Honestly, the food is not that great for the price. I would try somewhere else in Jasper. I got the gnocchi and it was very bland for $26. Barely ate any and was still charged for it.
Good food, good vibes, the tiramisu was definitely not it, but the server took it off the bill for us after we expressed how bad it was lmao. But everything else was splendid, the 8 oz steak was dope.
Great find for a mid arvo feast. We ordered the seafood spaghetti, wild mushroom ravioli, caprese salad and a carpaccio. Highly recommended for a filling meal in the heart of Jasper. Service was extremely efficient and friendly.
Food were delicious. My husband and I ordered the mushroom ravioli and salmon. They're really superb. A must recommended you guys should have to try it too.
It's an Amazing Restaurant in Jasper Alberta to dine out with a very friendly customer service with exceptional skills. I Loved the food which was very delicious and Authentic Italian cousin. The Lamb Brassato was amazingly tender & flavorful as well as the crispy Aranchini. Love to visit Alba Restaurant on my next visit to Jasper.
The beautiful scenery from their patio was heavenly, the Lamb Brasato and Lasagna were delicious. We really enjoyed our dinner.a must to visit whenever you are in Jasper.
Alba Restaurant is the perfect spot to rest from exploring the Canadian Rockies. Very delicious food, amazing presentation the ravioli are especially recommended, the service was exceptional with a perfect view of the mountains. Overall I was very pleased with my experience and definitely would recommend that to every visitor to the town of Jasper.
The mountain view was superb plus the quality customer service. Would definitelu comeback for the chicken cacciatore and seafood spaghetti. Thank you for the experience.
Not great. The service was very slow and it seemed like the serving staff didn't really care much about the customers. The food was average at best - the carpaccio appy was good, but the oxtail pasta was very bland, as well as the shrimp risotto, and that came with a grand total of four shrimp in the dish. A very poor dinner out in Jasper. Not impressed and won't go back again.
Delicious! I particularly enjoyed the Crostini Platter and the Mezzo Rigatoni. Tuscan Arugula and Prosciutto salad was good, the baked meatballs however is just about average. Overall, nice setting and good service!
The food was excellent. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. Best food we've had in Jasper. We had the carbonara, mushroom ravioli, gnocchi, and seafood bowl. Everyone loved their meal.
We came to this restaurant because it had good reviews. It’s an Italian restaurant but the food was not authentic. I would say it’s more like a fast food. And the price is expensive. I don’t know how they got high review points.
Very good food with a nice view of the mountains from the outdoor seating. The mushroom ravioli was particularly incredible! Also had a delicious lemon drop martini. To note: only accessible via 2 flights of stairs, so not accessible by wheelchair or for people with limited mobility.
The food looked nice, but the flavor wasn’t there. The steak was really under-seasoned and the lamb was mediocre. The staff was also not that friendly: (
The restaurant was clean. The food was probably one of the worst that I’ve ever had. My medium duck breast was extremely dry, it was hard to swallow. My wife’s lamb and my mother’s carbonara was tasteless. The meatball appetizer was not enjoyable at all. Even the bread was basic. What makes it worst that this is nor a cheap restaurant. We payed a lot for terrible food. I would recommend to the restaurant to revisit their food and have better quality control.
Had an amazing meal a couple of weeks ago while in Jasper. Food was excellent and the people who work there were so nice. Felt incredibly welcomed and well fed. Would 100% go again!
Great place to eat Italian with a little bit of an Albertan/ Canadian twist. While they have a selection of classic Italian dishes (I.e mushroom ravioli, mezzo rigatoni) they have a few fusion dishes like duck confit or oxtail pappardelle made in almost a gravy-like texture.
Although the service was good and attentive, the pasta dishes we ordered were not good. The Mezzi Rigatoni and the Oxtail (shown in the pictures) were indistinguishable except for the pasta. The sauce was on the salty side and was not what we were expecting.
Great entrees, great wine menu, great dessert. We got a reservation easily, staff were very helpful and we got great service. Would definitely recommend!
Ordered the oxtail pasta and it wasn't good. There was also a bad odor (BO) in the room even though we were seated next to the door. That might have affected my experience a lot. My husband ordered another fish that had the same exact sauce I had in my dish but different pasta. He didn't like it either. I wouldn't recommend it.
Easily one of the best restaurants in Jasper, hands down! The Carbonara alla Jasper was my very first carbonara dish to ever try and I don't think I'll ever be able to eat any other carbonara dishes except this one (meaning I'd have to drive 4 hours every single time). The amount of pasta you receive is reasonable for the price point as well so you definitely get your money's worth! I'd also recommend the Side of Bread Basket as it perfectly pairs with the Carbonara alla Jasper ️ Either way, whatever you choose, it's a treat. Compliments to the chef, the workers, and the owner of the restaurant! 11/10 would recommend going here and will DEFINITELY be going back again!
