I am glad to have discovered this repair shop. It's a pleasure to be a customer of a business/professional who cares about the work done. Wonderful experience. Alex replaced the worn out HDD with an SSD in my 10-year-old iMac and moved macOS with all the data to the new drive, such that I continued using the iMac as if nothing happened, except for the performance difference. From now on this will be my go-to computer/smartphone repair shop, and I will make sure to recommend it to others.

Amazing experience. I spilt coffee on my laptop and was told that it would cost more than the original cost of the laptop to repair it. I was able to get it repaired here for a fraction of the price! Alex is a magician! He can fix anything and give good advice on everything Apple. I have been a customer for 6 years!

My computer completely died on me for my finals week for university. I drove two hours just to make sure Alex was the one working on my MacBook Pro. After being quoted crazy prices and two days of downtime for repair Alex had me with a new battery and working computer within 4 hours. Alex is a great, honest, and understanding man and I will only take my electronics to him when I need repairs done.

I genuinely thought my laptop was about to be dumped in the bin (or converted into a stovetop when playing games), but decided to give it a go and let professionals check what's wrong.

I took in my laptop after I spilt water into the side of it. Kept calling and they never said they had a chance to look at it. I stopped calling after 6 months and I’m guessing it either didn’t work or they repaired it and sold it. So they are either thieves or have horrible customer service

There is no better Mac/IPhone/apple_anything shop in Calgary. I have been to so many! And I swear by this one! Aleksey, the mastermind behind it, can fix anything in terms of hopeless software or hardware. Quick, reliable, honest + long lasting results. Monkey businesses, such as Village Square Mall Mac repair shop, for instance, will waste your time, money and nerves.
P. S. 1. What I definite as « Monkey business » refers to the kind of people who pretend to understand your problem at first instance. The next second they pretend to be unaware - as if there was no initial understanding. They know that it will take you a lot of effort to seek a better solution, so at the end of the day, you will roll over, hoping that the little extra that they ask you to pay will actually solve the problem. Please stop before they put you in front of this choice. No good solution can possibly come from people who give themselves the right to screw you.
P. S. P. S. After several attempts to get thing done, I asked a private Calgary group for a reference. Everyone named Alex. There was no other suggestion. I think it says a lot.
As an economist by training, I always look for a possibility to get the max with limited resources.
Hence, I encourage you to explore how Alex does max with least: he is renting a part of office space so that he can afford to reduce your costs of finding out what is wrong with your equipment to zero expense at your side. Other businesses (I’d rather call them Monkey businesses) charge between $25 and $50, for basic analysis that you can rely on. Alex does it within minutes or a day. The Monkey businesses charge their fees to keep you waiting for days. And if you complain, and say: I just want my equipment back, they give you a 30 minute lecture before you can possibly leave, having paid the fees God knows for what. I think I should stop here, before the recollections of my frustrations kill my evening. You have enough information to get my point and to check for yourself. I have no doubt that you will agree with me. But if you don’t, please give me a better reference. I am an economist, don’t forget ;)

My iPhone shut down and took it in to see if Alta Labs might be able to find out issue. Water damaged the screen and they got it running and backed up all data for me and downloaded on a new phone. New phone now has everything from old one exactly mirrored to old phone including all data, emails, pics, apps, etc…All this happened in about 20 minutes!

I can't say enough about Alex and his service. Polite, fast, accurate and honest. The whole deal if you need a computer repair, or upgrade.
