Alberta Children Hospital - Emergency

Our grandkid felt short of breath. She received well treatments by the nurses and doctor promptly and been able to return home sooner than we expected. Just wanted to say a big thank you!

Except for the staff at the entrance, everyone was unfriendly and rude. The asian woman in Admitting B in particular was very arrogant and showing an attitude that she didn't want to work but was sitting out. Horrible!

Everyone was nice, helpful and courteous except the doctor himself. Dr. Unwala is the most useless and careless paediatrician I have ever met. He might be in the wrong profession.

Staff are extremely rude. They should pass ethical classes before hiring. Wait times are ridiculous.

We went to the hospital late in the evening on April 17, our 3-month-old baby was immediately admitted and examined. With a temperature of 39.1, they gave me some medicine and sent me home. There was no temperature in the morning. There was a translator into Ukrainian. I really liked the service. Very good hospital. You will not be left without attention.

The staff is very friendly. The wait is normal, unfortunately there is no control of who is going to be sick or not. Thank you to all the nurses and doctors for helping our kids

Absolutely amazing staff and doctors here. If it's an emergency they WILL take you and see you right away. The care is phenomenal and I can't say enough about the kindness we received. Thank you all for your hard work and big hearts

My son have fiver 106.7 and they are doing nothing, last night I came 9pm and now is 8: 42 and I’m still wanting and they are saying 3 more hours. It’s crazy, and staff is very rude.
VERY BAD SERVICE

Yssterday we arrived at around 9: 20am in the emergency, after and hr they admit my kid who is vomiting a lot and came from flu, he was really weak.and sitting for a long time, changing position left to right, call him to check at around 3: 30 pm.its a long time of wating, i wish they have a long bench for kids to lay down while waiting

Very long wait my baby check head problem we wait 6.30 hour I agree and happy if charge 50 to 100 dollars emergency fees no problem hiring more staff save time every one fast process thanks

The best and kindest staff I've ever had the pleasure to meet. They were so good with each person and child. Highly recommended

Five hours of waiting and I'm still in the hospital and I don't know when my turn will come! Comment yours? ! The attached picture proves that my words are correct. They say the maximum wait is five hours. I've been waiting for six hours and I'm still waiting! Till when?

Don’t come here, just save yourself the headache and call 911, go to a walk-in or see your primary care physician. I have a few family members that are big players within the charity organizations that donate big money to the children’s hospital and they would be shocked at what’s going on. My son is sitting in the emerg and can barely breath. He’s 18 months old. It’s 1: 30am. 3 hours later, still no doc. All this big money and tax paying dollars for what? Our babies deserve so much better. Absolutely atrocious. Where are the checks and balances?

Pathetic experience. Unwelcoming staff. 7 hours waiting time. …… better to bare the pain than to go to this hospital. Come here as a lasttttttt resort.

Very kind and efficient workers.the waiting time can be quite long but the staff do their best, while trying to be as kind and helpful as possible

Minimum 3 hrs waiting for 3mins max check up with the doctor! We went here because of my sons high fever and vommiting and we end up with swabtest and sent back home. Dr said we will get the result within 24 hrs and we are still waiting' 3 days now for the result. Husband and i cannot go to work because of that! We both need to show the result to get back to work.

No one cares about the patients, they just put you in room and you stay for 3 to 5 hours for nothing

Very slow staff and service. Waited 4 hours with a 5 month old baby! I do not recommend this place!

Waited for more than 5 hours with a 10 month old baby, we came at 12 midnight with a high fever, and just being reassessed at the triage. Just call the EMS so u wont have to wait that long if you have insurance, their staff is so slow, these is where our taxes go. Free healthcare but longer waiting time. It sucks.
