Took my Mazda3 here a few months ago and it took two days for a simple repair. After the manager told me my transmission was about to go but it’s completely fine. Don’t trust these guys anymore.

Amazing services.
We showed up without an appointment and they could look at the car in their morning for diagnostic. By noon we had an idea of the problem, parts ordered and appointment taken for the following week for the repair.
Great team.

Good service, but 40 dollar labour charge to replace an air filter that was already out to inspect during a complementary inspection is outrageous.

Excellent service. They checked out a "problem" noted by another garage. Upon inspection, they were able to let me know my vehicle did not have this problem. I appreciate the honesty from a woman who knows nothing about cars.

Awesome staff quite helpful! Was having brake light issues thankfully it was only a glitch in my system! Bought some brake fluid to be safe!

Since moving to Red Deer a few years ago these guys have always been my go to for care for my 2009 Audi A3 VR6. Better service than the Audi dealership in Calgary I used to use, and they were good. Hanging out while I wait for last minute touches to my car before it's ready I overhear how the staff and management are passionate about cars as they discuss the wide variety of makes and models they are servicing. Everytime I am there I see multiple cars in their lot that are classics, and they can fix each one.

On my first visit years ago they identified a few repairs needed that the Audi dealership never noticed 6 months prior during maintenance. They are thorough, and inspect everything, to make sure your car is perfect.

Highly recommended. Just had my suspension replaced today, as the OEM suspension was on its last legs, and the car drives better than stock now.

Really good and experienced technician worked on my late model BMW. He was quite knowledgeable and did great work.

We had to have some work done on our mini. Doug was great with his knowledge. They fixed everything and now she’s running top notch. After purchasing the mini on kijiji it was nice that these guys were honest and knew what they were doing. Would highly recommend these guys.

Doug and the whole crew finished the work very quickly once the dealer I bought my GLA250 4matic appproved the warranty repairs. I couldn’t be happier with the service at Alberta European Motorworks. In my opinion the best shop in central Alberta if not all of Alberta to bring your Mercedes to get serviced. This is my first time using their shop and I’m blown away by the honesty and straight forward approach to customers. I will definitely be back for regular service. Great job everyone!

Very efficient and reliable. Unlike most places, AEM delivers on time. Doug is awesome as he is knowledgeable, goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable.

I stopped in as I needed a coolant top up, my check coolant light came on. They were able to come out right away and top it up. I was in and out in less than five minutes. Very friendly.

It’s nice to have a local Service where I can get prompt and reliable service at a fair price for my older model BMW. These people are great!

I brought my BMW to them with some rough running and no starting issues as well as a couple more issues. This was my first time using these guys and I must say I was pleasantly surprised at how good they were and reasonable on the cost. My problem was a bit tough to reconstruct but even with that they were really good explaining everything and cost was very reasonable. I will be using them again without a doubt and would recommend them to anyone needing work on their BMW. Thanks guys as it’s very Rare these days to get good service but you have raised the bar on automotive service in my opinion. Doug even checked in to make sure everything was to my satisfaction which was a nice touch.

We used Alberta European motor works to flush our transmission in an Audi Q7 and put new transmission fluid. We found they over charged for services we didn’t agree to and we still had issues with it. Took it to another shop and they said that not enough transmission fluid was added from the initial flush/fluid replacement. We will not be taking our car back here.

Took in my Mercedes for a quick engine service. They were very quick and efficient. Doug was very clever and nice to talk to.

Had a minor problem that i could not figure out, they solved it 5 minutes and let me go with out ringing.great business.will be coming back as a paid customer

Can’t say enough good things about my recent experience with Alberta European Motors. Short notice request for service accommodated with exceptional consideration resulting in a relaxing trip through the mountains.

On our trip from BC to Toronto our Audi Q3 started to misfire, and two other garages told us that it was probably due to bad gasoline and to add octane booster, but Alberta European Motorworks’ mechanic found that it was due to a disconnected breather, and was able to fix it quickly and save us a lot of trouble.

When you discover a company that has a 100% batting average in the three main areas of service: trustworthy, courteous, and dependable, I feel they deserve a five star compliment. I personally recommend this business, having experienced the utmost assistance in many adverse situations, whether its a phone call for advice or having a car towed in and repaired, the help is the same, they find the time for you because they care. They warranty their work, and the job gets done right. Thank you, all the staff and management, you take the worry away.

A first time customer, I was pleasantly surprised by the great service I got from Doug, Jerry and the mechanics at Alberta European Motorworks. My 2001 BMW X5 was overdue for service. They did the diagnostics, along with photos and I needed new arm brushes and shock absorbers. They realigned my wheels and now I have a smooth ride again.

I'd like to share my experience with everyone reading this, so you can make your own, informed decision on whether this is the right place for you.

My BMW wouldn't start on a cold winter morning. This problem had happened the year before. I had the vehicle towed to a friends garage to warm up, still wouldn't start. I then had it towed to AB EU Motorworks to get checked out (the tow truck driver that towed to my friends garage refused to tow it down to AB EU Motorworks, I had to call another company). Either way, trying to start the vehicle caused me to flood the engine according to them. Their diagnoses was - new battery, change spark plugs, do an oil change (as gasoline leaked past the cylinders and contaminated the oil). Sounds good - let's get it done.

