Shakeel is the one and only mechanic i trusted so far. He knows the behavior of all vehicles. Especially if you want your vehicle checked before you buy it, affordable is the right place.

I went few times this place and I did not get a good experience. Bad customer service, wasting time and youtube mechanics. I would not recommend to anyone.

They are very honest, very good service, they even provide free wifi when you are waiting, prices are good and owner is very kind and friendly.

Don’t go there they are fraud
1. Never buy any used car from him he buy taxi car rewind their odometer.

2. Never change engine oil from them they used same oil whether synthetic or regular they charge for synthetic but they change regular they don’t change oil filter most of times
3. Never Never fix car from them they don’t have professional labour SHAKEEL pay 10$ cash to their worker what you expect from them no professional work for 10$ but shakeel charge 120$ from their customers

I was his customer but not any more because 3 times their unprofessional worker try to fix my car but unable to fix still shakeel charge me he said my worker spent time your worker spent time because they are unprofessional they spent 1 hr watching YouTube how to fix car

Clearly. You're not understanding the issue at all or refusing to. Lol. Okay first of all we didn't get into an accident. We literally just hit our bumper onto something which damaged the bumper COSMETIC WISE. Electricals, wiring, and all other aspects of the car were fine even after the accident on our bumper. THERE WAS NO COLLISSION LIGHT OR AIRBAG THAT CAME OFF DURING THE BUMPER ACCIDENT BECAUSE IT WAS NOT A FREAKING ACCIDENT THAT WOULD INITIATE THAT. We are making a big deal because YOUR CAR SHOP CAUSED THE ISSUE OF MALFUNCTIONS AND LIGHT ISSUES TO THE CAR. The car was great condition PRIOR TO handing off the car to your shop. It then went to garbagw after your car shop laid hands on our car. You are the one refusing to recognize and hold yourselves accountable for something done under your supervision. WE REFUSED TO PAY FOR WHAT YOU DID TO MY BOYFRIEND'S CAR. MAKE THAT CLEAR. Educated enough? Are you kidding me? I MAY NOT KNOW A LOT ABOUT CARS COMPARED TO YOU BUT AT LEAST I HAVE COMMON SENSE AND BASIC UNDERSTANDING about the issue at hand here. It doesn't take a genius to know when they are being scammed by a business who fail to hold themselves accountable for their actions. Your shop refuses to finish the job to make more bucks. It's time to go back into training.not for cars.but character and business development wise because this car shop is very lacking. Also your so called treating my boyfriend and my father with respect? Lies. Everytime they asked for an explanation as to why the car resulted in that way YOU REFUSED TO TELL THEM or try to pinpoint the blame on us and keep bringing up what you will do for the car BUT WITH A PRICE TAG THAT MY BOYFRIEND HAS TO PAY FOR. Absolute scam of a place. Quotes a good price but than asks way more after the work is done. I would avoid this place at all costs. Also mostly all of the 5 star reviews are fake. Isn’t it just a coincidence that everyone that has given this place a 5 star have only reviewed one single place, which is this shop. Fabricating 5 star reviews just to make it seem like your a good mechanic. Absolute scam.

This shop is now my go to spot for auto body services in Calgary. With covid hitting our economy and especially small businesses I go out of my way to support small businesses- especially in the NE. Shakeel's shop is located just off Barlow by checker cabs and is the perfect spot to get any auto repair needs done. Now, I will say the place can get a little busy, but they'll run you a better price than half the shops out there and are honest about the prices - NO BS. I was a bit hesitant at first, but they made me feel at home. Quick - easy - honest. My nieces car runs better than ever. Let's try our best to support small businesses in our area! Oh and bring your mask! Thanks for the service!

My mom and I went here for a couple of things and the staff there helped us out so much! They were so kind and understanding as we did not know much about car maintenance. I have been to many other mechanics and no one has ever been this great. I appreciate their service and hard work! Thank you for the amazing help! Don't take your car here. These guys are just cons who will take your money and go absolutely nothing. Not even sure if anyone there is a real mechanic.

