Terrible place. They don’t know how to prioritize patients, pregnant women, etc. Imagine a pregnant woman had an appointment and people are in the line waiting for their time. However, someone walks in and they take him regardless of your appointment booked in advance. Your wait time in this place is 70-80 minutes even you appear on time for your booked appointment. Totally disappointed

Staff are more polite and professional than where I used to go.
I went in around 11: 20sh and I only waited for an hour.
The Filipino guy who extracted blood was very nice. Very light hands!
I will definitely come back here on my next routine text.
The place is clean, quiet and organized.

Plan for about an hour of your time, even with an appointment. Staff are nice and work hard, but not enough of them obviously since always behind. And they take walk ins back before appointments even when they are behind which doesn’t seem right.

Have to book three months in advance, only to wait almost an hour in an overcrowded waiting room with a giant TV screen that tells you how long ago you came in and how many people are ahead of you. Then you get to sit in the back for another 15 minutes as the technician reads your requisition, checks your ID, photocopies your standing order, and prints labels. Shouldn't that have been done already? Someone please get rid of DynaLife and bring back public health care.

Update: DynaLife fixed the problem by turning off the TV. Now you have no idea how long you will be waiting for your appointment.

It took 3 hours to get a standard blood draw. Honestly, I feel terrible for the employees working there. They’re doing what they can, but there are simply too many patients and not enough staff.

This is ridiculous. A simple recurring A1C blood test for diabetes. Took 3 weeks to get an appointment. Walk in at 1: 30for a 1: 40 appointment. Told there would be a 40minute delay, and the next person right behind me was told a 1 hour delay. I am now missing work time. This is completely unacceptable. This company has cost me hours of wasted time and money. When will this end?

It’s unbelievable to me that a system that used to work is now so broken. Can’t book an appointment unless it’s weeks away, if you do book an appointment you’re now waiting for 30-60 minutes after your appointment time to be seen, and walk-ins take (at minimum) over an hour. At every location!

I walked in. Arrived at 6.45
There were about 15 people already in. I submitted my docs and was asked to take a seat. After about 30 mins, i was called and then the blood was taken. Then the cardio and that's it. Was dobe 7.40.
Everything was good.

Something is wrong with the process at this place. I was forced to do a walkin because I could not wait so long for an appointment. I sat in the waiting room for 1 hour and only saw a single person check in for an appointment. All the checkins were people walking in. Do they only offer one appointment per hour? !? ! No wonder it takes 6 weeks to get an appointment! Very low standard of patient care.

I arrived at 7: 15 and was told it would be a 50 min wait, so I figured I’d be seen at about 8: 05. I was number 27 on the wait list. So that means the’d be seeing 30 patients per hour, seems reasonable. But, at 8: 00, I was 12 on the list, meaning they only see approx. 15 patients per hour! At 8: 00, there was also a person still waiting for their 7: 00 appointment. So, I left.

It is so crazy. We have to wait for very long time. They said only need wait for one hour, however, it is four hours. Maby you can tell me the truth so I can do something in the morning. When I received message, I still need wait for one hour. Please update the system. So stupid. I prefer to paid to have the test. I can do many things in these uncertain waiting time.

Like most people I work for a living so I decided to book ahead rather than wait around for hours with a walk in appointment as I just don’t have that kind of time to waste.
My appointment was 2: 40 and still I had to wait 55 minutes to be seen. Sure the clinic was busy but that’s no excuse to mismanage patient care like this, with no regard for our time.
Luckily the nurse I saw was very lovely and apologetic - but she shouldn’t be put in this position to apologize if the management got their act together and scheduled appropriately.
Do better Dynalife.

Starting from reception we had a excellent dealing of all staff members, appointments are dealt very strictly as per timing, no wastage of time, if you have prior appointment, medical staff very cordial behaviour, very neat and tidy lab, over all I will recommend to visit this lab to everyone

Went to the Market Mall location for the first time. This location is small and seemed short staffed. Spent almost 1 1/2 hr in the waiting room for my turn. I generally go to Beddington location and it takes me less than 30 mins.

Had a terrible blood draw experience here. I told the woman I’m a difficult stick and she could use either arm, whichever she felt more confident in after checking for veins.

She proceeded to say “I’ll use this one because it’s closer” and never checked my other arm for a potentially better site. Didn’t bother to try a butterfly needle which would’ve made it better even tho I informed her my veins are hard to find.