I went to pick my vehicle up - $1,800

Ouch -
260 diagnostics charge
600 for battery andinstallation.
500 for spark plugs and installation
80 dollars flush for oil
200 for oil change
100 for air filter

I got the vehicle back home after cringing at the bill, and reluctantly paying it. The next morning my vehicle wouldn't start. Same problem as what caused the engine to flood. Their response - when it starts bring it back down here.

These guys are good mechanics - don't get me wrong. But they will absolutely hose you on the price.

I'll be looking elsewhere for my automotive services.

I booked the vehicle in to get control arm bushings installed. Booked a couple weeks in advanced however the parts did not arrive until mid day of the schedule repair time. Not sure what happened there but I received the vehicle back prior to end of day so all is good.
Polite and professional attitude from all involved.

Jerry and Doug always get me in promptly and even provide a loaner if needed. Very friendly and professional shop!

First time customer, I went in for a overdue service. Very friendly, knowledgeable staff. Took care of the issues in a very timely fashion. Very efficient and prompt service with follow up a few days later.

Friendly and attentive service. These guys know their stuff. Trust them with my BMW and my VW bus!

Had them fill the transmission fluid in my car and they did a good job on that. BUT they tried to tell me a bunch of stuff also needed work. Such as needing a new timing belt (was slipping/worn according to them), new spark plugs. For context I just finished a engine swap in my car. It’s no where near perfect and needs a fair bit more work but I know for a fact I doesn’t need a new timing belt or spark plugs cause I replaced those myself when I put the motor in. I get shops like this make their money on repairs but if their not honest about it it’s just shady business

If you know your way around your own car I’m sure they are a decent shop but if you not mechanically inclined I’d definitely get a 2nd or maybe 3rd opinion on the work they recommended

The guys at AEMW have seen my Mercedes a few times in the last year and always do a fantastic job. As a person who knows nothing about cars I always feel like I can trust this shop. This morning during an extreme cold snap my car had trouble starting so they lent me a car for a few extra days. Such wonderful service, reasonable pricing and a company I can trust! Highly recommend.

Got an out of province inspection compete. Guys were super accommodating on my schedule as I had to move appointment like 3 times on them. Work started and was competed on time.

AEMW is hands down the best shop in town. I am never taking my car to the dealership ever again. Highly knowledgeable and professional staff with prices that cant really be beat. I highly recommend this shop to anyone with a european vehicle who is tired of outrageous dealership prices

Doug is very professional and helpful. My mercedes headlight’s were broken and he got me booked in right away and gave a lender vehicle and took care of the problem right away. Great place and $ cost was reasonable. Highly recommend this place.

Amazing business. They not only fixed my issues with the sensors and motor, they also cleaned the interior of my car and GAVE ME A LOANER FOR A FULL DAY! Had to drive up to Edmonton the same day for a business meeting and they gave me a car to drive up there.

It is nice to be able to feel confident when picking up your car that it has been fixed competently.

We brought our BMW X5 in to diagnose a fluid leak and other issues. The report that the technicians prepared with the diagnosis included photos and descriptions of all the issues the vehicle had. I've never seen such a detailed report before. That was fantastic.

Great people that treat their customers right. Excellent service work as well. Highly recommend taking your prized vehicles there for maintenance.

Just had my car in the shop for a free oil change! Jerry, Anita and Mike are going above and beyond to support the community during these difficult times, offering free oil changes to new and existing customers who work in healthcare. Great to see them taking this initiative, with the support of a couple of their suppliers. Proud to say I have been their customer for coming up on 12 years now and glad to have such a great shop in the neighbourhood.

I'm sure AEMW does quality work if they listened. I had never taken my vehicle there before. Rumours had it that they did great work. Knowing their the most expensive in town, I should get what I pay for.

Kept short, I had to pull my ride from their shop. They performed work I never asked them to do. Their diagnosis was driving my car around. I wont get into it. Unfortunately, I had to pay $600 for a headlight harness and fumigation.

But on the bright side, I gave $4300 to a business that diagnosed all the problems without turning the car on.

I have been using Alberta European Motor Works for a couple years servicing my Volvo. Work is always on time and on budget from there quote. Use to take my Volvo to the dealer to get the same service for 3 times the cost.

Was having a hard time sourcing a part for my Mini Cooper. Jerry was able to find it and got it to me within a couple days. Very satisfied.

With poor European mechanic shop choices in Red Deer, Alberta European Motorworks really outdoes it. The guys there are honest and hard working. Will be back soon and whenever I can't figure something out. Thank you guys!

Brought my Mercedes sprinter in for an oil change and service. First time dealing with AEM. Professional, Courteous and a fair price.

I recently took my VW Golf in for a maintenance level 2 and was really impressed with the level of service from first dropping off keys to getting them back and the price was 1/3rd of what the dealer quoted, sent a detailed report of the inspection and what was done/ needed to be right to my phone, including pictures, and they even washed it after! I will be back! Even if it's just to discuss some F1 with Doug ;)
