Affinity Medical Clinic

Visited the clinic as a walk in patient. I was very happy with the prompt service and was seen and treated within an hour. I also came back for a follow-up visit and once again I was impressed by the speedy service. Dr. Sahni and the team ensured I was seen promptly, demonstrating their commitment to efficient and effective care. I highly recommend this clinic for their consistent excellence.

I have been going to this clinic for a couple years now since moving to Calgary. The doctors I’ve seen have amazing bedside manners and are very thorough. I was seeing Dr. Karamdad before she moved clinics. Dr. Andrawes always saw me when she was away and he eventually became my new doctor when she moved. He is friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. He follows up with you if needed and prescribes appropriately. I moved to the south end of Calgary but a bad experience at another clinic made me realize the 35 min drive is worth it. I took a star away because they have very long wait times, even if you’ve made an appointment. There have been a couple times where I had to wait in the waiting room for 30-45 min even though I had an appointment.

Edit: I had to knock off a star because when you call to book or cancel an appointment you are put on hold for at least 20-30 min - even if you call first thing in the morning. It’s not just once or twice but it’s every call. They no longer have the patient portal to book appointments, which is unfortunate because it was so convenient for patients and reduced call volumes for the clinic.

I absolutely love this clinic. I've been going here for over two years. There have been issues with some receptionists with my appointments, but the other receptionists make up for their errors. I feel well taken care of here, they alway get me in as fast as possible and are caring about my situations. Dr. Victor is an amazing doctor, and I'm very grateful to have him as my family doctor. He's always been there for me and helped me more than any doctor I've ever had. I'm very grateful to be under his care.

Very bad my appointment has been canceled for many times more than 4 months to see a doctor so frustrating very bad service

The new doctor we have here is beyond amazing. It’s also nice to know we can walk in if without an appointment if there is an urgent matter. Very friendly staff. I have little kids and they are very understanding and accommodating.

Had been seeing Dr. Sahni for many years. Didn't really see him during university days but in the last couple of years, found his approach has changed. You literally have to fight to get referral for further tests and supports. You would be told it's nothing and not much of a concern. I agree with other's review about not to go to him unless you are ready to argue and be really firm about the kind of health care you need. He only provides one diagnosis and doesn't give you information about other possible causes. I had to goggle information to bring it up to him. He even missed to inform me about a test during my first trimester. By switching to a new doctor, I now feel how important and difference it makes to have a good family doctor. Would not recommend him. Also wait time is ridicilous as well, you will have to wait 20-30 mins post your appoitnment time.

What a gem this clinic is! The staff (including the pharmacy) are are some. I highly recommend.

No wonder it is hard to get a family doctor at this clinic they are so amazing. We were lucky to get assigned to a new doctor that joined the clinic.

I went to this clinic as a walk-in. I was amazed at how quickly I was able to see a doctor. I was seen by Dr Sahni, who was wonderful, very empathetic and listened to my concerns.

Great Doctors Office! Nice and clean, front staff is always very helpful and friendly. I have been a patient of Dr. Sahni's for ten years, and have seen Dr. Andrawes on occasion as well. Both wonderful doctors; attentive, empathetic and trustworthy. I always feel so well taken care of and lucky to have such a great Family Doctor.

Would highly recommend going else where. Huge waste of time.
I had random bruising all over me for months, so concerning I went in to get a check. Told me it was okay. Wrote me up a Super basic blood test that obviously came back normal.
My family doctor later pointed out to me that they missed all the crutial things they needed to test for, therefor had to redo another blood test.
Weeks of my time wasted going here.

Was waiting for an hour and half then told to leave. My son coughed while having a mask on. While other people walked in without masks. Receptionist was very rude. 2 1/2 hrs no call no nothing left for some other clinic. Cant even speak to an office administrator

Having good admin staff is half the battle. The docs were not taking on new patients at this location but the receptionist answered the phone promptly and directed me to resources where I can find a family doctor, this was way more helpful than any other clinic I've ever dealt with. All the best to you guys at Affinity.

What's the point to have an appointment booked when you still have to sit in the lobby for minimum 30 min to wait for your turn? Happened each time and i was really angry this time because my little one was starving and it's been over 40min wait after our scheduled appointment time, still waiting for doctor. The priority is not given to people who has an appointment, but walk in, unbelievable. Dr andrews is the reason We're still staying with this clinic, but really thinking to switch now.

Every part of the experience, from the receptionist, to the procedure, went smoother than I could have possibly ever dreamed! Everyone here is so caring and you can tell they really want to make you feel comfortable. I have such a phobia of doctors, but this clinic has changed my mind completely. Thank you so much!

