I would suggest not wasting your time filing a complaint. The complainant has to provide evidence, while the doctor can just simply state that isn’t what occurred based off their own memory of the event. The complainants word is not sufficient evidence, but the doctors is.

Puts everything into a fair and equal sharing of specific doctor’s offices not following the guidelines and costs of delivery of one’s private, specific files and medical information.
Aldo, helps maintain specific conduct rules and regulations for a doctor’s office staff and patients.
Helped me to understand the overbooking of a doctors office appointments and examined several misleading staff members of said office!
Really a great resource yo use when something does not seem to be correct or right being charged for a service at a doctor’s office and helped me to understand the actions needed by them to call upon doctor’s office staff and call out unprofessionalism, incorrect booking of appointments, charges to patient that are covered by Alberta Works etc.etc.

In my eperience CPSA is VERY slow to progress complaints, all the while, people continue to be hurt by the same doctor. I actually have people calling me or taking my advice to avoid surgery from the doctor I have had a complaint against for nearly two years where the evidence clearly shows he caused unnecessary damage. There are now numerous complaints in against this doctor.

CPSA needs to pick up there socks a little and serve and protect Albertans a little better.