She stuck me, and missed. And instead of retrying, she then proceeded to wiggle the needle around on my arm to find it. Plunging it deeper, pulling it back, moving it left and right. It was painful and the worst blood draw I’ve ever had in Calgary. She had no compassion when I was starting to get uncomfortable with her moving the needle around. She dismissed me without even allowing time for me to press on the site to prevent bruising.

Update: returned to this location to drop off a sample. They had 6 employees at the desks and were still incredibly unbelievable slow at processing the line up. Incompetent!

I will not be back.

Very poorly behaved receptionist. Displayed my drivers license, requisition, and pic of my Alberta health card (I don’t carry all cards on me anymore). All information match’s across requisition, my license and my Alberta health card. Even with all things confirming my identity marks me as “unverified”. Refuses to even look at the digital version of Alberta Health.

I've had to edit my review from 5 stars to just 1. The sharps container in the booth I was waiting in (20 minute wait) was overflowing with dirty needles with the lid wide open at the top. Any child could have grabbed a bloody tube or syringe. Huge failure on the staff's part.

I arrived early to my appointment and was greater with utter rudeness by the gentleman in the front-end. It was almost like he did not like worki ng at this place as he had no care in the world about my presence. Even though I was early, I was attended to very late and I landed up getting very late for my next appointment. I am not sure why some companies like this are in business if they can help and be nice to the patients they are supposed to comfort and lookafter. This is such a shame.

There are other labs, if you can go with a different location. I was yelled at when entering the location as it seems you are supposed to wait outside yet there is no sign or info stating this, the lady doing the yelling was the person who should have been at the door attending yet felt the need to be rude due to her not doing her job! Once in the communication is poor, very poor. I was left in a room when done, still had one last test to do before leaving and was again barked at when I asked for direction. This location definetly needs to improve on the customer service.

Both the person at the door and behind the counter were immediately short tempered with me. I followed all covid rules, was just there to drop off a sample and gave them no reason to be rude. The person at the door also loudly stated what the sample was for, which felt like quite a violation of my medical privacy. Then the person behind the counter got visibly upset that I didn't give the sample to the person at the door, even after I explained that I was instructed to bring it with me into the line up. Would not return here for any lab services.

I have legal mask exemption, where in this current social climate, often means that I'm treated with disdain or like an alien.
Aman greeted me and I presented my exemption certificate to him (I'd called ahead to make sure they knew I was coming and let them know my situation so no one would be caught off guard). He was so kind to me. We had a wonderful chat while I waited for a room to be cleaned. He brought humor and a beautiful, calm, gentle way to my experience. Michelle took my blood and she was lovely. Kind and gentle. This was the best experience I've ever had getting blood taken. These two deserve a raise. They both brought the true Christmas spirit to their work today. Thank you.

This location is always extremely busy. I frequently am left waiting for 30 to 40 min or more after the appointment time. One time I brought my baby and they left us waiting an hour because none of the technicians wanted to do a blood draw from a baby. One technician came in then walked out again. Finally one technician at the desk took pity on us even though he had a disability that made accessing the room we were in physically difficult for him. To make a baby wait like that is really poor management.

They used to be very slow and unorganized, but for some reason recently they are doing much better specially with the walk-in appointments. They also have renovated the place so they have much better space.

The Canadian lady taking my blood was very nice and professional.
The Nigerian lady was very rude, when I asked her a simple polite question, as I had been waiting for 40 minutes with an appointment. I asked “How much longer would the wait be, I’ve been waiting 40 minutes” She replied “it’s ok” and walked off ignoring me. She needs to learn basic manners and professionalism.

If I could give a review below 1 star I would. Completely rude, not helpful, they hung up on me when I called. Christine who answered the call wouldn't even answer any questions, just hung up.

This is one of the worst places we have ever dealt with (and we already had services in many labs around the city).

Some of the staff are extremelly rude. No matter what time of the day. No matter how polite and calm you are. No matter how understanding you are.

The waiting times are way above 30min, even if you have an appointment.
So you better set up your mind to spend quite a bit of your day there and do not schedule anything after. You never know what time you are leaving. The only certainty is that you are not done in 30min.

They have absolutely no experience with kids. If you have a little one, please, for all the good in this world, save your kiddo from the trauma to have exams there. Not even the washrooms are kid (or family) friendly.

