I used to live in the neighborhood - I like coming back here for Kaleido Fest and other events. The hall is fairly spacious and great for many different kinds of events, and it's been well-kempt since it was built, I think, in the '70s. The grounds north beyond the league building are awesome, and make Kaleido Fest so much bigger and better than it used to be, when the stage was crammed into a parking lot.
I've been occasionally renting their commercial kitchen over the last few weeks and am super impressed with their setup for the pricepoint. It's always clean when I arrive and they have everything I need (minus a mixer, but I bring my own). The convection oven has 5 racks and bakes cookie sheets twice the size of the ones I have at home. Thankfully, the league also has a large collection of compatible cookie sheets that I am able to use during my time in the kitchen.
Rental requests receive responses within 24 hours and access to the kitchen after business hours is easy and straightforward. Whenever I have questions, Karen is quick to answer them.
Renting this kitchen has eased a lot of my anxieties over starting a small business and I am so happy I called to inquire last month. They've been a large part of my success as I get started.
No point in even trying to pick a date if you’re talking to Karen. I sent a form in asking for a Saturday it wasn’t available so I asked for the next availability and all she said was may. No actual date. Just one brief sentence and it takes 24 hours to get that lack of response. Hopefully your date is simply already available or you may have to fight to find out if there even is an opening.
