We booked our disneyland tickets through AMA travel, everything is all set, confirmed and paid for but when we got to the disneyland entrance the staff told us that our tickets was invalid and cancelled by viator early morning. We’ve waited in line for hours with our infant and toddler crying just to find out that our tickets was cancelled. We reached out customer care but agent doesn’t know what happened. Disneyland staff told us never use AMA travel again and go directly to their website. Great advice!

We would never book through this travel agent again. Worst experience ever.
When we arrived at our destination country our transportation was a mess and you would think the agent would make sure it was fixed for the way home but no we wasted a whole day of our holidays sorting out our transportation back to the airport. We couldn’t even get a hold of our agent as she was away and the emergency number she had given us in the email that bounced back to us wouldn’t even work.
We were away with a large group for a wedding and friends of ours joined but not the wedding group. Somehow their trip was $2000 cheaper than ours.
We would never recommend this travel agent ever again.

I want to share my experience: I had spoken to a travel agent at AMA Travel and told her my requirements for a short stay vacation, which were two: minimum 4.5 stars, and a family friendly place with a kids club and water slides for children.

We decided to go with Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach after a conversation with my agent. A 5 star resort all inclusive with a kids club in Los Cabos, Mexico. I booked online as she had an appointment with someone else and I wanted to be done with looking. She had told me that there is a kids club here and a kiddy pool. She did not say there are slides but I was ok as long as there is a kids club.

When we arrived for our short stay the kids club was closed and has been closed indefinitely. This was a massive blow as I took my daughter out of school for this vacation and here were no kid’s activities. I was very disappointed and spoke to the manager. However, he was not able to fix this issue. I then paid 191 USD to book an activity for my daughter when the whole point of going to a five star resort was to have a comfortable time with my father and my daughter on site. I hate to be negative but this occurred because the travel agent was not aware that the kids club was closed, but AMA Travel should have known if they are selling the packages.

I told the AMA and Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach I will give a negative review.

Further this 5 star resort presented us with a single towel our first day (for 3 people), a junior suite with only two beds, not even a sofa bed, so I slept with my daughter, an empty fridge, coffee maker without any coffee or even a single tea bag, and lukewarm washroom water. Regarding the cold water, they tried to remedy but this was an unfixable problem. All the room issues was remedied or attempted to be remedied by our manager, a wonderful man of the name Moises, and guest services but it led to a very poor reception and first impression and uncomfortable sleep. Of course this is not due to the AMA but due to Pueblo Bonito and WestJet having crossed lines of communication regarding deliverables: agents should have informed the resort that when people book through them, they expect a 5 star room if that is what their customer is asking for. It is very common for all inclusive to stock some food in the room and replenish it daily. I don’t drink, but daily water bottles, maybe some snacks, and coffee would be nice.

Overall, I paid for a short stay for $4300 CDN, and it was a great disappointment. I will likely never trust this agency travel again. Nor is this resort anywhere near a 5 star experience. Truly a hopeless resort. Unfortunately I feel like I wasted $4300 when I could have gone to a place with a functioning kids club, all inclusive, proper accommodation: try Costco Travel, or House of Travel, if you’re from Edmonton. House of Travel booked me last time and were excellent.

October 2023, Update: AMA Travel has contacted me and kindly completely dealt with this issue to best of their abilities. The Supervisor at AMA Travel personally dealt with WestJet (WestJet Vacations?) and with Pueblo Bonito and tried her level best to remedy this issue. The remedy was acceptable-to repay me the $191 I spent- however I will never go to any Pueblo Bonito resort. Further, I am extremely grateful to AMA Travel for advocating for me and will continue to use them for my (infrequent) vacations, as although the initial experience was poor, the efforts to remedy this issue were exceptional and excellent. Appreciate the terrific Supervisor, T. C, very, very much.

Was told on phone friend has 2 passport photos per yr and that disappointing AMA will not let him utilize them for a friend for driving permit cause he had his photos.

Stamp misssed on permit now have to make another trip back.

Disappointing all around.

We went to AMA to change our address on our driver's licenses. We like AMA for registration services since it's quick and very helpful to members. Not disappointed, great service.

We were booked through Joye Wichuk for a vacation in Mexico. We have never been out of the country before, didn’t even have passports. She walked us through every step before and during our trip. Spent a great deal of time and effort making sure we were taken care of throughout the entire experience. Totally recommend.

Everyone is very friendly. While we were in line, a friendly floater came to ensure we were in the right line, etc. We were all well taken care of.

I understand due to Covid-19 there is reduced staff. However, the place was almost a ghost town. End of the month registration and barely anybody working. Extremely long line up.

Being a member has made sticker renewals much easier! The layout very comfortably accommodates physical distancing and the kiosks are cleaned between users.
