I've purchased from here several times and found that they have good selection online and in-store. Prices are good too. Customer service is not always the best though. It is hard to find employees on the floor for assistance, and I've had to go to the checkout to seek help with locating items and employees seemed grumpy at times. An employee at checkout once made a strange comment/joke about whether I also needed a toilet seat (I had purchased a toilet flange) and another employee whispered for him to stop, so I suppose it was an inside joke at my expense, which I did not understand.

I will continue to shop here because items are of great quality but I usually don't feel comfortable due to customer service.

Their company is heavily bureaucratic. It takes 10 days to open a cash account with them. Dealing with them feels like dealing with a bureaucratic government, as if you are begging them, and is extremely inefficient. They don't work hard, they don't check the shipments, they send the wrong goods. After-sales service efficiency is also extremely low, their own company made mistakes, not the first time to solve the problem for customers, but the implementation of their so-called complex procedures. The client also bears the cost of innocent time. I really do not understand, now the network is so developed, the market competition is so fierce, how can there be such a company, such a company will have a better future? I really hope that their bosses can see this information and make timely changes.

I am a client form Costa Rica and I ordered a filter housing for my GE fridge. The were very helpfull in checkeing for the correct part and confirming fit. The item was send promptly and once arrived in Costa rica I was the correct part and we have ice again! Great service! Will recomend

Unfortunately they have terrible refund policy. They will not accept returns the moment you try to test a part you bought from them the second you walk out from the store.

They will look for any type of mark or scratch on a part to tell you you used it, therefore they can't accept it back. Bad longterm business practice.

Only buy from them if you know you won't find yourself in a situation where you need to return not needed item.

So I decided to order from this company as I prefer to shop local. They shipped the part out extremely fast but let me be clear on the return policy. It’s not convenient at all as they state they only accept returns in original condition and unused.
I’m not even going to attempt to lay the shipping to trust their inspection of my unused part
Be sure you order exactly what you need and hope it works because apparently they will not accept it back.

Went in today to pick up a part. Waited awhile to pick it up the the worker could not answer a question I had. Thankfully, Troy behind the counter answered my question and saved me a lot of driving. Turns out I needed a second part. Thanks Troy. Greatly appreciated

Called amre looking for a door latch for my ge profile dishwasher. I was told that the part was discontinued but to drive onto the city because they are interchangeable and they would have one. I did that and the guy at the desk said no way that they are and that it would take at least 6 weeks to get the one I needed. Ordered a Samsung one off Amazon for 1/3 of the price and it works great!

Needed an obscure large ferrule for a valve fitting. Not available at chain hardware stores. Very helpful and knowledgeable person at the sale desk a couple of weeks ago helped me find one quickly, saving me the expense and potentially plenty of trouble trying to replace the entire shut-off valve in an awkward location. Top-notch.

Amazon has no signature, door delivery and this company made me sign a tablet and a paper copy, had 4 printed receipts, made me wait 10 min, call a central line, choose my language and enter an extension and type my first and last name in a tablet to pick up a 30$ milwaukee part. How do they need signed paper and signed digital copies? They are using a 50 year old paper system and a modern electronic system together all to the detriment of their customers. I will pay extra to shop elsewhere (paid extra here anyway). Who set up this system yikes!

If you need a specialty part, they probably have it, I usually buy appliance/furnace items. Prices are what you would expect, reasonable. Staff is sometimes grumpy/impatient, but they seem to know their stuff. Plenty of free parking is available.

Was looking for weeks in different places for a cap (found out it's a vacuum breaker kit) for my garden faucet. Angie from the desk took the time to help me find what I am looking for. She made a special effort to be accomodating.

I am leaving this review to warn potential customers about rude comments from a man working at the counter whom I was told is named Mike. While purchasing a part from another polite sales associate of Asian decent, Mike butted into the conversation to tell me in a rude way: "If you install the part, you cant return it". Confused, because I didn't even ask this person anything to begin with or bring up the topic of returns, I then turn to my sales associate and ask him "I assume then its alright to return the part if I don't install it? " To which Mike then butts back in and responds "What are you even doing here then? " while laughing to himself.

What absolutely horrendous and unacceptable sales behavior. A real slime ball that took a pleasant interaction I was having with an associate and ruined it. If management wants to rectify the situation, i'll update the review. If not, they've lost me, and anyone I know looking for appliance parts, as clients.

I called a few days ago to speak to my friend who works at Amre Supply downtown.
He put me in touch with Briley Carlson who helped me with my plumbing question regarding the replacement of a relatively older Moen Bathroom Faucet. His professional opinion really helped me out and I will be going there in person when the cartridge truly needs replacing.
Awesome service advice. That's why I shop there.