I've been going to see Dr. Sahni for more than a decade. He is very professional, listens and very accommodating to my needs

Worst clinic ever. Made me sit for 1.5 hours for Dr. Bertha and she was busy laughing with nurses and being on her phone rather then attending the paitents. Don't go there at all

Walk in, the receptionist said less than an hour. Three hours later.still here. The front staff put other people with another doctor that was less busy hours before me. They lied saying they had appointments, I was listening to all of them. They lie.

Few things are more comforting when you're sick or injured than a doctor who listens to all of your concerns, tests, and treats appropriately.

I know that AHS pays doctors per appointment, which is why you'll see a lot of doctors in a rush to push you out the door; they're paid the same whether your appointment is 5 minutes or 25.

Despite that, Dr. Sahni has always taken ample time to address each of my concerns whenever I visit. He explains everything thoroughly, like explaining the conditions I've had, how he planned to treat them, and the potential side effects. He takes my concerns seriously, listens intently, and has refers me out to specialists as necessary. I really do get the feeling that Dr. Sahni is looking out for me and acts in my best interests. This is why he's been my family doctor for the past 8ish years.

The wait times vary (sometimes I've waited 2 min, other times maybe 20) as it depends on whether all the earlier patients were on time, and honestly, I'm willing to wait because they're probably getting the same time and attention that I receive.

Also, shout out to the pharmacist, Batul, who is equally caring and in-depth in her explanation of my prescriptions.

Overall, I've always had an amazing experience at this clinic, and would recommend the knowledgeable professionals here to anyone.

One of the best GP's in Calgary. When I moved here 17 years ago from the East Coast it was difficult finding a good doctor. I had a bad experience with my previous GP.
I have met Dr. Sahni about 8 years ago. Dr. Sahni really cares about his work and spends the time addressing your concerns. He never rushes you and is very polite and professional at all times. My previous GP seemed like he only would only allow 1-2 problems addressed and was quick to rush you out the door. He was always about filling his day with many appointments and doing public walk-ins. The waiting room time was minimum 1hr even when you had an appointment. The worst he would not refer you to the specialist when asked so you had to book another appointment after waiting months at time.
Dr. Sahni never rushes you and always asks if you have any questions.
I still remember the boom in 2005 where it was difficult to find a doctor or a doctor that was taking new patients. It was so bad that I would avoid doctor visits and doing annual check ups.
I am so glad to find someone like Dr. P. Sahni and when he told me that he wasn't accepting new patients-he had enough in the community. I consider myself lucky as my previous GP kept taking on new patients and doing public walk-ins. It is a shame for some doctors who just care about making the money from AHS and not caring for the general health of your patients. Dr. Sahni isn't one of them.

Dr. Perry Sahni has been my family doctor for over the past decade. He goes above and beyond what is required for a medical doctor to provide the best care he can for my medical needs. He is a compassionate doctor who listens and understands the importance of mental health. Dr. Sahni is a very respectful, knowledgeable, experienced and professional Doctor. Would highly recommend this clinic.

Dr. Sahani has been my family doctor for about 10+ years. He is very patient with my questions and answers them all. I understand it can get busy sometimes and I'm ok with that. The premises are clean, including the waiting area and the private rooms. I would recommend this clinic to anyone wanting to setup a family doctor.

Dr Perry, and his team have one of the best clinics, in Calgary. Dr Perry has been my family doctor for 5 years now, very professional and knowledgeable. Very respectful, and accommodating staff, weather you need help with booking appointments, or rescheduling. Calm, peaceful, and clean environment at the clinic, with a high level of focus paid to cleanliness. I would invite, and recommend any individuals, or families looking for a doctor or clinic, to come see Dr Perry Sahni, and his team at Affinity Medical Clinic.

I cannot speak highly enough of this clinic! Dr. Sahni has been my family doctor since I moved here, his bedside manner is impeccable, he take his time with his patience's and will address your concerned. I moved down town several years ago and I still travel 20-30 each way just to attend this clinic, which I’m sure says enough considering the calgary winters.

Dr Lillian is so judgmental and awkward.does not help you at all and just stares at you when you list your concerns.

The reception disrespect our time. She called us in for walk in when doctors schedules are fully booked for the day. We end up waiting in the waiting area way longer than normal. I think the reception take us as the back up plan for their office to max their profit. This is very unprofessional and should be reported!

