Alforno at First Street Market

I was very excited to try alforno, but unfortunately my experience hasn’t been great. I’ve visited this location a couple of times as it is important to give second chances. Each time I visited the staff were rude and barely acknowledged me, the iced lattes are extremely milky with little to no taste of coffee and when ordering a cake I was given the smallest slice, which was about half the size as the other slices.

Bustling Italian eatery just off the Bow River pathway in the Eau Claire district. Had excellent traditional cappuccino - robust espresso, nice and hot. Breakfast menu looks hearty, casual Italian lunch & dinner menu looks fun - will try next visit.

The sweet dishes were as pleasantly indulgent as the savory dishes were nourishing! Great place to stop by for a quick bite with coffee or tea!

I was very excited to see they had opened an Alforno in the first street market as I was previously a fan of the original location on my block. It seems their poor service and treatment of patrons like second class citizens has transferred over here too. I understand it's hard to find good people these days. Then they have to audacity to ask for 20% and 50% tips when they usually don't even serve you. Their products are nothing special for the price point. You're pretty much paying for the location and entitled staff wages. I'd rather go to Starbucks or walk to Rosso.

While the stuff is great because it is Al Forno, this particular location needs to keep their bar counter and prep tables cleaner!

This new Alforno location has great décor and atmosphere. The same high-quality coffee drinks and surprisingly the food selection is larger than the original location. I had S'mores special hot chocolate, which was part of YYC Hot Chocolate Fest. The hot chocolate had toasted house-made marshmallow, dark chocolate and cookie crumble. It was a delicious drink but a bit too sweet to my liking. Overall it is great place to visit for a warm drink and tasty deserts.

My first time and it didnt disappoint me. I love the Mocha with their traditional chocolate mix. Very cozy place.

This location is as beautiful as its flagship location, just bigger space and more options for food (cause it’s inside a food hall). The barista crews were awesome and fun. I just love everything in this small cafe; ambience, aesthetics, and chic vibes.

It's smaller in size than the main location, but not in quality. I'd say It's even cozier, and less crowded. At least at the times I've been there.
