Riley is the absolute best physiotherapist ever! He has so many methods to help you feel relief, and on top of that he’s very personable and always made me feel safe! Even when he was sticking needles in my back I felt completely comfortable in his care and fully trusted him. I wouldn’t go to see anyone else in St. Albert or Edmonton, I drove over an hour to specially see him because he truly is the best. Go see Riley!

Aly is an amazing physio therapist and has helped me immensely. Over the course of two similar injuries, she helped me go from unable to move my neck to playing with my kids and acting foolishly once again. I can’t recommend her enough. And she’s pretty cool to chat with, and that is always a bonus.

I had a wonderful experience at Physio Works! I was in a car accident and was having some pain in my upper back. Riley was knowledgeable and helpful; and showed me a few simple exercises to do at home to strengthen my back. The place is clean and the staff at the front desk are friendly.
I definitely recommend this location to anyone recovering from an injury.

Riley was great. I had considerable stiffness and swelling having broken my ankle. He provided lots of movement and exercise options that I can continue with on my own. Four months after my injury my ankle feels pretty good.

I saw Riley for a hip problem and I've noticed a big difference after months of limping. He was very professional and did an excellent assessment to get to the bottom of my pain. I would recommend seeing him for any issues!

Front to back, excellent staff. The desk staff are friendly and prompt checking you in and out. Once your in the therapy area you might be lucky enough to get the best physio therapist in Edmonton - Kendra W. No matter how many times I manage to hurt myself or how hurt I am, Kendra pinpoints the affected area and carries out needed manipulations. Jackie is always ready to apply the required ice / heat or those pads that do what ever they do. Back to playing my sport and that's perfect.

Excellent physiotherapist Graham Glennie did a one hour assessment of my "dizziness" problem. As I suspected I do not gave an inner ear problem, but a balance issue. He gave me some exercises to do. I'm glad I went back to this clinic as I've always received top notch care!

Christine is absolutely amazing. She is unbelievably knowledgeable, very compassionate and patient. She makes sure to understand you and your lifestyle to apply the best treatment. As a fitness professional she is my go to for treatment (she is amazing at dry needling) to get me back in the studio, always has me back up and running. I recommend her to everyone I know.

I recently saw Christine for a shoulder injury and she made such a difference, the exercises she gave me were simple and quick enough I can squeeze them into my busy day. She was so willing to be flexible with her time she was able to get me into her schedule on very short notice.

I have a wonderful experience with Julia. I have been seeing her for my neck and back after got rearended in july. She listens to all problems patiently and do what is needed. Basically she knows what is she doing. Her needles are amazing for spasms and pain relief. Thank you Girl:)

This is a nice place with a nice staff and average prices. I had a massage with Chrystina. She is very intuitive and respectful. If you want to have a nice quiet massage she can do that but I recommend having a conversation because she is really nice and smart. She can help out with any type of muscle pain and will probably find more spots you didn't even realize were in need of work.

I was extremely pleased with my treatment here.

My Physio was Ram. He’s great to deal with (polite, active listener, and he goes out of his way to explain things to patients.). I went in with a debilitating back spasm, and I walked out 80% cured after the first appointment. Ram carefully examined me and accurately diagnosed the issue, while being humble enough to stress that he couldn’t be sure until we saw how treatment went.

Follow-up visits have checked on the issue, and given me progressively more stretches and exercises to do. After three visits my back is my own responsibility again, although I’ve booked one long-term follow up appointment to make sure the exercises are on track.

I literally could not be happier with the care I received.

I had a great experience at Active Physio Works. Riley was very helpful, listened to all of my concerns and helped determine what was actually causing my pain to correct the issue quickly.

Riley is the best physiotherapist I have ever dealt with. I had a small tear in my rotator cuff. He was spot on with the diagnosis, great at working on the injured spots, gave me great exercises to rehab and to prevent a similar injury in the future.

I have been seeing Taylor Lashyn for the past five months, rehabbing from ACL surgery. Taylor is a very knowledgeable and respectful physiotherapist. He made sure to answer all my questions, and he was able show me a variety of exercises to target all stages of my progression. Taylor is also IMS certified, and this was very beneficial for my recovery. From the beginning, Taylor understood that my goal was to return to sport, and he supported me through the highs and lows of this process. Although my rehab has been long, Taylor was able to reassure me that I’m physically capable and also mentally able to trust my knee. I would highly recommend him!

Gone here multiple times and was great before but now with covid and this mask thing, terrible service was informed I cannot have a appointment since i cant wear a mask due to being exempt. Thanks for not taking care of some one that needs help. Terrible service this time around

Riley is a great physiotherapist! He is very knowledgeable in what he is doing and specifically addresses your areas of concern based on your chief complaint and assessment findings. One thing that makes him stand out from previous therapists I've seen is that he actually does hands on work with you instead of just putting you on a machine or heat/cold and leaving. Additionally, he is very clear at explaining your symptoms to map out a precise treatment plan and home care. Lastly, he is also very personable which makes every session very enjoyable. If you want work done and looking to get out of pain, Riley is the therapist to see!

As a competitive curler, I get sports related muscular aches and pains. Active Physio Works was recommended to me for their friendly professionalism and detailed approach to helping athletes return to play. Very helpful that they have locations in St Albert and in Edmonton.

I have been seeing Riley for my neck and shoulder. He takes his time to explain what he is doing and even convinced me to try needling. I have to say, for someone who hates getting needles, he has converted me to a believer. The needling really help with the deep tissue pain. I went from going twice a week to now going as I need to.

