Replaced my phone screen for a better price than anywhere else I was quoted. Did the work quickly and was very helpful. The employee I dealt with was great, I'm afraid I don't remember his name.

Took my iPhone in there to have it repaired and have the back put on it however they were supposed to inspect the phone first they just stuck the back on it and charged me $189 when I picked up the phone and never worked then I took it to another place within 10 minutes of realizing that and they showed me exactly where all the water damage was why would I invest $189 in the back of the phone when it was totally ruined by water so I feel that I was scammed by them if there was a zero I would give him a zero

Excellent knowledge. By far the best computer store in Grande Prairie. Staff is extremely helpful and very polite.

Took phone because it was dropping calls. They recommended a diagnostic, which still came back inconclusive. So they sent me to telus to replace a sim card. Telus then informed me they would have done the diagnostic for free. When I called back to let them know I was unhappy and should have been at least asked or made aware, nothing was done

Was having a few issues with my email, so I went in and asked if they knew how to figure it out. Within a short time, Sam, a technician there, called me and had everything figured out within a couple of minutes. Very personable interaction and impressed by the service provided. Highly recommend if your having any computer/tech issues!

Brought my playstation in to have a disk drive repair, dropped it off and received it again the same day. Great service!

It's the only shop in GP that we take our laptops and devices. They even recovered our hard drive.

I haven't had a lot of work done here but they seem to know what they're talking about.

I brought my son's Nintendo switch in to see if they could test and diagnostic, and in hopes they could find and fix the problem as it was past it's warranty date.
The technician said there was no damages everything looked good. He said it could be a bad battery or the type C-port charging connect, after only trying to charge the Nintendo switch for 15-minutes and trying to turn it on, then took it apart checked it over and found no damages, then he resealed it and but it back together is what he only did.
No testing the fuses, capacitors, chips or the board.

I told them my son didn't want then to continue on trying to fix it. As it would be cheaper to buy a new Nintendo then for them to fix it. (They wanted to charge me for the battery, install and shipping fees $160.00, on top of if it wasn't the battery they wanted for the Type c-port with install and shipping fees was $190.00) that's a bit excessive. As the battery is $30.00 after all fees on Amazon and the Type c-port connection is $18.00 for two.

I took apart the Nintendo switch myself as I have fixed previous consoles of my own.
I found that there was a couple screw/bolt's missing and one of the joycon ports ribbon was damaged. Which is irritating that they were trying to hide that.

Very unprofessional in my eyes and I will not be bringing my electronics back

P. S I had time to test the Nintendo switch myself, and I came to the conclusion that it was the M92T36 chip aka usb-c power charging control IC chip.

Got a few confused moments when asking questions. I said I wanted a simple PC just to run OBS which my ancient office PC is doing right now. Not a problem just wanted an update. Instead tried to get me into one of their more top of the line gaming PC, which is cool and all but I just wanted one that doesn't have a noise like a jet engine firing up, not a four thousand dollar streaming PC. Tried to explain my intentions for the PC and was assured it would do the job. The sales rep was informative so can't say anything bad. But I got limited space and don't want another mini fridge size PC in my gaming area.

We had Sam come set up our media system at our church. Outstanding service! He went above and beyond! Thank you so much! A+ service! Highly recommend!

Sam came to my house to check out my new PC (and to see why I could not get it up and running). Micro seconds later - he found my problem and fixed it.then saw to it that everything else was working properly. Very prompt and very professional - good knowledgeable service.

Best repair shop ever. Got my iPhone 6S Plus fixed here. My battery used to last less then 40 minutes. Now it lasts all day and the battery is max battery health. It’s insane.

I went to Alberta Computers thinking I needed to purchase a whole new desk top tower. After speaking to Sam, he suggested that all I possibly needed was a new hard drive. Within 24 hours I had my computer back and it is better than ever! He could've have easily sold me a whole new computer, but his honesty and character is the reason I am writing my first review ever! I would highly recommend Alberta Computers and Sam! Incredible customer service, which these days can be hard to come by at times! I will definitely be a returning customer for any technical needs in the future! Thanks again Sam!

My wife Gail & I have dealt with Alberta Computers recently. We will definitely be calling them in the future for any problems we have. Sam was very professional and a pleasure to deal with while he fixed our computer remotely. Thanks Sam

This is one very appreciative customer who bought a new laptop at Alberta Computers and benefited greatly from Austin's explanations and set ups and then Sam's research and persistence in solving a unique-but-not-beyond-him issue. Thank you!

Kept my laptop for 6 months unable to fix it, which was fine it was pretty messed up. Asked for Data recovery paid 200 for a portable hard drive. Brought it home and it said drive was not formatted properly and all of my files were corrupted and torn. Pretty disappointing overall.

Great service. I walked out with a solution to a problem solved by software. Extremely knowledgeable. Also they fixed my battery and screens for my cellphone during the winter. There was an issue with the replacement battery and they made it right. Upstanding company!