Great place to go for those odd household parts and supplies. They are quite helpful. I was just disappointed that the guy helping me wasn't wearing his mask properly. The place was busy with customers and staff and this is just irresponsible during these times.

I have dealt with Amre supply for over 20 years to get my appliance parts, the parts personals in front desk always welcoming and knowledgeable compared to theircompetitions in Edmonton. Also I witnessed especially one sales associate by the name Jess Mckenzie his service exceeds expectation efficient service. With no exadurations, he has the ability to serve three customers while the other ones are helping one. Well focused in his customer service. Ten stars for him. Theyve been extremely helpful everytime I've visited. If they dont have a part or cant get it in for me theyll look up any substitutes with everyone else in town or the internet.

We ordered flapper that their website said they was in stock on Feb 10th 2021. We never received order but was charged. Called today April 19th 2021 and they was going to ship today. We cancelled the order and is not sure if we will get the refund.

Good place in town for parts for appliances and garden hoses and things like that. Little bit pricey though. Needed a small door clip for my dryer and ended up having to spend over $10.

I love amre.i started coming here when it was recommended to me by my friend in the painting business.she used to buy all her supplies here.it is my go to place for most anything you need for plumbing, electrical, cleaning supplies, household accoutrements, etc.the guys/gals behind the counter are great.they know their wares and always go the distance to accommodate their customers.

UPDATE: I finally got a hold of someone. They were not particularly helpful, but I got my answer regardless of whether I liked the response or not. Still a pretty frustrating experience.

ORIGINAL: I absolutely cannot get anybody on the phone. I have called for multiple times over the past couple of days, and I keep getting the "experiencing high call volume" message and have been left on hold for half hour or longer. I also haven't been able to get any response from their online contact form yet. Does this location still operate? It might be easier to just drive there and talk to someone in person - too bad they are only open until 5: 30 so only a short window after work to get there. Super frustrating.

Was at the store for a temperature control part for an oven on Jan 13,2020. Did not replace it in the oven at that time as the old one continued to work. On July 17th, got a message F3E2. Replaced with new part and still got the message. Called the store on 120 Street July 18. The man who answered the phone was useless. I asked him if they could test the new part to ensure it was not failing. He knew nothing and was not helpful. Making comments continually that he did not know if it could be tested, warranty was off, and said he could not help. I told him if the new part was faulty, I would know to buy another. He was so annoying and frustrating that when I was losing my cool, he was trying to talk over me. Horrible customer service. I have done customer service for years and have never been allowed to treat people in that manner. He possibly is in the wrong position or needs a lot more training on product and how to work with customers.

The 3 stars are for the fact that they carry pretty obscure stuff that would need to be ordered online otherwise. I always prefer to shop locally when I can.

No stars for customer service, that's for certain.

Let me explain: I was in today as I recently had some unpleasant sewer backup issues in my house. After spending hundreds on a plumber to determine a broken backwater valve flap was the issue, they suggested I visit amre supply to ask their customer service team for help identifying it. Me, not knowing anything about backwater valves, clean the flap up with bleach, bring it along (so they can look at it and help to identify what I'd need), and ask at the counter.

The man I spoke with proceeds to expect that I'd have knowledge about backwater valve/flap sizing (which of course, I don't). Berates me for a minute about it, then checks for his largest size (as the ones on their shelf were all too small), and it's not in stock.

He was really rude about it, when all he'd have to do is look at it once and either measure or estimate the size based on what was right in front of him.

You'll recognize him by the one that's wearing his covid mask under his nose.

I purchased a fluorescent light from Amre but two weeks after the installation the light cover came off and fell to the ground, cracking. I contacted Amre and the manager immediately rectified the situation, offering to replace the cover and/or the entire light. I picked up the cover from Amre and the fluorescent light was as good as new. Amre offered great customer service as good customer service is what truly makes a business! Thanks Amre!

We ordered a compactor for our A/C unit on June 8th and expected delivery by June 16th. Due to COVID-19, we expected some delay. It is now June 23rd and we have not received it, yet. When calling a representative at the customer service number, we were told it was at US customs. That was on Friday, June 19th. It's not like it is coming from China, it is in Canada. We live in upper NY state and the heat and humidity have been terrible. I expected some delay, but this is ridiculous!

My fridge died last night, looking online, this was the only company to have the parts to fix it. I drove down to get it, but forgot my sheet with my part number. The sales rep was super helpful and understanding and found the right part for me. Thanks
