The Allendale Community League is just fantastic! During their Community League Days on September 23/23, the Greater Edmonton Parrot Society (GEPS) had a table there and everyone was so friendly and accommodating! (I was one of the volunteers there at that table along with another lady from the club and 3 adorable birds! We also have our monthly parrot club meetings there. We are so grateful to the Allendale Community League for all they do.they are a wonderful group of people! Thank you so much!
Rented for daughter's graduation party. Very clean, close to home, tables and chairs lots available. Kitchen came with stove coffee maker kettle full sized fridge with freezer. There is a playground right beside it. Cost very reasonable and person handling the hall was friendly knowledgeable about what we needed to do. Remained in touch with us to insure we had everything needed.
Went to the outdoor rink, and it's a nice spot, and it was open when we got there just before 9am Sat, and there was nobody else there until just before 11, just some other skaters.
But the ice was really bad, especially for being a pretty small rink. It was only partially cleared, there were tons of cracks, fissures, and gouges, it looked like it hadn't been maintained or flooded in weeks.
We cleared the whole thing by hand with the two small shovels, cuz free ice is free ice, but we couldn't even use the third nice big shovel because it was frozen solid into about 2 feet of ice
It was skateable, but expect poor ice and clearing the rink yourself, unless you're fortunate enough to have someone like me do it before you get there lol.
I was there today in person for a community Event, this is a community space that to me is very unique, safe and very adaptable. Some issues with parking but the streets are open for free parking. Rare in Edmonton.
