuals feel comfortable during their time at the clinic. I'd recommend this clinic to anyone with a injury:)

I was fortunate to have found Active Physio three years ago after a previous Physiotherapist moved to a new location, and I wanted to seek treatment closer to my home. I was a walk in without a previous call to the clinic, and was referred to Daria Lauer who welcomed me and did an assessment about my health issues. It has been a very positive find with excellent care and a facility where clients and staff appear comfortable with each other.
I have great confidence in Daria and would certainly recommend her to anyone seeking competent and caring interaction.

The treatment I received at Active was absolutely fantastic. I came in on a WCB injury. Tara got the entire process started and worked with WCB on reports and billing. She set up a treatment plan immediately and worked closely with me the entire time. After 6 weeks of visits I'm cleared and working with a solid exercise plan moving forward. The care and attention I received was second to none and I cannot say enough about how awesome Tara is to work with.

I went to Active for my BPPV in 2022 and met with Tyler who was patient, caring and professional. I felt very comfortable during my sessions. He was able to help me treat and subsequently get rid of my vertigo, very happy I found him!

I started going here 2 weeks after my knee surgery not knowing a thing about how I can recover. I was recommended Tyler by a friend and wow am I happy I got him, Tyler is extremely knowledgeable and is meticulous when it comes to an injury. Tyler Gamblin is exceptional. His professional manner, knowledge and 1 on 1 treatments are the best I have ever received in my 20+ years of running. I highly recommend him. An absolute pleasure to work with. Continued success to you. Thank you! Being a runner himself, is of great value. He has been working on my lower back/glute/hips. The exercises given are emailed with video clips, so very helpful, to ensure that the exercise is carried out correctly.

As an active body with a tendency for over-doing it/pushing the envelope, you'll likely need a team around you to keep you healthy and on track.

Tyler Gamblin is an integral part of this for me and countless friends that I refer without hesitation. His mix of rehab planning, knowledge and genuine desire to see people doing what they love injury free is clearly what fuels the treatments he offers.

Kendra is amazing at her job!
When I first started seeing her last year after a major accident I was very mangled up! Within a few months she had me walking on my own after two broken knees, two broken legs and two broken ankles!
How she can motivate you is absolutely amazing! 10/10 would recommend her to absolutely anybody!

I've been seeing Neal Jenn at Active Physio Works for an ongoing concussion/whiplash injury. I've had many ups and downs during my recovery process and Neal has been absolutely amazing. He explains everything in terms I can understand, takes the time to get to know my injury history and general fitness routines, and supports my recovery through at-home exercises and consistent weekly check-in's. I cannot say enough great things about Neal! That being said, every therapist that I have met at Active Physio Works has been nothing but welcoming and sincere. Tyler is another therapist that I would highly recommend. He is incredibly knowledgeable and truly enjoys his work.

When I first started going there for my treatment I was finding it difficult to walk. As well as I had back pain and headaches. My physiotherapist is Daria and now because of her hands-on expertise I am on my way to recovery. The staff are exceptional and very accomadating. All the staff members are very friendly, and accommodating.

Tara is amazing. She is extremely knowledgeable, passionate and gentle. I had been crawling around for almost two weeks from a back injury and after seeing her I could actually walk/stand up straight. Tyler and all staff members actively develop meaningful rapport with each and every client. I drive 112 kms round trip for weekly treatment! I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Great customer service and treatment. I went to Tara Strekies physio therapist and she was amazing! Did a thorough diagnostic test and provided great treatment and exercises. She is a very nice person and will check up on her patients to make sure they are doing well.

I found this clinic by chance because my Doctor has an office in the same building. I am very glad I did. I went there for a shoulder problem back before COVID. Tara helped me out greatly. I also have a BPPV vertigo problem that comes and goes over a six week period. Doctors in the past said just wait it out. My new Doctor suggested physio. Tara suggested I see Daria. Daria used manipulation techniques to discover where the problem was and solved it in two or three visits. What a blessing to not have to go through dizziness for weeks! Has not reoccurred since. Since then I have been getting regular treatments for various other issues from Daria. She is caring and knowledgeable. She knows what to do and gets after it, and with an easygoing manner that makes you feel at ease. She manages her time with you well, I get relief and I get great exercises that are targeted at my issues. They use an app for that! COVID protocols are perfectly in place. Sanitize, get a fresh mask, answer the usual questions and temperature screen. Then wash your hands first. Easy to pay, cc on file only if you want and receipt by email if you want and therefore contactless. Front desk Kamal (sp?) is gracious, efficient and pleasant. Just go there.

Daria is the best Physiotherapist I have ever been to and I have been to Physio far too many times in my life. She is extremely knowledgeable and determined to locate a viable solution for both acute and chronic injuries. Highly recommend this clinic and Daria. Thank you for putting me back together.

Came here a year ago for an injured foot due to running. Saw Neil and he got me back to running again. This time I injured myself lifting someone and after my first appointment with Neil my pain greatly improved. After only two weeks of Physio I feel almost back to normal again. I highly recommend Active Physio! They’re life savers! All the staff are super nice and down to earth!

My physiotherapy experience with Tyler and the staff at Active Physio Works Magrath has been excellent. Everyone is welcoming, professional and friendly. Tyler is very knowledgeable and has provided effective physio treatment at each stage of my recovery. He is patient, easy to talk to and has always answered any of my questions thoroughly. Tyler has also provided helpful home exercises which he has tailored carefully to my goals and progress.

I always feel welcome when I come in the door, the front counter staff and other physiotherapists are great too.

Very friendly, experienced and patient staff. Great at catering to your specific needs and really understanding what will help you. A really nice change up from the typical boring, cookie cutter physiotherapy that has become far too common place these days.

All the staff at the Magrath location are exceptional: personable, professional, and highly trained in all aspects of treatment, from insurance claims to scheduling to developing specific treatment plans. The treatment that Neal has provided has made a vast improvement to my specific requirements by increasing my mobility, functionality, and strength in both of my arthritic knees. All staff do their utmost to keep us safe and healthy during these trying times while providing a truly exceptional level of treatment. I have seen many physiotherapists and this clinic is by far amongst the best I have experienced over the years. I have been seeing Daria there on and off for several months. She has been absolutely exceptional and goes above and beyond! Tyler Gamblin is an amazing PT. Personable and knows his stuff. I went from pain in my arches, knee and hips to no pain and running 35km per week from the couch just 11 weeks ago. The support staff are great as well. There's over a dozen PTs within 10 minutes of my house but I drive 25 minutes to this place!

I frequently receive treatment at Active Physio Works in South Edmonton and have left there feeling very satisfied with my experience! The office is always very clean and tidy and staff consistently follow Covid protocols to help patients feel safe and protected. Tyler Gamblin and his colleagues are always very professional, kind and timely. Tyler has been providing treatment to me for a shoulder injury and is always very receptive and open to feedback from me and is always asking questions and assessing the treatment plan to ensure it’s effectiveness. After going in with a sore shoulder, and making an appointment to see Neal, he diagnosed the problem and gave me exercises to do to strengthen the shoulder. It was not obvious to me where the problem was, and his assessment quickly located which muscles were the troublesome ones. Neal did what he should to get me back out into life without pain.