This auto “repair” place is as shady as they come. They have a nice elderly man upfront so I thought they were trust worthy. WRONG!
They give you one price then do not provide any documentation to prove they (you) purchased new parts or what work was completed.
I went there for a insurance inspection last March. Two weeks prior I had mistakenly entered the shop thinking it was Nic’s which is next door and stared chatting with the owner the elderly man named Shakiel I think, I thought this would be a honest place because of that.
When I returned and called ahead of time to see if the inspection could
Take place at about 10am. While I waited for them to finish Shakiel started asking me questions how much I paid for the jeep and if I had it checked out, I saw the dollar signs in his eyes, then gets his partner over while they were speaking in there language while he smoked indoors goes back then comes and tells me the inspection was $70 was told needed brakes $130 new windshield about $200 (it had a half a inch crack on the drivers side window) it would be approximately $400 and my Jeep would be ready in three hours. They kept stalling saying they were waiting on a part. The parts person who came was the money smoking guys lady friend who pretended to be a parts person had no debit machine, uniform, documents or identification and just went through around into the workshop which is not even legal to be back there while they are working. So four hours later the money man who constantly smoked inside the illegal cigarettes “Canadian goose” who was throwing numbers around came and said I needed another part of my brakes fixed which would be a addition $130. We agreed we would just call it $500 just wanting to get out of there. Two more hours later the money guy left not before having yet another cigarette started speaking in his language (Urdu I believe) again to the mechanic and I heard him say $565 and leave for the day. At the end of the business day the poor mechanic who was very kind but didn’t speak English very well rang me up and it came up to close to $600, I was confused because we already agreed on a price I told him that he just said I don’t know “uncle” said this much. So I paid with my visa and didn’t receive a official receipt with work completed. I finally got out of there and upon looking at the receipt from previous owner’s documents for the Jeep (including the original purchase Receipt from the jeep dealership) noticed that it was over due for a oil change which I thought was strange if they just completed a thorough inspection how could they miss that. So I call back saying hey I’m over due for a oil change and I did not receive a receipt, Shakiel remembered me and said to come in and that the oil change would be $50. So I go get the oil change and then he said he didn’t know how to print them to come back the following week and he would make sure they would have it ready for me. So I keep calling no one knows what I’m talking about. Call yet again the following week oh Shakiel is out of town, wait what I thought it was their legal responsibility to keep and provide all records of work done and give a write up before any work is done. I keep calling back still nothing. Finally I ask for a manager Alex, tell him the situation and that was little to no help at all. Arguing with me about who Shakiel he is still out of town, I was like look the math doesn’t add up and I want my receipt again required by law, so what does he do makes one up and write down a bunch of bull again that doesn’t add up. Still do not have any record or response from anyone because apparently everyone there is named uncle. I will be contacting the authorities

I was beyond impressed with Affordable Auto Repair. First off i did my research and their price on a full synthetic oil change was better than anywhere else in Calgary. I called them up and the friendly staff got me for a same day appointment, it took less than an hour to complete my oil change and they charged me exactly what they said it would cost over the phone.

I don’t ever review places but this was probably one of the best experiences I’ve had at a mechanic.
I was stranded with my boyfriend and we’re not from Calgary, my car was not working and I didn’t know anyone in town. I called here because it was the closest to where my car died and I’m happy they did cause they were so helpful. The guy (who I assume was the owner) was very kind on the phone and helped us get a tow truck to location. Once we got here, we explained our situation and he said he could work on it right away and gave us options on which parts to go with. We left the car there but he called before installing anything (I’ve had mechanics install things before asking) and didn’t even throw out the parts before he showed us what he took out and replaced and explained everything that was done to the car. The service was quick and the environment was so welcoming as I was stressed out being a place we aren’t familiar with. Thank you! Can’t recommend this place enough
