We have bought many vehicles from used car lots and I can confidently say this was the best experience that we’ve had. There was no pressure sales, they were upfront with the history of the vehicles and provided sound mechanical inspections. Sean, Cheryl and Logan were very personable and made for a pleasant buying experience. We will keep an eye on their inventory and would not hesitate to buy from them again.

The purpose of my review is to protect potential buyers by disclosing my personal experience regarding the aforementioned vehicle being sold by Alberta Truck and Auto.

1. Mechanical Fitness Assessment:
The Mechanical Fitness Assessment was sent to me via email by Cheryl Smith on Tuesday June 13th, 2023.a) The VIN on the assessment does not match the actual VIN of the car.b) The mileage described on the assessment (110,462km - dated September 28th 2022) is higher than the current mileage (107,903km - June 13th, 2023) by 2,559km.c) This assessment is only valid for 120 days after it has been completed. The assessment, as required by Vehicle Inspection Regulation, was expired.

2. Carfax - Vehicle History Report:
a) I requested a copy of the Vehicle History Report for the 2000 Mustang Convertible from Cheryl Smith and did not receive this report. Instead, she sent me an expired Mechanical Fitness Assessment.b) I purchased a copy of the Carfax Vehicle History Report myself.c) This particular vehicle has suffered accident/damage that is classified as "miscellaneous" in the amount of $5,477.00.

Price of the Vehicle:
a) At the time of consideration, the vehicle was priced at $10,888 until June 17th, 2023. The price is now listed at $11,500 (June 20th, 2023). The price change has been omitted from the "listing history" on the advertisement for the vehicle.

Interaction with Sales Representative, Cheryl Smith:
a) High-pressure sales tactics were attempted.
During our conversations over the phone, Cheryl Smith had said that the car must be sold by June 17th, 2023 or the owner would purchase the vehicle for his wife. I said that was fine, and was his decision. Cheryl then pushed further, repeating herself approximately 3-4 more times. By the end of the conversation, I did let Cheryl know that I understood and she was not required to repeat herself.b) I contacted the dealership the next day to cancel my appointment to test drive the vehicle. When I aired my concerns with my experience, the staff was dismissive and passive-aggressive.

I rated Alberta Truck and Auto with two stars because although my experience with them was negative/dishonest, I was not presented with hostile behaviour.
I would not recommend this dealership to my friends or family.

Sean, Logan, Sheryl and the rest of the team are fantastic. Very good atmosphere and the process of buying was super easy. We have purchased two vehicles in the last 6 months, pretty easy choice to make a repeat sale there.

This is my third vehicle I buy from them and I am still very satisfied. The advertised price you see is the price you pay, no surprises. All vehicles comes with an inspection report from a certified mechanic. Go see Cheryl, she is amazing to find the right vehicle for your needs and budget.

I found a car here online. Though the vehicle brought me to Cheryl and Alberta Truck & Auto, I would definitely go straight to them in future. Cheryl was an excellent salesperson. She made the experience very pleasent: no games, just a good vehicle at a fair price.

I had the pleasure of dealing with both Cheryl and Sean. Cheryl assisted my family and I with finding a vehicle that suited both our budget and our needs. She was quick efficient and friendly throughout the process. The vehicle we looked at in their lot was in excellent condition and thoroughly cleaned. Any issues were mentioned before hand.

As for Sean he helped facilitate the financing process. The vehicle was a rebuilt so some financing company's were not interested however Sean worked hard and quickly to find one that did. He was always 100% upfront and honest about the process, fees, and everything in between so there was never any surprises.

The only delays that came up was from finance company itself and he always relayed everything right back to me. Sean made sure that even though the car would not be ready at the scheduled time of 1pm that day, he got us a loaner car to fill the gap since the car we had was being returned before the purchased car would be ready. My experience has shown me that the people that work here truly cares about the customer beyond just making the sale.

Overall just a pleasure to deal with and would 100% buy from them again and would refer anyone to check them out first. The prices are fair, the staff is knowledgeable and will work hard to make sure the customer is satisfied.

I have recently purchased my minivan from here. My credit was not perfect, and I was quite young compared to most buyers, but they did not turn me away. They heard me out, heard my situation, and helped me find the car that was right for me. I was given red carpet treatment from start to finish, and even during the handing over of the keys I was given absolutely nothing but praise!

I am so thankful for not just this business but also the overall atmosphere and attitude of the entire process! If you need a car, they will not rest to help you. I will be recommending them to any of my friends and family that wish to purchase a car, and will not stop praising them.

I was a little nervous looking for a vehicle without my husbands help. Our schedules just did not line up and I needed something ASAP. Cheryl was so wonderful she helped me get the best price and was so patient with me.

Hands down the best used vehicle buying experience I've ever had! Justin, my salesperson, was new but extremely helpful. Don’t be fooled because they don’t have a fancy showroom or the perks you see in other dealerships. Alberta Truck & Auto was awesome- no pressure- just calm and positive energy. You have the freedom to take as long as you want without someone following you around trying to sell you anything and everything. I’ve never felt more comfortable taking a test drive. We seen a vehicle we were interested last year and we test drove it, but found a black one se liked better somewhere else in the end. BUT They made the experience so positive that we were drawn to come back when we needed a second vehicle and we were so glad we did. The prices are on the vehicles so your not trapped into sitting in the office looking at cars on the computer. Trust me! Me and my husband have been to so many dealerships where the employees don’t even know what inventory they have or where it is! They had the vehicle ready when promised, detailing was on par, price was fair and the financing department was proactive and had things ready for us so we weren’t spending 2 hours dealing with everything. Wasn't the best experience, after telling Sean the day previously that I was coming, once I arrived after my 5 hour drive, I find the vehicle has a flat. After they poured through my trade in, we came to a deal and I drove home after many other delays. Not even 24 hours into their 30 day warranty the car had an engine code. Since then I've gotten it diagnosed properly with a faulty sensor and an electrical issue. After asking to be booked in for repairs before my warranty ran out, I was told to try a fuel treatment that would fix both of those, and no date was set. As I had been running fuel additive since I bought it, it was clear they weren't going to help. Seemed like decent people, maybe not the most mechanically inclined, especially on European and Import vehicles.

Bought a pickup from this outfit disclosing it needed to pass a mechanical safety to go to Saskatchewan. They had a bunch of paper work showing they had done the equivalent. Brought it back to Saskatchewan and paid to have the mechanical safety inspection. They found a few issues one was a leaking rear axle seal. I thought this Alberta truck and auto was reputable and had integrity. I returned the truck 5.5 hours to have the work done on their 30 day warranty. Their mechanic Alan came at me like a bulldog. Called me and the mechanic who did the inspection blind and frauds. When he finally pulled it apart, at my expense, there was a film of oil on the brake pads. He refused to admit that there was oil there. My recommendation is to not trust their mechanics, they must be profit sharing, get a 3rd party inspection.

Let me start by saying we wanted to buy from these guys 3 years ago just because of their amazing service, but they didn't have the right vehicle for us at the time. They were our first stop this time around.
This place is absolutely fantastic to buy a car from. If anything we were the ones pushing to have the car and paperwork ready so we could take it to Banff for the Christmas holidays.
