I was very pleased with my visit here and the care my dog received. I felt like they genuinely cared about her well-being and took the time to really investigate her injuries. Thank-you so much.
Sandy was the perfect veterinarian to look after our 15-year old dog, and her emotional owner. Sandy quickly did some testing and examination to determine the reason for our dog’s condition, and gave a number of actions we will take to help her recover. Sandy is the first veterinarian that our dog tolerated.
The staff is friendly from the minute you walk in the door until you walk out. They are helpful and answer all my questions, if I forgot one, I call, and they never treat me like I'm bothering them. I look forward to my continued care here for my dogs, thank you everyone at Airdrie Animal Clinic.
Airdrie Animal Clinic has been looking after our pets over the years and I wouldn't go anywhere else. When we lost our dog in 2020 they were helpful, understanding, and the follow-up was great. We have a new puppy and he actually likes going to the vet. Would recommend this clinic to anyone who is looking.
Dr. Monica is always awesome at explaining everything and giving the beat options. Staff is friendly anf really seem to care for every animal that comes in the door. Cant ask for more!
So very grateful for the kind and welcoming staff at the clinic.
Was very informative, compassionate and kind to our sweet Bella.
I also did notice that they have a candle at the front desk for when animals are in transition and that made my heart so warm and filled with gratitude.
We took our new rescue dog here yesterday for a wellness exam, vaccines, and a health concern. They were fantastic! We were put into a room right away. Everyone was friendly and stopped to pet and talk to our dog. Dr. Renae was very thorough and listed out several courses of action we could take, clearly defining the pros and cons, as well as the price points for each one. Very refreshing to have an upfront vet; it immediately made me feel confident in her. They have this great little set-up with a dutch door so the vet assistant (Wendy? Also awesome) is privy to the conversation and busy gathering paperwork, medicine, etc.while we were meeting with the vet. They also scanned her microchip so we could register her with the proper company and provided me everything I needed to get our information on file - the rescue org we got her from didn't provide any information on this, so I was grateful. SO EFFICIENT and just on the ball. After a few negative experiences with vets in Airdrie and Calgary area with our last pup, I'm so glad we found this place.
Amazing service. Andrea was so helpful and the whole staff were very friendly. They helped my 3 month old puppy get back to good health and their prices are competitive based on calling multiple clinics in airdrie. Definitely recommend them.
I had to have my cat put down recently. Staff were very caring and sympathetic. Went back to pick up a paw print impression in clay they had done for me. Along with that, there was a sympathy card attached with personalized notes from staff, and my cat's four paw prints on four little pieces of paper tucked inside the card. That was so special to me, and I so appreciate that extra effort to bring comfort.
Other then a slight mix up with a computer schedule it was amazing. After a scheduling glitch on their computer they were able to fit me in within an hour (on a friday before a long weekend - inpressive). And it wasnt a rushed appointment. Dr. Andrea was thorough with her exams on both my senior dogs. She ran the gammet of things that could be wrong and asked for a 2nd opinion right in house. She was NOT pushy at all with expensive options (bloodwork, sedated exams etc), although she gave them as options she respected where our values were with our very senior dogs. I have never experienced that before with a vet and was impressed. Some of the things we discussed in our 1 hour appointment made me believe that she still has her finger on the pulse of new things that are still coming out of the Calgary Veternary school. I like that as my entire childhood our vets just rested on their lorals. Dr. Andrea 5 out of 5. But her assistant. I think she said Wendy? 100 out of 5! She was on it. She was respectful and didnt intervene from behind her little dutch door, but she was constantly having an ear on the conversation. She heard a diagnosis or a question BAM print out ready for more information for me. We agree to a medication or vaccination BAM its ready and waiting on the dutch door again and marked for each dogs size. Impressed the hell out of me.
I try to watch for details, and I love that they have outdoor carpetting on the front covered steps. Is it awstheically pleasing - eh. Is it probably harder for them to maintain - guarenteed. But I know they have that there for the animals sake so that they can climb the stairs easily with confidence. That right there earns my respect immediately that they are looking out for whats best for the animals first.