Some staff really lack knowledge and they will mess up your exam, even after checking in with other coleagues who are supposed to have the right info.

Not all professionals will fit into this description, but lately, it seems like a LOT of them are accurate to these statments. I hope it does get better, otherwise, this location could be shut down.

My experience here, over many years, has been uniformly positive, even during this pandemic. Here’s a few things that work for me:
1) Book your appointment online, DO NOT be a walk in, especially now.
2) Many people book, then cancel a day or two, or a few hours before. I ALWAYS take 10/20 minutes online to see if cancellations pop up. They almost always do. Most recently, I got a 4: 20 appt.at 2: 30 that same day.
3) DO NOT be late.
4) Have all the docs you need.
5) Be respectful to these front line workers

I was waiting for attention, it was 5 minutes late (I took transit to go from downtown to this place) and the person who was getting the requisitions just told me that they were not gonna help me anymore because it was too late.
I had to do an electrocardiogram and some blood tests that are really necessary for me but I guess that it is not a matter of consideration.
Very unhelpful personal and very unpleasant experience.

Had an appointment, all seemed smooth - was waiting in a lab cubicle within 10 minutes. Was still sitting in that cubicle an hour later after watching every other room turnover 4 or 5 times with folks that arrived after me, not so much as any eye contact from any of the staff. Maybe my requisition form was more complicated than most I thought - nope. 2 vials of blood - took 5 minutes. Absolute joke.

Update - Since Covid times this lab's processes have gotten better. Granted they are always running behind but it's not the employees fault. They open and have staff start at 630am but you can also book appointments for 630am. They are set up to fail from the get go. They should start appointments at 645am to give staff time to start work, set up stations and sign people in. The employees are nice and do their best with what they are given. I have sent in suggestions and I see that they have taken the suggestions into consideration even though they never even acknowledged receiving it.

Worst lab of them all. They are always behind on the weekends. Seems like they have unreliable staff that call in sick all the time, at least that's what they use as an excuse for being slow. I only go here when I have no other choice.

I have noticed the number of negative reviews, and I suppose each experience is relative. My experience yesterday was great. The door greeter gave me a fresh mask, some hand sanitizer, and was very cordial. The front desk was efficient, and my phlebotomist (sorry I forgot your name sir) did an excellent (near painless) job with the jab and was also very friendly. I highly suggest making an appointment online if at all possible, as I too have been caught off-guard with the drop-in wait in the past. I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment, waited 5 minutes, and was done within 3-4 minutes in the 'chair'. Good job all around.

Difficult to get appt.typically 4 to 6 week wait. For Sat / Sun Walkins, need to be there by 0730h otherwise 3 to 4 hour wait. Online booking site is horrible.poorly designed, difficult to use.

Today I walked in on a Saturday at 09: 00. They took my phone number down told be it would be a 45 minute wait. Waited in the lobby til they called me after 40 mins. Registered at the front desk. Waited another 30 for the blood test itself. Not bad for a walk in! I felt it was fairly smooth and safe. They provided new medical masks and hand sanitizer. People were friendly and professional. Fairly stress free experience.

Worst lab service. Avoid it. My arm hurts, sorre, puffy and have a bump raised bruise from the lady of African decent who did my blood test. Worse place to do a blood test. Never in my hundreds of blood test has this happened. Edit, week later arm still bruised. Avoid this place and especially that person

Waited an hour and a half for an appointment booked at 7: 30am, 45 minutes of which was spent in the private blood collection room. I started to wonder if they forgot about me or sent me to the wrong room! Extremely slow and poorly managed. Typical inefficiency and confusion for a government run entity. Thankfully, the lab technician was really friendly. She was the only one, but it sure helps to see at least one person who cares!

I went as a walk-in for my bloodwork today and I was very pleased with the courteous service I got from the time I joined the line in the hall until I was checked in, which was only 20 minutes.and considering I didn't have an appointment I was very pleased.
From too many negative reviews here I was worried about what to expect and I can tell you it was an efficient and courteous process. I got there at 9: 45 and was done by 10: 30. Thank you to the hard working staff.

