Alberta Arborists

I had Alberta Arborists cut down a troublesome birch tree on my rental property last week. I booked them in late August and was put on a 6 week queue subject to adverse weather. Their team arrived at about the 7 week mark, which is quite acceptable. In hindsight, I should have booked earlier in the season to have the tree removed before shedding its leaves. However, the team did a great job - fast, efficient, clean, courteous - very professional! Heidi & Michael were great to work with. Unfortunately, I have forgotten the names of the team, but kudos to them! I will definitely be contacting Alberta Arborists for my next tree trimming or removal.

Wow! The company has been great to work with. Michael and Heidi in the office were helpful and professional in all my dealings. The process to set the appointment was open and honest. I felt confident in what would happen and when.
Justin and his team were exceptional. I so appreciated Justin’s on-site advice. He listened well and was responsive. I thought I needed some additional work completed, and he explained, in a way I understood, what did in fact need attention, and what didn’t.
The work was completed and the team gone in almost no time. I thought the team worked well together. It was apparent each had a task and they did all that was needed. The guys did a great job cleaning the site and ensured no debris was left in the roadway.
I look forward to other staff coming to grind the stump of the two trees cut down and in the fall to administer a deep root fertilizer.

The Team for Alberta Arborists showed up on time, were courteous, friendly and professional and completed the work efficiently and quickly. I was impressed by the clean up process following the work on my trees and shrubs (left it cleaner than when they started.) I can easily recommend this company and give it 5 stars.

We sent a video of our rental property we needed trees removed from and we had an estimate in a few days. They contacted us the day before their crew was coming out. Michael in the office was very friendly and professional; keeping us updated on the job. The crew removed everything we tagged and you can hardly tell they were there, except for the trees they removed! Excellent clean up from the crew! Absolutely zero property damage as well! We were very pleased with the work done by Alberta Arborists. They were professional, accommodating and pleasant to work with. The clean-up was excellent even though it was pouring rain. We would definitely call them again in the future.

We had work done on two of our ~50 foot Spruce trees and a handful of Birch trees. The folks at Alberta Arborists gave us great advice and completed the job with great results. Highly recommend for any of your Arborist needs!

We had to get a tall aspen taken down received a quote it was quick and easy and better than others. Then on the day of the job there team shows up on time they were professional, knowledgeable got it done they cleaned up after, then a stump removal guy from this company as well stopped by shortly after and provided the same great service. Would use again.

The crew I had were kind and friendly. Had a few chuckles with them. The work done was great and they were $1300 cheaper than the competition. Will definitely use them again and highly recommended them.

A really disappointing experience. Last year I asked them to contact me before coming for a fertilization job as my yard is locked. They assured me twice they would and never did. I was told the job was complete with a note on my front door one day. When I called about possibly they could complete it without access, they said the tech jumped the fences. I was upset. You don’t know what’s on the other side of that and what you and your equipment (? !) you’re jumping with will be landing on.

To address this, they offered a redo for free in the spring this year and guaranteed a call ahead to gain access. I got an email in April saying ‘dont worry we haven’t forgotten about you, we’re doing spring stuff in April/may’. I contact late May as I received an advertisement to sign up for services this spring yet still had not gotten my original completed. They told me they will get to it but could provide no eta. Still mid June there is nothing and no contact. I tell them I want to cancel and they say they will come end of June if I just wait longer but I said no thank you. They confirmed the cancellation.

For some reason, the very end of June, someone comes to the house and does the front yard, leaving a note they couldn’t access the back due to the locks….

Clearly there is a huge struggle with organization, I’m really shocked they have 5 stars!

Well after waiting about 6 months they finally showed up. That’s probably the only negative part.
The person who showed up was super courteous and extremely knowledgeable about the effects of what can and cannot be pruned.

I figured they would just trim and it and leave. That’s was 2 hours ago. They trimmed the outside but also pruned what was overflowing on the inside. They were super efficient and you could tell that they worked on a very tight schedule. As soon as they were done, no time for chit chat and on to the next job. Before he started and during the process they told me exactly what was going on and what could be removed and should be removed and what could not be.

I can’t believe they loaded the entire truck with just my trimmings alone and that was after it got mulched. There is no way a home owner could do what they did without all those fancy bucket lifts and extendable saws.

I’ve included the before and after but the pictures don’t do justice to the amount of work they did. I definitely recommend them, but book early on.

I had a bunch of trees to be pruned and yard cleaned up to make it presentable and they were the best and polite people I've had to deal with when they were done.the clean up was impeccable I will have them come and do all my tree work from now on. And very professional.