We were told / read jasper food was all touristy and not to expect much in terms of quality / price. They were wrong. This place had amazingly friendly staff. The portion was massive. We had calamari to start and it was huge for 2 people. The pastas were double the size you would get at a usual Italian place and the price was good. Pasta was all cooked well and the sauces were flavourful. I highly recommend this place. We reserved ahead of time on open table but they had room for walk in. The patio is nice as it is upstairs so you get a nice view without the ton of people walking right by you.
I had a phenomenal time at Alba! I very highly recommend asking for a rooftop patio seat as the view and atmosphere is amazing. The servers were wonderful and very attentive. Slightly smaller portions than I’m used to but I still ended up very full!
Great service. Very friendly and personable. Appetizers were great, we had the aranchini balls and the calamari. Sooo delicious. And the peperoncini dip was amazing. My bf had the oxtail pasta and said it was one of the top 3 pastas of his life.
Had the oxtail, and strongly recommend if you're up for something heavier and rich in flavour. Overall a nice location, good service, spacious and not overly noisy, and solid flavours and menu choices. The only criticism against this place is the state of their physical menus is abysmal, with multiple dishes being impossible to fully read through the descriptions of due to excess wear. Laminating these to prevent wear and make them easier to clean in the age of COVID is an obvious move that this place should seriously consider.
Delicious! Had an amazing meal at Alba. From start to finish all the food was delicious. We had the archini to start. Then the Oxtail rage and Mezze Rigatoni for our mains. Lillian was an absolute gem. 10/10 would recommend.
Not your standard fare for an Italian restaurant. No lasagna or spaghetti and meatballs here. A little more upscale than that. My husband had the mushroom ravioli, which was really good. However he ordered the regular size, which was not really enough for a dinner portion, so I would suggest you order the large serving for dinner. I had the salmon. It came with roasted potatoes, broccoli, brussel sprouts, baby tomatoes and kale, and a sauce that was so delicious! The service was excellent and they were very conscientious about Covid (staff wearing masks, tables well distanced from each other, etc,). I would highly recommend coming here for a nice dinner.
Pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. The orders came out perfectly timed. The arancini was delicious and very light appetizer. Carbonara and the mushrooms ravioli were phenomenal. Both sauces were creamy and flavourful. Definitely would eat here again when we go back to Jasper.
The shrimp was raw. Duck was well done, when ordered medium. From one regular sized arranchini, they made four. Ravioli was counted? FOOD WAS BLAND. The server hovered over us so that we would be rushed out. The reservation was for 9PM. They close at 9PM. Informed them it was my birthday, at least they made it memorable by being infamous. Tax, tip and total came to over $93 CAD.
Not the best service, definitely not as good food here as others have commented on. Must have gone downhill after the pandemic, lots of better places in the area!
Ordered the oxtail rigatoni ($25) and duck confit parpadelle ($25) I wasn't a fan of either as both dishes had a very gamey taste in my opinion. Portions were fair and excellent service.
Walked out after waiting 2 hours for our mains. The waiter had come back after 15 minutes to confirm our order and after another 25 to say that one of the items was unavailable. Then, we waited and waited as diners who’d arrived after us got and ate their full orders, and left. The quality of the food wasn’t the issue (the apps were fine), but rather, the unacceptable delays.
Losing a star for trying to charge me for the drink that was returned (flat coke) and was not consumed. Other then that the food and service were good, although I would not call it authentic Italian. E.g. Both Tiramisu and Panna Cotta are very different from what you get in Italy, although still good in its own way. Oxtail and wild mushroom ravioli are recommended. Calamari appetizer also was very good.
I have to say that the food here was on point. It was great and it was also fast. The flavour was exceptional and smooth. Every dish I had was just amazing. Thank you very much!
We had the calamari & a half platter of smoked salmon + cream cheese which was great! For Entrées we had the mushroom ravioli (which is mushroom-y so make sure you’re okay with that) and the Lamb; both were excellent! Had the Affogato for dessert which is espresso poured over vanilla ice cream and I highly recommend it. We got a bottle of the Ruffino Chanti red wine and we couldn’t get enough! Loved this place, our server was very attentive and friendly, food was terrific, highly suggest Alba.
Ordered calamari to start. Tasty large portion had the seafood spaghetti and sockeye salmon. Food was tasty. A bit pricey IMHO for what you get but the service was good and staff were friendly and nice to talk to.
