Anna's Alterations

Very expensive, Would not recommend them at all!
Did not even explain how much it was going to cost me before I picked up my alterations.
Do you your homework and shop around.

I took an old jacket in to have a minor repair done.
The stopper at the end of the zipper was missing. I had the zipper pull, and could have fixed it myself by handsewing a few layers of thread at the bottom of the zipper.
They said they could fix it.
I picked the jacket up yesterday, and the bill was $60!
Instead of doing a simple fix, they replaced the entire zipper, which was in perfect condition.
They did unnecessary work so they could charge me more.
Since when does it cost $60 to replace a zipper?
I was completely ripped off.

Anna’s alterations is an amazing in so many ways. Everyone in the store is so welcoming and friendly and know how to do alterations. My daughter was told her dress was not able to be altered and it was garbage. Anna did the job and the dress was stunning. She is knowledgeable and such a kind person.

Anna and Rosie are such a pleasure to work with. They are so knowledgeable, friendly, professional and the craftmanship and detail that they and their team put into their work and alterations is incredible. I honestly think they perform magic on clothes. They also make you feel like family when you walk in. Great local alterations shop. They did a great job adjusting pants and repairing a vintage dress. Cannot recommend highly enough!

I purchased a bridesmaid dress for my sister's wedding and due to my figure, it was fitted up top but much to big everywhere else. I rushed to Anna's straight from the bridal shop (Park & Fifth) on their recommendation to get everything taken in. I was about 4 weeks from the wedding, and quite concerned this would not get done in time. In my fluster, I'd forgotten my shoes which were needed for the hem length, however the team at Anna's assured me it would take no time at all and to bring it back a couple weeks following. I did just that, and my fitting took maybe 10 minutes, I came back in a week and it fit PERFECTLY. No additional adjustments needed, and it fit even better up top. This will no doubt be my alterations shop from here on out.

Went to Anna’s to have some alterations to my wedding dress. They did a great job of listening to my requests and making my dress fit me beautifully, I spent 9-10 hrs in my dress comfortably!

It was the most amazing experience to be able to ask Anna’s Alterations, who altered my wedding dress, to complete the alterations on the same dress for my daughter many years later. They did amazing work on my daughter’s dress, with helpful suggestions when my daughter needed them. The outcome was amazing, and really made the day special knowing that Anna’s Alterations allowed my daughter to be able to wear my dress for her wedding. I can’t thank them enough!

Very pleased with my wedding dress alterations. My dress was many sizes too big and very complicated to alter down. Anna was able to work some magic and made it fit me seamlessly! Everyone was professional and transparent about the process.

My daughter pageant dress was to long at the very last minute Anna’s alterations was able to fix the length of the outfit in one day! I dropped off at 12 yesterday and picked up at 9am today! And It was not an easy job as the bottom was full of rhinestones so they had to do it from the waist! It looks a million times better. Will be a lifelong customer! Thank you Anna’s alterations! You saved the day!

I brought three legged dog and her new $158 snowsuit to the shop three times for fittings to have it altered to cover the dog's bare underside and amputation site at the hip. Their first attempt was crooked, twisted to ab angle when she walked and left her bare belly exposed. I returned with the dog to have that fixed. They cut and hacked until there was not enough fabric to cover her bare underside and the cover for her hip bone, which had been cut too high, bulged and shifted, exposing it to the cold. I went back again, Next they closed the opening so tightly below the dog's waist I could not put the outfit on the dog. I went back again and they tore out the stitching but had no solutions to offer. Their alteration was expensive and ill-fitting, never adequately rectified. I bought another new snowsuit and a different shop did a nice job the first time. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Anna's Alterations never dissappoints. I am always pleasantly surprised by their results. I just brought in another item and it's not only fixed perfectly, it looks brand new. These people are MAGIC! Oh and they are super nice to deal with.

I came to Anna’s Alterations after having a horrible experience at a different alterations business close to me. It was like night and day the experience that I had at Anna’s compared to the one I tried before. The woman who helped me at the front desk was so polite and helpful. I had two pairs of jeans that were a few inches too tight at the waist. I was asked to try them on and the seamstress said she could easily alter them. The quote I was given was $50 per pair, which might be pricy for some people, but I was more than happy at that estimate since that’s the same price I was quoted at the other business I went to. Also, the jeans I bought were from a sustainable Canadian business and I really wanted them to fit me again.

At the end of the day, what people remember is how they are treated and I can say the staff at Anna’s are warm and professional.
