Recently sold my bike on consignment. The process was fairly smooth with regard to selling the bike and getting it listed. Upon selling the bike, I was told that I would be paid via e-transfer, as this was most convenient for the owner. It took several weeks for me to be paid for my vehicle sale (after contacting the store on a daily basis). 3 separate payments had to be made due to the size of the sale (max $3000 etransfer per day). I did not know this when I sold the bike and was not offered another payment option. I felt that the staff sympathized with my situation but did not feel prioritized by the owner. I recommend ensuring clear expectations when purchasing or selling a vehicle with this retailer.

Was a great experience buying my Aprilia. Special thanks to Brett for looking over my order and getting it all together, aswell as answering all my questions even months after the bike was delivered. Great service and very friendly staff all around. I would highly recommend going through Alberta Cycle.

Showed up cash in hand to buy a classic 350 for my wife and we were completly ignored.not one person from RE even talked to us. So we went inside, same deal, they were all to busy looking at computer screens or talking on the phone.

Lesson learned. We won't be back.

My Harley got a flat on the Henday going through Edmonton and had to tow it somewhere to get a tire put on, phoned Alberta Cycle shop first as tire prices use to be best in town for Harley tires. Told they were booking for end of June….
Got in at Harley of Edmonton in an hour ….

I ordered 2 new quad tires and was quoted a price to put them on the rims, when they phoned and told me the tires were ready they doubled the price to install them on rims! When I questioned them they got very snarky with me and said that’s the price. Then when when I went to pick them up I asked if someone could help me to my car with them, the service guy brought me a cart and said here you go! Now normally I wouldn’t have minded making several trips to my car but I’m 59 years young and there were at least 6 men hanging out doing nothing! Will I go back? Probably not! Poor customer service.
18 April 2023 19:49
Just bought a machine from here on Saturday April 29th.the salesman, Kirk Duffee, was very unpleasant and unprofessional to deal with. Very rude and ignorant. Even after signing paperwork he apparently had no time to even shake my hand or offer help to load up. Luckily I brought my own ramps. I just hope I made him enough commission to get a haircut
28 March 2023 20:05
This place was awesome! I went to every other dealer in town and they all gave me ridiculous numbers, and unrealistic out the door times, I went in picked a bike I wanted and had it in my truck within the hour, I love my Royal Enfield Himalayan, fast staff, good loading procedures, But they didn't have any hats for me! Haha. All jokes aside, awesome place and I will. Be back for gear, parts, and anything I need. Best place in Edmonton by far!
16 February 2023 15:28
They not very honest on their price and I've had my brand new suzuki boulevard m109r boss in for the same antifreeze leak 4 time where it's wasn't fixed. I dont trust them and would never refer them to any. Riverside sports in St Ablert found the problem and had it fix in 2hrs and warranty the work at no cost even tho I bought it at ablerta cycle.
24 November 2022 4:56
Very Unprofessional I just had a tire put on my Harley Davidson street glide I was quoted 239 before the install upon picking up my bike the price went up 50$ got the tire
And the install price was over charged as well

Initially my Quote was 330 all in vrs 488 once the job was completed
I’d highly recommend dealing with a more reputable company.
11 November 2022 17:34
Super friendly no sales pressure and they let me in last minute as I got lost from the other side of town. Great experience and all willing to just talk shop with no pressure whatsoever
31 October 2022 19:55
Extremely disappointed with Alberta Cycles online system. I ordered tires for my kids scooter 4 days ago for a really good deal, the Alberta Cycles website showed 6 in stock. 4 days later I get an email saying they didn't have them in stock but will refund my money. Wow, thanks. I was trying to be patient when I didn't get shipping notification for 4 days. Guess you sold those 6 tires while I waited.