I DO NOT recommend my mother to animal care establishments because her standards are astronomically high for her animals. I did refer her to Dr. Andrea. Thats as high of praise as I can do.
Price. I thought it was more then reasonable. 2 dogs full exams, 6 vaccinations total, 5 day medication + 30 day supplements and a 3-4 month supply of specialty cat food was $600. Its a big chunk of our budget but I have paid more elsewhere for less and not had the same level of service and care. I felt that it was great Value for our visit.
I have a very skittish timid cat and have had difficulties in the past with very appointments. Here they took such great care and we had the first visit of her life without the cat choosing violence! Appreciate the kind and gentle bedside table manners! Thank you?
We started taking our animals to this vet clinic when we moved to Airdrie about 2 years ago. We have 3 cats and 1 dog. All of the staff are always very friendly and knowledgeable. The vets have been so amazing too. They are caring and loving towards my animals and have helped me understand my pets needs. I will continue taking all my fur babies to this vet clinic, they are amazing!
We are very happy with this place. We take all our animals here. I absolutely love that I can take my dogs, cats and macaws to the same place, and the staff here are fantastic with all of them. My birds have not had such fantastic care from a veterinarian before, and the girls do such a wonderful job of cutting their nails. We are so happy to have found them.
Took my French bulldog, Kylo, here for his neutering and stenotic nare procedure. The vet tech was amazing and really put me at ease with my boy being a frenchie. His stitches stayed put and his incisions healed wonderfully. A place that really cares about the fur babies
Always use A A C because of the staff and their dedication to the work that they do. Exceptional is the only way to describe what they do for you and your furry family.
Fitted me in last minute to help certify my service dog for a last minute flight. Went out of their way to support us and ensure the volumes if paperwork were completed quickly and accurately.
Dr. Kim and the team have been absolutely amazing in helping me take care of my boy Dexter. They go above and beyond to make sure your pets are taken care of. This level of care and compassion is truly appreciated, especially when you have a sick pup.
Unfortunately, the rating will be 2 out of 5 stars. First and last time visiting.
Everything started well. Our cat had an eye infection and we wanted to get immediate care. Upon calling the person on the phone was courteous and were happy to get an appointment the next day.
Today, we came in and were told COVID protocols would not allow even one person to accompany the pet. I was very unhappy and informed them the animal could be nervous. They assured us that they knew what they were doing.
Fast forward 20 minutes. We get a call and were informed of the diagnosis and were given medication. Fine. Expected.
The vet then tells us that they recommend anti-anxiety medication for the animal. The animal bit one of the people. First of all, the animal is the most gentle thing and never once has bit any person, stranger or vet, ever. Not a single one. Then to suggest a sedative if we are to come back again?
Thanks for seeing us on short notice but we will not be coming back. When your animal acts like that for the first time in its life then it looks like the animal doesn't find the vet or staff comforting but rather stressful. And pushing sedatives. No thank you.
We have a bunny and wanted a clinic we could take him to for regular checkup's, nail cutting etc. And that's when I found Airdrie Animal Clinic.
The staff is always so good with our bunny (plus they have a few staff that have bunnies too, so they are familiar), and they are always so polite to us!
Love Airdrie Animal Clinic and would highly recommend them to anyone with bunnies.
I love this clinic. The staff are so good with my dog. Sally has had excellent care over and over again. She is still happy to go.makes a big difference. The staff has so much compassion to both Sally and I. Thank you. ️
They loved my dog, treated him, and followed up with us about his condition! Very professional and they provided a great experience. Will be taking my other dog there for treatments and check ups.