First Of all two months ago they lost my referral! I was sent home. I know that my doctor office faxed it to them. I booked the appointment for today so that my work does not suffer.it is an hour or so later and I am not seen yet. I spoke to the person in charge, and now, patient they brought in to the room after me is seen before me.there was no I am sorry.just we are doing our best.
They have 4 people behind the desk and 2-3 actually taking your blood samples! That is how it looks!
There is more waiting then before when you choose to walk in.there is no explanation or I am sorry we are running late or we are short staff. NOTHING!
They lost referral for another person today!

I had the most bad experience in my whole life with this lab! The women was in charge of the lab came to talk with us regarding the issue with our health card and she was so rude! She even yelled at us! Never saw something like that!

Staff are great but provincial government's policies make for an impossible situation for staff. I was there recently and my Mom's 10: 10 a.m. Appointment took place at 10: 55 a.m. I learned that SEVEN people were booked for 10: 10 a.m. People were lined up down the hall (due to social distancing requirements) and a (wonderful) security guard from Cadillac Fairview was managing the crowds, asking people to wait downstairs and updating them as to what time slot could move to the second floor to line up for their appointment. Staff are being asked to do the impossible with inadequate resources (money and staff).

I lucked out because there was a cancellation so I was able to get an appointment within two days. Most labs are now booking a month out due to covid distancing requirements. No walk-ins on weekdays, just Saturday and Sunday, and you may have to wait outside the building.

I was initially taken aback because there was a line-up, but then realized that each person in line was being screened first. I understand that is now the norm at all labs. Once I realized that, I relaxed. There is no value in being early since several people are booked in each 10 minute block. They try to screen everyone who was scheduled for that time so you might not get in on time, but everyone with a 10: 30 appointment, for instance, will be screened before someone with a 10: 50 appointment.

Once I got into the lab, things proceeded largely as normal, and Rose the technician who took my blood did a superb job, leaving me with no bruising. Thanks! Good signage so I had no trouble finding my way out to the other door being used as the exit.

I came here yesterday for a 2 hour long blood test and honestly the staff were awesome. There was a bit of a hiccup with my faxed req being lost but that could have happened due to many different factors, so can’t really blame the lab. Every staff member I spoke to from the one greeting people at the door, the ones checking people in or the ones doing the actual lab work, they were all very friendly and caring and made sure I felt welcome here. Their system they have going currently with the COVID situation seems to work well and is very organized! As someone who has seen many labs the past few months, this will definitely be my new go to!

Everyone was extremely friendly, and as a walk in I didn't have to wait. It wasnt busy, so I was in and out in less than 15 minutes! No unnessesary waiting. The guy that took my blood was friendly and it was painless.

Ive been to this location twice. First time was a disaster and about 4 years ago. Did a walk in first thing and the waiting room was already full. Took me about 2 hours to get in and get my blood taken. Staff were rushed, busy and stressed so they were a bit rude, but they told me that they had two people phone in sick and they are never they bad.

Second time it was super easy. I gave them a 5 star review because they need it. The staff were all very friendly and professional. I was a walk in on a satursay morning. 15 minuted to open there were 15 people waiting ahead of me. Once they opened, everyone was signed in and sitting down very quickly. I got my blood taken within 30 mins, then my cardio test in another 20 mins. Yes it was about an hour total, but as a walk in you cant expect less. My honest take are people leaving these 1 star reviews fail to understand that the staff are trying their best but its easy to get cranky when you are dealing with so many people. Would come back easy.

We walked into the lab yesterday afternoon without an appointment and were taken in within 5 minutes and the 2 ladies that helped with taking my sons blood were amazing. They were both very friendly, understanding, sweet and professional. They really helped my son who was very scared. Thank you!

Don't come to Market Mall if your a doing a walk in, they may tell you 1.5 to 2.0 hours, however it's more like 3.5 - 4.0.

I went there for my appointment and it was closed without any note left outside! Nothing! Ppl were coming for theirs appointments and were confused why the lab is closed on a Saturday, they could just send emails or bother calling their patients or at least leave a note at your door tell us what to do, people had to drive there for nothing, also the staff there could use a little bit of smiles

If you are thinking of walk-in, this is not a place for you. I think this location should take away the walk-in service completely.

I was told I had to wait for 3 hours, so
I went out and get a coffee. They had canceled my name on the list without telling me (why do I have to leave my phone number if you weren’t gonna call?). The front desk lady was rude. She kept arguing with me isn’t their fault that I didn’t know their police.