Stopped by to pick up some CPU paste. Fast and courteous service. Radio advertising really works.

They were friendly and helpful. For any computer repairs, I highly recommend them as the place to go to in town.

I went here for a hard drive recovery on my old laptop that had eaten a bunch of my files. They gave me accurate & reasonable estimates of prices, and the work was completed in a timely manner. They were accommodating of putting the recovered files onto my own external hard drive, rather than purchasing another unnecessary USB stick.
I would go back for future computer problems

I was getting ready to purchase a new computer and was doing some research on the one which would be the best choice. My last purchase was a total bomb (not the good kind of bomb but the kind of bomb that makes your head blow up kind of bomb). The young fellow, Sam, took lots of time asking what I would use the computer for and price range. I left the price range open, as I was willing to pay to not get stuck with another bomb. Sam was knowledgeable, very friendly, and did not try to up-sale me. This more than anything convinced me to take home my Lenovo that day. I have had my new laptop for 2 weeks now and Sam was spot on the money for what would suit me best. Thanks Sam

Just wanna ask guys, i just drop my laptop to their shop to fix my system but they couldn’t fix it they said there’s nothing they can do about it. But they still ask $60 bucks for not fixing my laptop? I wonder why? Anybody opinion here?

I went in, having an issue with my computer. Two of them were quickly ready and willing to help me, even though they were incredibly busy. They were both extremely nice, humorous, and helpful. It didn’t take them long to figure out my issue, and sent me on my way. I then encouraged my boyfriend to bring his cell phone there right after. They took his phone in immediately. I will continue to use this business for my tech issues. Thank you guys for willing and ready to help every time.

I brought my mac in to becleaned & replace my battery. After I recieved it back it was operating extremely slow & my mail quit working. I chalked the slowness to it being old. Did small troubleshoot with email & left it as again I chalked it up to age.

Today I sat down & went thru my computer. Luckily I’m a trained apple computer tech. Email issue was due to them setting a proxy on my network. Deleted that & promptly re-added my email, went thru all my setting & removed what they changed & added, went on browser & removed the extensions they added. My computer is working like a brand new machine.

I recimmend if you own a mac & use them, have someone who can check it out after. I’ll be helping my neice tonight get hers working as she has the same issue.

Sent my dad here after finding they were the MSI warranty repair shop recommended in town; he had a simple ribbon cable issue on the monitor of his laptop causing the screen to flicker or disconnect, easily discovered by hooking the laptop up to an external monitor to verify the hardware issue. After more than four months and hundreds of dollars, they managed to take a simple cable replacement issue and turn it into a fried CPU - apparently they managed to short it out. They have offered no replacement or rectification of the issue. Extremely embarrassed to have ever recommended them, so I am doing my due diligence to never do so again.

Edit: There is, of course, more detail to a many months long saga than noted in my initial review. And, it is true, the processor is now fried, as the laptop will no longer post, so that is indisputable. It's worth noting that this damage occured while the laptop was in Alberta Computers care, where before there was only a screen flicker.
Initially, Alberta Computers did advise the laptop monitor be changed wholesale, which my dad agreed to as he chose to trust the professionals. As the owner has rightly indicated, a ribbon cable is often damaged by the hinge on a laptop and is annoying to replace, which is why I advised a professional do so. The issue had already been diagnosed, but Alberta Computers advised the monitor change, which, of course, did not rectify the issue but did cost $200+. This led to the screen being totally blacked out and led to the follow up, which resulted in sending the laptop away. From there, it's anyone's guess how the laptop ended up critically impaired while under the care of professionals. I stand by my initial review.

Alberta Computers replaced my iPhone battery in 28mins! So easy and it obviously cost way less than a new phone. Really great people doing great work. Thanks!

I wish I could give more stars, the people here went above and beyond to help me with my desktop computer problems I was having. I would strongly reccomend this place for computer work to anyone who wants quality work done for their computer in Grande Prairie

I've been to Alberta Computers a few times over the years. I've bought a laptop, as well as a desk top computer. Both were very positive experiences. My last trip was to have my battery replaced in my iphone (like in the radio commercials). I dropped the phone off, and went to grab a quick lunch. It was ready the minute I got back to the store (less than an hour). Staff was very friendly and informative. Thanks Alberta Computers! Keep up the good work!

Sign says they fix any cell phone, any problem, I stopped by and needed my Mic wire inside the phone soldered and they said we don't do that repair, they should maybe change their sign/advertisement,

I would give less if it was possible. I took my computer to these guys three months ago to have a screen issue repaired. They replaced the screen at a cost of two hundred plus dollars. Within a day it was obvious that the issue was not taken care of. Took it back to find out that the wires connecting the screen to the computer was wearing. Apparently the old screen had been thrown out, so I could not get it back. Have waited two more months for them to try and find the patch cord to do the actual repair. I have been told that it does not exist in North America. So I am out money, and these guys want to do nothing for me. Would have been better off getting a twelve year old to look at it.