They were great. We had our dog Miga euthanized here. Despite it being heartbreaking, they made it so peaceful and respectful. They let all of us say goodbye and give us lots of time. They brought us in a beautiful room that not only made us comfortable but also made Miga comfortable. They explained everything amazingly and were very patient with us. They also comforted Miga while everything was being done. Would 100% recommend this vet. They have an amazing team and staff. They are very well equipped. And are very kind and respectful of your pet's wellbeing. They love every animal that comes into the vet new or old. Thank you so much for everything couldn't have asked for anything else. You guys are amazing.
They are wonderful with pets! My dog is always so excited to go here. The vet and vet technicians always make sure he is as comfortable as possible, and the receptionist are always polite and friendly!
My experience with this clinic started 8 months ago when my pug Stan had passed out unexpectedly, I called my vet (another clinic in Airdire) and I was told they couldn’t fit him in and I would have to take him to the hospital in Calgary. I called Airdire animal Clinic and explained the situation, they got me in immediately, though they were busy as well, needless to say they became Stans primary vet then and there. What amazing service!
Long story short we recently had to put Stan down, again we turned to Airdire Animal Clinic I could not have been more impressed with there compassion and understand while me and my family went though such a difficult time. I’m not one for writing reviews but after my experience with them it seems like the least I can do. Thank you all.
Hands down the best Veterinary Clinic we have ever been to! Riley, the tech we worked with, was amazing with our boy Shadow! After walking in there and meeting the staff, I knew he was in the best hands! I had taken him to 7 different clinics to get a quote on his dental work, and they had the best pricing, and genuinely seem to care about him! Not only that, but we were able to get in the very next day for his surgery due to a cancellation, with a 10% discount because his surgery was able to be done within 30 days! The day after surgery, Riley called to check up on him. We brought him back today for a follow up to see his he was healing, and he was SO excited to head back in there to see his new friends! A HUGE Thank You! To Dr Monica, Riley, and all the staff at Airdrie Animal Clinic!
Although despite their very best efforts, we had to make the horrible decision to let our Micky go. After honest, realistic discussion with Dr Fuller we made that awful decision. We found every single one of the staff to be caring and compassionate and loving to our Micky, before during and after. Can’t express iur gratitude and appreciation for how we, and more importantly, Micky have been treated during this painful time. ️
Great first impression on the phone. Friendly and caring staff. Coco my cat also really enjoyed the experience. Well she's a cat so I'm just assuming but they were positive meows
They were able to squeeze in my little four month old cockatiel with a sore leg. I was happy to see they didn't wear gloves with such a small bird, in fact I was worried I might lose little Mouse when he refused to get of one of the girls. The price was reasonable. I'll definitely return with Mouse and my other cockatiels.
Took my new puppy here for her first visit. Was served promptly and professionally. The vet answered all my questions and was very informative! I needed to get my pup in right away, and they accommodated us! I used to go here with my last pup, until he passed away. I will continue to take our pup here!
I took my pup here by recommendation of a friend. If I could give them Zero stars I would. They only care about your money and to upsell and upcharge for what is not necessary. Take your money and the health of your animals somewhere else. My puppy had a reoccurring ear infection. We did treat it back in spring in this clinic. But either it was not properly treated then or water got in the ear again. I came back here as they are the one who treated it 6 months ago and specifically asked to put the same medication in the ear that we did in spring - which is $60. The nurse called me in a minute to say that they will do exactly that as it worked perfect in the spring and recommend do buy an ear cleaner. Which is fine - $12. Right on - receptionist calls me and asks for a credit card not even considering to update me on the price of the total bill. So guess what? They charged me $230 for the visit and explained that they did a lot of other things to that ear this time. I didn't ask to do anything else to that ear. Meaning the nurse looked in the ear for 2 seconds and they charge me the price of consultation plus other fees. Do not go there. They only care about your money while your animal will be looked at only for 2 seconds. Bad service for expensive price. I am definitely not coming back.
We have taken our great danes here for years. My wife and myself find the receptionist hostile and unfriendly the last 2 visits. Please close your doors if the customer is the enemy. I will buy the $145 dog food from amazon.