I saw Dr. Victor today and he was very nice and took the time to answer my questions. He was very kind in regards to my situation and I really appreciated this! Great clinic, friendly receptionist/staff and I was seen very quickly!

Usually love going here but was extremely disappointed by my experience the other day. This is the location of my family doctor who is awesome, his name is Dr. Victor. I understand that places are busy but was expecting a little bit more hospitality from the receptionist. I came in with a ruptured radial flexor tendon and decided to go to the clinic of my family doctor for help. I walk in without a mask because it wasn't a priority, I think it was evident I was in a lot of pain as I was holding my hand. Waited an entire 15 minutes in complete pain just to be told by the receptionist "Can I give you a mask? " I don't think this statement is a problem but it would have been nice if I was asked if I needed help instead. I accepted and I think it was clear to see I could only use one hand by how I put on my mask. She made me wait a bit longer which is okay because it was busy. I explained my hand was definitely injured and I needed some help and she told me it was going to be about an hour and a half, I said this was okay and I asked if I could stay at home while I wait since I lived very close by. She said no. Thank you so much for making me feel welcome but I think I'm going to consider bringing my business elsewhere even though I really like my "family" doctor.

The doctor’s here are great! Dr Andrew is a very good dr and we love him. But the clinic music is soooo loud! I feel like I’m at a pub not at a dr office! Don’t understand why this volume like. I cannot hear when my dr speaks with me because of it!

Nice clinic, really clean and professional, lots of services available and a pharmacy. Doctors are all excellent too. Only catch is on average you'll wait 20min to see a doctor after your appointment time starts

This is an amazing clinic with amazing staff and extremely great doctors.
Tip: As a walk in appointment you need to be there at least 10 mins before they open to get seen.

-The doctors here are always in a rush to get to the next patient EVEN when you have booked an appointment. I had an appointment once and I was practically out in 5 mins. I could not even get a word out to talk about my other concerns.

If you want a doctor who takes their time and genuinely cares about your illness/problems, i would recommend NOT going here.

I am seeing Dr. Sahni for about four years, he listens to the patient very well and is very knowledgeable. He is always on time. He always remember my previous visit details (Probably writes good notes for each of my visit). I am always comfortable with his treatment.
They also have online portal which is very impressive where I can see my previous test results. So, my medical history on my phone.

I went there for my first time visiting and it was pleasant! I have visited Dr. Sarah and she is very professional, good, and nice doctor. The staff is very friendly as well. I definitely recommend this clinic!

Worst service ever! The receptionsits are rude and unprofessional. They made me wait for 2 hours and made me wait longer in the office. They basically forgot about a patient. The clinic should really put more effort into hiring knowledgeable, and patient friendly front staff. The staff would rather see you suffer, than schedule you in with a doctor pf their choosing.

Just walked in with my 2 year old son, and saw Dr. Sarah Alhuh. At the end of the appointment we've been told "you can leave now. Just don't cry" by her. If she can't tolerate a baby crying, she should probably only see adults. For anyone wanting see a caring doctor, think twice before seeing this doctor.

Most other clinics have terrible reviews. This clinic has the best reviews I've seen and it definitely lives up to the score!
Amazing staff, wonderful doctors, all are very professional and the wait times here is very good! Had 7 people in line ahead of me and it still only took 30 to 40 minutes with just 1 doctor.
Dr. Sahni is the head doctor here but the rest of his team are all very knowledgeable and just as professional/friendly as he is.
The best part is that all their doctors are listed online and you can see their working time. They have lots of availability for female doctors as well for those whom prefer it.

10/10 would recommend!

Why put open til 9pm if they stop taking patients few hours before? Had to take a family member who was pretty sick and the receptionist was so rude and undeserving of her job sitting there and rudely saying “well the doctor stopped taking patients” made me just lose it. Gosh. These people.

I am thankful to be under Dr. Sahni's care for the last four years, he is very knowledgeable and encouraging. The staffs at the clinic are also very friendly, and they leverage technology to expedite appointment booking and improve record transparency. I highly recommend the clinic.

Amazing team of great doctors and staff with Dr. Perry leading the charge! Business hours are great and there is a pharmacy attached as well. All in all a good spot to get your medical needs taken care!

Dr. Sahni has been my physician for several years now. He has cared for me and my wife through several health crises and my wife's passing with compassion and detailed thoroughness. He is the only doctor I have ever had that places a high value on the patient's time as well as his own and his appointments are kept on time whenever possible. Imagine my surprise in finding that he reviews patients files prior to their scheduled appointment to ensure he is up to date on the latest test results and circumstances.