Update the website still shows 2 in stock a week later. I called in and there are none in stock.
19 October 2022 22:54
So I came home late Friday night after putting a few hundred km on the bike and found my rear tire needed to be changed. Called everywhere Saturday am and literally 2 to 3 weeks was what I was told to get it in and have the tire changed. Lyle told me they could get me in today on a first come basis and within 4 hours I had my new tire on without an issue, also got to hang out and have free coffee and watch the races on the 2 big tvs. Awesome service, will be back here again for sure. Thanks guys. And a special thanks to the guy that did the work, even fitted me w some red parts to match my bike, cheers!
12 October 2022 8:14
Service was excellent to deal with. Only fixed what actually needed to be fixed. Fit me in on a Saturday. Hooked me up with best price I could find anywhere else. Even the floor staff were out of their way to assist me and have a friendly chat. Nice to find a bike shop I feel confident in taking my c90 to.
02 October 2022 1:41
Horrible customer service. Ordered parts that were cancelled by them a week following. Then I was ghosted, no response from them after reaching out several times. Would not recommend if you actually want to get the parts you pay for!
30 September 2022 17:07
I had an awesome time while waiting for my rear tire being replaced, staff are knowledgeable of the products they sell. I went with the recommendation of the parts staff and I'm 100% satisfied with my purchase.
20 September 2022 6:38
Purchased a Tuareg 660 with the help of Deana, Austin and Ren. Truly a team effort and a very positive experience! They were all very helpful and flexible to facilitate the entire process. Highly recommend Alberta Cycle. They really care about the customer.
25 August 2022 2:14
Was stranded while traveling through Edmonton (needed new rear tire). They were extremely accommodating, bumped me ahead and got me on my way fast. Great service and prices. I highly recommend this shop.
23 August 2022 18:15
I HIGHLY recommend Alberta Cycle for everything Motorcycle related. I just bought my 2022 Aprilia RSV4 Factory from them. They are top class. The customer service is above and beyond. Deana, Ren, Dennis, and Richard are all fantastic people. To me, the dealer and their customer service is more important than any single motorcycle. Oh and the Aprilia? AMAZING. BEST bike I’ve ever owned. I’d write more but I need to go ride my motorcycle now…
20 August 2022 23:23
Brought in a loose wheel for a tire swap. Assumed I'd have to leave it with them for a day or two. But one of the techs came out and grabbed it right away and had it done within 20 minutes. Great price on the tire too - they will even price-match Fortnine and others. Super helpful staff, very friendly. I'll definitely be back next time I need tires.
05 August 2022 16:31
I purchased 2 new tires from them last week.

I brought in a loose tire with an innertube to be installed. I was quoted $40.00 to have this done.

When the I went to pick up the tire the total came to $73.92?

The yellow balance dot on the tire was not on the valve stem and I've now got these 2 insanely ugly wheel weights to "balance " the tire.

When asked the tech about the yellow dot on the tire, he said it was laser etched in and it doesn't matter.

The yellow dot indicates the lighter part of the tire and you put that over the valve stem.

If it didn't matter.why would you need 2 weights directly below the balance dot.see photo.

It's bizarre as I didn't have issues with rim and tire balance before I brought it here.

