Chris did a condo inspection for us as part of our purchase. Very thorough and professional, Chris helped identify a few issues that we followed up on. Full reports with pictures are provided within 1 day, and the extra info pack for doing home maintenance was a nice touch, would definitely recommend working with them!

Because we were out of town, Chris gladly met with our parents and walked them through his inspection process. I can only imagine how patient he must have been with answering all of their questions, and they raved about how thorough Chris was. His thoroughness became even more obvious to us when he called us to go over every detail of his ~50 page written report afterwards. He took the time to answer our questions over the phone and his report included pictures of everything with animations to help illustrate his descriptions of the issues he found. He also colour coded issues to help bring attention to things that required immediate attention (drainage, attic foundation, moisture etc), suggested repair (bringing things up to code), preventative maintenance (like adding/updating sink vents, window runners, weatherstripping etc), optional/acceptable (such as adjusting hinges on cupboard doors), etc. These were very helpful to us when renegotiating terms of the 100+ year old character home that we had a pending offer on. Furthermore, the feedback helped us to know what optional things we wanted to take care of first when moving ourselves in. It brought great peace of mind to have such a detailed understanding of every nook and cranny of our new home and I would highly recommend Chris to any other people considering him for their character home or otherwise!

After buying our first home (new build duplex), I don't think there was any better money we could have spent than an inspection with Alberta Property Inspection. I booked them based on their reviews, but I was in disbelief as to how many 5-star reviews there were - surely it couldn't be true. However, it was worth every penny. Like other reviewers mentioned, Chris showed up before our appointment and had already surveyed the property and provided us with some feedback. He took 3.5 hours and we inspected the property together top to bottom. As new home owners, my husband and I didn't have the first idea on what most of the things in the basement were (water shut off, etc.) and how to maintain everything. Chris was patient and told us what everything is, if it meets code and is good quality, and how to take care of everything. Several people had told us we didn't need an inspection for a new build, but we are so happy we did, especially for our peace of mind. We were able to give the builder some minor adjustments to complete before finalizing our purchase and feel confident that we bought a solid home. Also, Lorayne was wonderful to deal with for booking the appointments and following up to ensure we were satisfied. 100% recommend!

He not only inspected our home top to bottom, but assessed the neighborhood for signs of sloping, fencing issues, etc. From inside and out he was so complete in his inspection he even took apart appliances to get to parts unknown to fully inspect life expectancy and damage etc. He gave great advice, gave us a personalized detailed maintenance schedule based on the systems we have in the house, and they followed up in a timely manner for a very complete assessment.

My husband and I would like to share our great informative home inspection one by Chris of Alberta Home Inspection this January, prior to the purchase of our present home. When we arrive a little earlier than the appointed time, we found that Chris had already made a preliminary inspection of the exterior. He took us round the exterior, notiyng in detail the materials used and the structure of the roof, walls, windows, eaves, etc ;Whenever, he came across anything that may be of concern or could be improved; he would take snapshots. After that, he would ask time to update his inspection notes. We found him very knowledgable, informative and methodical as he proceed in this manner throughout the inspection of the interior of the house. Topping our experience with him is when we received his excellent Inspection Report with a helpful index; so that it was easy to find his inspection notes on any part of the house. Besides noting all matters of concerns from his inspection which were illustrated by his snapshots, Chris also included helpful maintenance information. The inspection report ended with a great summary of his recommendations for matters of concern that should be rectified; which, fortunately, for us were not onerous. Thank you very much, Chris

We put an offer in on a home and had Chris from Alberta Property Inspection come to do the inspection on the house and property. We are so happy to have our inspection done by these wonderful folks. We walked through with Chris as he did our inspection and the amount of info we learned from him was absolutely invaluable. He taught us how to properly take care of our home and property and its particular features/amenities, what to keep an eye out for as things age over time, as well as what we can do in regards to upkeep and how to keep things running smoothly and efficiently. He was kind and knowledgeable and answered every question we had (I have literal pages of notes I took through our walk through). We ended up purchasing the house and couldn't be happier. We even had one small issue crop up after we purchased the home (the previous owner's large sectional was covering a crack in the basement flooring when we did the original walk-through that we couldn't see) and he graciously came out to re-check the issue immediately at no additional charge. It ended up being a non-issue and was due to poor flooring being used atop an in-floor heated walkout basement along the outer wall which gets the most extreme temperature shifts. I hired Chris to perform the home inspection on my new build house. He is very professional and knowledgeable about material, build quality, and construction practices.
