Helpful staff and great health food products and whole foods. High quality supplement brands and always something new to try. I would say they have a better selection of wholesome products in comparison to some larger stores that seem to be bringing in more processed foods instead of health foods. Keep doing what you’re doing and thanks for catering to the low sugar/gluten free community!

I love this little store on Elbow and Southland. Despite their small store they are well stocked with a variety of fresh and pantry products. Highly recommended.

They have the best staff! Fair prices and I always get what I'm looking for here, if not you can place an order. All around the energy of the store is so fantastic you don't want to leave. Thanks for being so awesome guys!

I get eye contact from whoever sees me first when I come into the store. If the staff know my name, they greet me by name.

Great also that my partner is known to staff and he makes weekly trips on his own to Amaranth, somewhere he had not shopped before. His go to places are usually Superstore and Costco.

Product selection is always extensive, especially for hard to find items, and bulk products. Organic produce is always available.

Amaranth in Arbour Lake is my local market. There are a lot of stores in the Crowfoot area, but I love Amaranth as their staff are helpful, the items they sell are interesting, and prices really aren’t too bad. I will keep going there.

For a long time I shopped at the Amaranth store in the NW of Calgary. It was an hours drive in order to get there but was the only place that had an amazing variety of organic bread flours. I am a bread baker. I was so overjoyed when the Southland store opened. Their selection of other organic grains and food items is amazing. If you haven't been there, it is definitely worth a visit.

I have been shopping at Amaranth Arbour Lake since 1995 when they first opened. I believe they are the most ethical whole foods store in Alberta. The owners are rather strict about what companies they purchase from, and I feel good knowing that I am getting the best quality foods/products from companies that care about the environment, animals, where their ingredients are sourced, etc. Definitely a five star company!

I went into Amaranth with a small list that my wife needed. I did not know where to look and staff immediately came to my rescue and showed me where everything was. Great customer service. Prices are reasonable and competitive.

I have been shopping at the Arbour Lake Amaranth for many years. Always great service, great prices and stocked up on my favourite products! And they always have very knowledgeable staff which is amazing!

Two stars for the one lady at cash yesterday evening (Nov 29) and the younger guy who had no problem helping me when I was struggling for a while trying to find something. I work for Instacart and have never been in this store before as well so I very much appreciated his help.
However I had asked another woman working on the floor ready to help me at cash and then as soon as I mentioned Instacart and needing help finding things or even a direction as to where she got snippy and told me "Sorry we aren't personal shoppers". There was no one else behind me in line and the store was fairly quiet. This woman could have helped. She went on to say "It's a small store and you have to find things yourself". Why be in customer service anything if you aren't going to help potential customers find things for people who are waiting for their food they ordered. They're also customers of the store. And it's a very bad look for both when a store worker is unwilling to help a customer who has never been in there before. What a terrible experience. I'll never shop there based on this one lady alone. Don't work customer service if you aren't going to help. Btw. It affects you guys too if we can't find stuff for people because a lot of times they'll just cancel and get refunded so you're also losing out on money by not helping.

Always so nice to go to a local family owned store where my business is recognized, valued and appreciated. The service is excellent, the owners and staff are wonderful. They always have all the products in stock that I need. If ever out of stock they promptly order it and call me when it's in.
What more could you want! Everything is excellent!

Friendly helpful, patient, clean staff and store. Wearing masks to protect others and themselves from this deadly variant Covid pandemic in this small store. Kind and thoughtful thinkers in choosing to wear masks, eventhough our Conservative Priemer Jason Kenny lifted all restrictions in the worst timing of the transmission of this deadly variant. AB over 1000 cases a day worse then one year ago stats. In my circle alone I have grieved 30 friends & relatives.

A great store for health foods, and organic and non GMO products. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly and very helpful finding what you are looking for.

When I used to live here I would shop for the gummies because they were the best.i am sad that i moved away. Besides that this place is the best.

15 year customer of community natural foods. They now turned into a discrimination factory. Called Amaranth and they said they follow the bylaw fully. Was able to shop without being discriminated against. I do have a legitimate medical condition and carry my doctor's note with me at all times. I know I do not have to show it according to the bylaw but still there's too many Karen's and Steve's in Calgary in 2021. I will continue to shop here.

Amazing. They don't discriminate unlike community natural foods. They follow the bylaw which has a clause for those who are exempt. Way to go Amaranth!

Great quality products and friendly staff; sometimes a bit cramped when trying to follow COVID guidelines.

Love this place. I've been going to this store for over 20 years and have not one complaint. Selection is excellent and staff is great. Their 20%-off- supplements-and-beauty-products once a month, now more often since covid, is an amazing savings. It's right across from the lake in Arbour Lake so it's convenient for your picnic too. They support local producers so a good citizen in our community. They sometimes have things you can't find anywhere else. Love this place.

Not very consistent about coupons. A coupon that was valid last time is not valid this time.tho not expired. Vouchers accepted for one person may not be accepted for another. I was refused in a very rude way. If you’re not going to honor them, don’t issue them. Not a very good business if willing to lose a regular customer over a $5 coupon and in a very rude way!

If you're going to have individuals drive the company vehicle, make sure they know how to drive. Held up traffic going slow in the passing lane on the highway.

I visited the store as a first time customer, but I won’t be back and I left empty-handed. I tried my best to give them my money but they couldn’t be bothered to give me some customer service. The one person who was helpful was off his shift and was clearly the friendliest person there. The one who I had to ask for help rather than it being offered, was rather negative and quickly said he couldn’t help me. It seems that unless you are a regular customer, and you know everything about the store, you can’t shop there.

This store has always had everything I need and then some things I really enjoyed trying. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They have lots of really great deals-seniors and first Wednesday of every month is customer appreciation day with 20% off supplements etc. Amaranth makes it easy to find the store deals with their "Way to Save" tab at the top of the page on their site.

Arbour Lake Amaranth is my market of choice for many reasons. They always carry quality produce and have been the only grocery store to which I've never had to return produce. The staff are knowledgable and always help me find what I need. Many know me by name.
When I can't find an item, they can typically order it in for me.

I have been a customer since they opened the Arbour Lake store. It has been wonderful to get to know so many people over the years. We love how everyone at the store makes the effort to know you by name. It's no wonder we continue to shop within our community since they also carry a wide selection of organic products and fabulous supplements section with knowledgeable staff!

Amazing store with a bunch of organic yummies and terrific personal care products. This is the place where one can find pesticide-free locally grown strawberries, juicy apples and pears, fleshy tomatoes, delicious cream cheese, incredibly nutritious milk, home-taste yoghurts, and nice sausages with a perfectly low sodium number. Being a big fan of organic and homemade food, I am super happy to finally find so high-quality goodies in the local store and introduce them to my toddler. What concerns the personal care choice, it is always a top-notch selection: From highly moisturizing natural creams to baby-friendly products. Being a truly happy customer, I would strongly recommend this place to everyone who is looking for a better way to eat, live, and thrive.

Amaranth is right in my neighborhood, and I LOVE this store. They have an incredible supplement selection and certified staff you can share your health challenges with and get real time recommendations! I've never experienced this anywhere else. Oh, and be sure to take advantage of their 20% off day the first Wednesday of every month on supplements and body products. I stock up all the time on these days. I'm thankful for their fair prices and commitment to supporting local business as well.

My favourite whole foods store in Calgary. They carry all the unique products which so many times you never find anywhere else, very good price and mainly their sales days twice a month. You can save significantly on those days. Just love amaranth.