I'd definitely reccomended shoping and getting your tires elsewhere. Cheapest price on tire doest matter if you're paying way more than quoted for tire installation and a tech who isn't familiar with balancing.
04 August 2022 11:45
I am more then please every time I need a part from Alberta Cycle and was recently assisted by a young man named Bryson. His vast knowledge of Motorsports and dedication to assisting your every needs are fascinating and appreciated very much.
27 June 2022 18:44
I called in the morning asking if they could get me in for a tire swap. They were the only service department that was able to do so. Not only was the gentleman working the service counter polite and friendly. I would be bring my bike there for future repairs and service and day.
25 June 2022 13:51
Ren great guy in service, took my bike for a tire change 2 hours earlier than my appointment so I could get to my meeting on time very understanding. Definitely Be back there!
Thanks!
15 June 2022 11:45
Service is always good. They helped me select the right tire and had it in stock. Service was very efficient. Thanks guys! 10/10 eould recommend!
20 May 2022 11:18
Ren in the service department is great to deal with. I had a handful of different things done on my '16 Aprilia and the guy was a pro through the whole process.
15 May 2022 13:16
Bought my Aprilia RS660 from Alberta Cycle and I was incredibly happy with their service! Now I've gotten my service done and Ren from service was great to work with!
14 May 2022 8:49
Great stock lots of Bike models. Walked in to check out some Yamaha mt-07s and mt-10s had lots of questions to ask no sales associate to talk to. Left after 45 min waiting
24 March 2022 1:31
I was having troubles getting a hold of their sales staff because I was referring to emails only. But considering it is winter and they likely are currently with winter staffing and been navigating all the COVID regulations this is likely the cause. I posted in social media what other riders suggested I do and their service manager actually messaged me on social media and answered all my questions on a weekend. He let me know what was going on and to whom I should reach out to. First off considering he did this on his days off is completely unexpected but shows that he wants to make customers happy and return to their dealership. Don't ever expect them to do this again but was really appreciated. I honestly was just going to phone them anyways but he went further. Never expected someone from the dealership to see my post, let alone reply to it.
31 January 2022 4:34
Pre-ordered my new bike for spring here a few weeks ago. After 'trying' to deal with one of the other big dealers in the city (I won't name names) and getting zero callbacks - you'd think they'd want to sell something - I tried Alberta Cycle. They called back right away, confirmed they had my requested unit allotted, and took a deposit all very painlessly and politely. Richard was fantastic!