I injured my knee and decided it was time for Physio as I had delayed it for many months. Graham was amazing with the amount of care he had for his patients. My knees got better immediately on day 1! I am a very active person involved in several different sports and have a really hard time with injuries standing in my way. Since I have started going to Active Physio Works in 2016 I have always left there feeling great about my treatments. The therapists really care about giving you the best possible treatment and devote 100% of their attention to you when they see you about your injury. The exercises that I have been given over the past 4 years for different strains, pulled muscles, tendons and a fracture have become very useful for me as an athlete to continue to maintain strength in order to perform better in the sports in which I participate. I have seen James Dean for a number of different sports related injuries over the years. I like how he focuses my recovery with practical exercises that cater to my sport.

Everyone was so helpful and kind. The work they did on my shoulder was amazing. I walked in unable to move my arm and shoulder at all and the pain was unbelievable. Within 2 or 3 visits, I was getting mobility back in my arm and the pain was not as bad. I recommend Active Physio Work to everyone.

Was having hip/groin issues for the past 8 months. Was trying to remedy it with Chiro and massage to no avail. After 4 visits working on the issue with Riley I can safely say I am nearly back to 100%. Riley did a great job isolating the cause of my pain, assigning the right treatment, and following up with me between sessions to make sure I was seeing improvement and keeping up with my homework.

I love this location. The parking is ample and conveniently located near the entrance. The facility is spacious and bright. The entire staff is very friendly and administration is efficient and helpful with any paperwork. I have had minimal wait times and the therapist, James Dean, was patient while listening to my concerns and extremely knowledgeable with treatment. In addition to providing treatment he provided preventative recommendations which avoided any further in juries. Great team and great service all around.

I went to this clinic for the first time over 15 years ago and I would never go anywhere else! James has helped me through several sports injuries ensuring my return to activity is prompt but safe. The staff are caring, and they also provide exercises to patients to help them with their won recovery decreasing overall recovery time and the number of visits required. I am also a Personal Trainer and regularly refer clients to this clinic as they have a great attitude and value a team approach to recovery.

Riley welcomed me and right away began to inquire about the different problems I was having, and also several mobility and strength tests in order to gain insight into what was going on in my shoulder. He took the time to listen to my concerns as well as provide me answers to my many questions.

The exercises he gave me were effective in helping to strengthen the muscles, and the needling and deep tissue work helped with the pain relief and my mobility.

I have been struggling with this pain for a long time, and had come to the resolution that it would be here for a while.

After just 4 weeks with Riley, my pain is at an all-time low, my strength is up, and I am really able to enjoy my day-to-day.

The clinic is big and bright, and the sports highlights playing in the corner were welcome:) The only negative I have experienced, is that I have my appointments first thing in the morning, and twice when I showed up, the doors will still locked.

My Name is Bernice Ziegler and have been seeing James for about 10 months now. My husband and I were in an accident and I was injured. Whiplash and torn shoulder muscle. James worked on my neck and got it moving and the tingling I had in my arm has really decreased. Very happy with James. I would refer him to my family and friends.

Just over a year ago I had a work related head injury, in that time I have been to 3 different physio places, including Millard Health, all of which helped a little but symptoms kept arising.

James Dean has been extremely helpful on my road to recovery after a motor vehicle collision. He was always informative, showed concern and listened to my concerns. I didn't feel like I was wasting my time, which is very valuable to me!

After being told that only a cortisone shot would help my problem, I made an appointment with Christine. After assessing she decided needling would be the most beneficial.
I was feeling a little apprehensive but she quickly put me at ease. Taking her time massaging first and then needling.
I had been told how great Christine was at her job but was still pleasantly surprised at the quick pain relief as well as the mobility I experienced.
Christina's confidently professional and extremely proficient. I will definitely recommend her to my family and friends!

Frustrated with inappropriate communication regarding payment demands payment from family member in waiting area rather then dealing with the patient received the treatment.

I Broke my wrist and needed physiotherapy. I had seen active physio advertisements around some cycling events in the city. So I figured I would give them a try. I attended their MaGrath clinic three days a week for two months. I saw Tyler, Tara and Daria. They Are all wonderful. I saw Tyler for the most part but when I had to see either one of the ladies They were more then willing to accommodate my schedule. There was no change in my treatment Regardless of who I saw they were all on the same page. If you need help in your recovery I will give them a call

I was rear ended in my car last December, i sustained severe neck and back injuries. I could not move my head and suffered back injuries that made it difficult to do anything, I started getting treatment from James and his team. I want to in particular thank Kara Biendarra for the massage treatments that have help tremendously. Throughout this difficult time, each time a could count on a friendly smile, caring person who asked how you felt and then made her recommendation on what course of treatment would be best, true professional. Had my very first massage, was nice.got to feel relaxed for roughly 30 seconds as i'm leaving.o we still need to do some paper work. (you know the paperwork i was asked to come in early to do? (asked for 15 and i was there 10 min early only), ya sure fine.ya u were at lunch, ok.)
wouldn't have cared and it even gave me a chance read the part of haveing to pay if coverage doesn't, shouldn't be a problem as we've checked into that, right.so the problem come up when i was told that they bill directly and there should be no charge to me at all, as my coverage will look after it 100%. Awesome, to have someone actually work on my very bad back that has kept me from working, and some stress relief for before the holidays? To sweet as we have to use our coverage before december anyways.now the best part, nope your gunna have to pay.huh? 145$ before christmas, it turns out my coverage doesnt.whatever, wasn't even explained, just that her computer said she needed the $ and it had to come from me.i feel duped.certinaly not relaxed.had a panic attack instead.waited till next morning to write review as im still very upset by this.my wife thinks i should have just walked out, but thats not ok either.she did her job.she deserves to be paid.but damm, this is not what i needed.

Friendly staff but not a lot of privacy. They direct bill insurance companies so that's good. The wait can be a bit long. Over all its ok