Unlike A&W, this outfit does not appreciate the circumstance that truck drivers face every day. They declined a desperate request to diagnose and possibly treat a lump developing on my pups undercarriage. I will not be returning to this outfit. It's important to note that on the very few occasions, when my puppy has needed veterinary car, a few animal hospitals have moved currently appointments aside to make room for my puppy. The Veterinary clinic in Chetwynd BC (coming down the hill into town), Valleyview clinic in Kamloops BC has also earned a gold star in my books for helping me out on a few occasions. The Clinic in Downtown Kelowna (off if Spall Rd) made my puppies health a top priority, and I will be forever grateful. This business has, "Compassionate Care" written on their sign outside the clinic, but have forgotten exactly what that means inside the clinic.
I had a emergency with one of my dog. They take very good care of him quickly even for the fact this place is not my regular vet clinic. The service provided was transparent and fair compare some emergency vet clinics.
Thanks for selling my girlfriend everything we didn't come there for a simple ear irritation on my dog who is a glorified house pet got every vaccination we didn't need my question is to you sell rabies vaccinations to people with turtles I will not be returning came here a few years ago with my other dog for foxtail in his nose you guys did a great job in and out same day no extras this time my dog got sold on everything we didn't need she's a house pet doesn't come in contact with very many wild animals or other dogs often enough to need heartworm pills or rabies vaccinations I've had my other dog for almost 10yrs and lots of other dogs threw my life and none of them have ever needed any of what you sold my girlfriend I guess you could see she had money to spend and a heart to take advantage of if I could I would come in and give you piece of my mind myself thanks for wasting our money
As always they are awesome and they really care about the pet and your wallet! They removed potential tooth problems (baby’s teeth) while they nurtured our dog. Saved us 600 bucks! We have been to this clinic since 1990
Dr Carmen and her team were amazing! Very professional and compassionate towards or 80lb scardy-cat Lab. Drop of for surgery was quick and they tried to make it as stress free as possible for both him and us!
I wish i could say good things about Airdrie Animal Clinic. After taking my dog in to VCA this weekend regarding a leg injury he accidentally gave himself after chasing a squirrel in the backyard. Unable to walk on his rear leg for most of the day i figured i should take him in to emergency just in case there was a serious issue going on. During our visit to VCA, it was determined that my dog needed to get an X-Ray done in order to see if there was any damage done. I thought nothing of it because i luckily have Trupanion Insurance and their coverage is great to cover the expensive costs of vet bills. Shortly after the Pre-Approval was sent by VCA it came back denied and ineligible for coverage because of a "Pre-Existing Condition" Airdrie Animal Clinic diagnosed him with at one of his appointments to receive his shots at 2 months old. I was quite shocked at this outcome because not once was in informed as the pet owner that my dog might possibly have this condition. (I took my dog to 2 other vets for other check-ups and vaccines, and during examinations both vets concluded that all musculoskeletal parts were normal and showed no signs of any said condition. Now 5 days later, waiting on an appeal that could take 6-8 weeks according to Trupanion, My poor dog is having a hard time walking and cant get the treatment and care he needs for an accidental injury not even related to this "condition". All thanks to Airdrie Animal Clinic for the lack of information given.
Recently I had to put my 14 year old dog to sleep. During the last few years of his life, Bo suffered from arthritis, and we were fortunate and blessed the incredible Dr. Kim Palacios to care for him these past few years. She clearly loved our old Bo, and consistently did what was best for him in terms of comfort and pain relief. Dr. Kim treated Bo as if he were one of her own beloved pets, how reassuring it was to see my old fella treated with such love and care. When the end came, Dr. Kim was not available, but Dr. Tomoko Suzuki was there with us, calm, caring and gentle, assuring us that all would be well. I still have tears in my eyes as I write this, Bo has left an empty space in my heart, but I take great comfort in knowing that these wonderful Veterinarians gave him comfort and peace, and that he knew he was loved.