I've been back there for some gear (picked up a helmet today) and have spoke to a couple other staff. All very helpful and accommodating. Pretty sure with my experience here so far, they will be seeing much more of me (I have quite a bit more gear to get, lol).
07 January 2022 16:14
I always have a hard time trying to speak with anybody in their parts department. What a terrible way to conduct business.
04 October 2021 16:07
I went there to fill up some air in my tires. These guys lubed and adjusted my chain, washed my bike and gave me tips on how to maintain my bike. Kind and generous.
30 September 2021 8:04
I was expecting a large selection of motorbikes. If you're looking for Moto Guzzi, this is definitely your place!
15 September 2021 10:41
I came back to update my review, which was stellar before, but I have new experiences to add to now. I obtained a rare bike that needed a location to uncrate. Remembering that ACM has been so good to me in the past (infinite times), I decided to call them to see if they would do this for me. I was more than willing to pay their team whatever they needed to cover things. I arrived and it my bike ended up not being PDI'd by the dealer I shipped it from but ACM gave it the whole 9 yards to ensure that my bike was actually good to go. ACM gave it their seal of approval. While I waited, I socialized with the staff, customer service, sales, service techs, everyone here is an amazing family. When I lived on the northside, I'd come visit ACM for fun regularly. But I've moved across the city and still ACM is still my go-to place despite the distance. All the best to the team at ACM for always coming through for me.
07 September 2021 1:20
I'll keep it brief. I cracked a plastic panel on my Yamaha and couldn't figure out how to get the replacement panel installed. After hitting my frustration point, I rode down to Alberta Cycle with the replacement panel assuming I'd need to make an appointment to get it installed. The guy at the service desk came outside and was able to install it for me, no charge, which I really appreciated.
06 September 2021 8:07
Got a “Minor Service” on my old yz250f and the quoted couple hundred bucks plus parts. I pick up today and I get charged $635 dollars labour to install $175 worth of gaskets/filters etc. Worst $900 I’ve ever spent. Didnt have time to argue with guy who knew nothing about my bike or what was done. Cut my losses. Cut yours earlier by not going here.
Go to Coopers Motorsports.
11 August 2021 6:04
Had a great experience with rob and the rest of the staff! Rob spent a lot of time with me to make sure i was pinpointing the right bike for my riding style, i really appreciate all of his genuine enthusiasm for the bikes!
04 August 2021 22:32
I'd give it 0 stars if I could. Some of the worst customer service I've ever received. Went to look at the Aprilia RS660, which unfortunately Argyll Motor Sports doesn't carry so I had to go across the city to this dump. Every bike in Alberta Cycle has a sign that says to ask an employee if you want to sit on one. So I go and ask one of the salesmen if I can sit on the bike I wanted to look at and he told me "Its the end of the day and I just finished buffing all of these bikes, so if you're not going to buy one today than you cant sit on it" It was 4pm on a Thursday, they close at 7pm.and to make things worse the bikes in the showroom were VISIBLY DIRTY. There was a Suzuki right next to this guys desk that had literal cob webs on the forks. The cherry on top is the fact that the salesman was walking all around the showroom without a mask on. 0/5 would not recommend anyone go there.
03 August 2021 20:00
Customer Service was good, they didn't have nothing for motorcycle parts, I just don't see how it's any different then ordering the part online yourself, save a trip and some cash
30 July 2021 8:29
I would like to preface by saying I am not a current customer so I can't speak to their in person dealings. But I tried calling off 2 different phones over the course of an hour. No answer from any department. I can see from other reviews this is a common issue. If they can't even bother to answer their phones I won't be giving them my business
29 July 2021 1:15
Everytime i go there to get parts, they don't have them.
And its a week to ten days to get them.
28 July 2021 17:30
Bought my first motorcycle here. Deana, Rob were great. Communication was an issue, otherwise great.
19 July 2021 18:43
Rob in sales is a pretty down to earth no bs guy, and he had me out the door on the bike I wanted basically next day. Super cool dude, and pretty nice place all around, other staff seem helpful too. I'll be back for sure.
18 July 2021 19:21
I bought my suzuki boulevard here. I got first rate superb service. It is worth stopping in and seeing the products they offer at Alberta Cycle.
16 July 2021 16:20
I think most would agree that the motorcycle/shopping experience should be a fun one.after all isn't that why we ride? With that being said I couldn't of had a worse time. I went in to look at Aprilia bikes. There's a sign on every bike saying "please ask a sales associate before sitting on". I waited around for about 5 minutes before I was able to located a sales associate. After I approached him, I politely asked if I could sit on the bike I was interested in. His first question was what type of bike I rode as if to see if I was "qualified" to sit on the bike. After telling him he proceeded to tell me that I couldn't sit on the bike unless I wanted to "sit down and talk numbers first" after telling him I was interested but probably wouldn't be buying the bike today, he told me that it was near the end of the day and he just finished "buffing" all the bikes (most of the bikes on the floor were covered in dust and some even had cobwebs on them) this was at 4pm on a Thursday when they close at 7pm. After our conversation I asked if I could speak to the manager, he pointed out that the manger was standing beside him as we had our conversation. Clearly they are okay with this type of behavior and don't actually want to sell bikes. I would HIGHLY suggest taking business else where! I wont be going back even in a pinch.
13 July 2021 20:04
I have bought a couple of bikes from here as well as various accessories and service items. I have interacted with sales and parts staff there, and everybody has been willing to help me find what I'm looking for or to find someone who can help me find what I'm looking for.
05 July 2021 18:37
Went in to look at bikes 12 May 2021 and 2 days later was on the road. Spoke with Deana and Rob and found the bike for me. Will go back to both sales reps in the future. Very attentive to my needs and assisted with everything throughout the process. The bike seat was damaged from shipping and i never had to bring up as they are replacing free. Very friendly, approachable, and walked me through the features of the bike with me before i left with it. Had issues with service on the bike and they both made sure i was taken care of. Would highly recommend both sales persons!
30 June 2021 19:33
Bought our sons 50cc scooter in March from here (Great experience) and had them look at it after a minor bump just recently.
They accommodated us coming from out of town and treated us so well!
Ren was super helpful to us.
We will keep doing the longer drive just to come here when we need something.
Would definelty recommend.
01 November 2020 9:55
Not much gear except for a good helmet selection. They had 3 pairs of boots and say they get people to custom order boots in. What? I drove across town trying to find a half decent motorsports shop to grab gear and still haven't found anything. Guess I'll try Calgary? Lol
18 October 2020 15:58
I would like to extend my thanks to Denna M. And the rest of the Alberta Cycle team. Your professional and friendly service, made my recent purchase easy and enjoyable. I would encourage anyone looking to buy a new bike or accessories, to check these guys out. I will definitely be visiting you again soon. Thanks once more
16 October 2020 13:30
They seemed great, until they had my money, then it took 10 weeks to order the stuff I paid for. By then, the helmets i wanted were out of stock at the supplier.
14 October 2020 17:47
Alberta cycle has had good tire pricing for sport bikes but for Yamaha parts their parts guy does not wanna look for parts, always 5 weeks out: Central sled found me aftermarket & kept me on the track. Wish Alb Cycle parts guy would put a little more effort into finding Yamaha parts like central sled guy Dwayne. If you looking for service relating to parts called central sled.
08 October 2020 12:50
I took my bike for service because my throttle had a lot of free play. They said they fixed it and charged me $120 but the free play was still there. They also left the bike outside in the rain. Worst service of my life.
04 October 2020 19:06
Parts guy I spoke with was very helpful and knowledgeable (didn't catch his name but he was Aussie I think with some tatoos). Tried to find me less expensive aftermarket parts where available, never upsold me. Will be back for all my Yamaha ATV needs.
04 October 2020 14:29
Unfortunately another negative experience with Alberta Cycle Motorsports. Terrible communication, and delayed maintenance without notice.
Any time I tried to call to check in on my parts/bike, it was extremely difficult to contact them. I tried every single department in turns when I called in the hopes of catching someone, sometimes 10 calls in a row.
When my parts arrived they did not call me for 4 days. I know this because I called in a day after they estimated their arrival, and booked an appointment for maintenance. Someone in another department still called me three days later to tell me my parts had arrived.
I dropped the bike off as requested - the day before the scheduled maintenance so they could start right at 9 am. I did not receive a call back that day. I called the morning after and was told they were finishing up. Three hours later I called AGAIN to ask what was up, and they said the (only 3 year old) battery didn't have any charge and that the bike wouldn't start. I told them to just replace the damn thing, and paid for it with the labour costs.
When I went to pick up the bike, the kickstand was reinstalled improperly. I don't know what part of my maintenance required the bloody kickstand to be removed and reinstalled, but it wouldn't stay down anymore. A shop guy 'fixed' it before I left, and when I got home, the problem returned. Now I can't get anyone to answer their phones.
02 October 2020 6:55
I don't even know where to start. The customer service at this place is abysmal. I booked my bike in for the 10K service. I was told it would take a few hours. 3 days later they still had my bike. I called maybe 20 times to get an update as my bike is my only mode of transport. I finally took a taxi there to pick up my bike. Turns out they didn't do any of the service because they "didn't have the parts". They still charged me $300 for an oil change. I then ordered the parts needed for the work. They required me to pay upfront which silly me did. It's now been a month with no word from them and no answer to phonecalls or return calls from voicemails left. So now I have to drive in to see if the parts I paid for have arrived yet or not. I'm completely dismayed by the lack of customer service at this place.
05 June 2020 0:48
Left a few messages for the sales staff to call me regarding purchasing a new bike and they never called me back. Don’t waste your time here. I bought my new bike and all my gear, elsewhere.
31 March 2020 12:11
I have been going to echo cycle for thirty five years and loved it. Haveing the owners help you was the best and they were great but since Dave has changed to consignments I needed to find a new bike dealer.
A close friend represents Aprilia Motorcycles and told me too meet him at Alberta Cycle Motorsports. I've been but not bike shopping and always thought everyone was great. This time though it was to buy a Aprilia RSV4 Factory so I was nervous. They are not cheap. But I was introduced to Richard the owner of the store and within a minute of meeting him and talking I was so relaxed and laughing and talking about bikes like I've known him for years now. Richard takes the time just like echo did and really gets to no what you like, can afford, and what you truly want. And if he has it or if he doesnt he will show you what he does or get you what you want. He had my bike on the floor so I took it and he ribboned it and made me feel that this will be the best purchase and he will guide you threw it all the way till you walk it out the door. And then he wants you to come back and just have a coffee and just catch up. That is a place you can feel at home and feel great about what you bought. I have gone back twice since then and he makes time for you and does not push you of to a salesperson. I am extremely glad to have met him and shopped at Alberta Cycle Motorsports and will continue my families relationship with the stores and owners. I dont recommend places like this at all very often but if you were like me and apart of the Echo Cycle Family and are looking for a new bike again and want the same treatment as I got and sure you did too then please take a twenty minute break at Alberta Cycle and stop by for a coffee and a visit with there salesteam as they are all really nice and very knowledgeable, or Richard himself as he is always on the floor even though they are going through major renovations to serve us better he will still always be available and right there to help. As I have learned he even gave up his nice big office to have it torn down for a coffee bar for his customers to enjoy themselves. And has moved himself right out to the middle of the store so he can always be able and ready to help.
I truly hope this helps you decide to stop there as like I sdmade and if you look at my reviews I dont do places like these but will always recommend Alberta Cycle to be your next place of business for motorsports equipment, gear and parts. Hope this finds you all well.
30 March 2020 6:40
Friendly staff and worth place to visit when you plan to shop motorcycle. Much more better when the construction done.
11 December 2019 7:38
I visited Alberta Cycle in the summer after my bikes tire valve stem decided it wanted to break on me. After limping it home and removing my wheel I managed to make it down to the shop. I made it in right at closing time (I'm sorry!) on a Saturday (very sorry!). I knew my chances of having my tire repaired were slim, but my wheel was taken in and returned to me fixed in about 15 minutes! Which let me enjoy the rest of the weekend on my bike. One of the only nice weekends we had this summer. A massive thank you to Devon and the gentleman at the front service counter for helping me out on such short notice and with great customer service to boot! Five BIG stars!
17 October 2019 5:42
I was impressed with the service at the parts counter. I do think they could be more competitive on some of their parts pricing.
12 October 2019 12:18
I was a little disappointed in the sales department. I was in the store for almost 30 mins. I saw several employees walking around but no one even asked if I needed help or even offer me assistance as soon as someone was free
29 September 2019 4:17
On a Saturday morning intending to go on a dirt bike ride shortly I had a flat tire and I kept popping the tube so I took it in to Barry in the service department and he had it changed in a jiffy awesome guy fast service to thumbs up on a Saturday morning
25 September 2019 21:39
Great selection and very knowledgeable staff. My kids love visiting too, just to look around & play some foosball or dome hockey while we’re there!
14 September 2019 22:29
Stopped here to get a couple things on my guzzi v7 checked out on a cross-country trip. The service department was great, worked around my schedule and answered my questions about a few technical issues. They know their bikes and especially the parts and service departments are welcoming and friendly. Beautiful showroom too and fair prices.
30 August 2019 4:38
I had wiring issues on my 90's metric cruiser and the guys over at Alberta Cycle took the bike in without question and found the issue / had it fixed in a matter of 3 working days.

Most shops wouldn't even entertain working on an older metric bike (1997 Virago 750) so I was very happy to find a shop that will.

Nothing but great service from everyone at the shop.
08 August 2019 15:28
I had these tires installed at Alberta cycle, due to their convenient location for me and their price. The service was quick with no appointment necessary, but I was a little bit surprised to find out that there was an extra charge $7 to fill the two tires with nitrogen. This extra charge was not included in the quote. Nonetheless, a job well done and quick service.
07 August 2019 1:17
A fine selection of Moto Guzzi bikes, and some other brands. Friendly staff. I will update my review after my Griso service.
02 August 2019 14:14
Called on Monday looking for 2 orings for a yamaha carb. Partsman said he would look them up and call back.no call so I call back and explain again to a different fellow, he finds the parts and quotes them. I go in to pick them up and explain again as to what I want, gets an attitude with me and things digress. Did get my $13.00 0 rings and refresher why I stopped going to Alberta Cycle for parts.
04 July 2019 19:23
I purchased tires from them at their half-price sale, and had them installed on my loose rims. I got the rims back washed and with no scratches on them and they had them done in a couple of hours. All of this for 70 bucks less on the install and 200 bucks less on the tires than the competing St. Albert dealership. Who needs online shopping when you have service and pricing like this! Thanks guys.
