Apex Medical Clinic

Extremely poor, took 50minutes to be seen after a paid appointment for a medical. They do a blood test for glucose, finger pick, but it was done by a gloveless receptionist using a reusable lancet holder which is a health violation as it could be contaminated even if the lancet tip isn't reused. She did not dispose of the used tip in a sharps bin (was not one in sight) and put it back in the tray it came from. I will never go here again, it's a health risk. Complained to the doctor and he spoke to her in Hindi so I've no idea what was said. Made a report to AHS.

Long hours of waiting, even you booked an appointment and came early, you will be attended last and only if you will follow it up, that’s the only time they will refresh the line number for you.

For two weeks i am trying to see a doctor to refill my prescription and for two weeks this location doesn't have any doctors at any time available. What kind of walk-in clinic is that? Staff always forgets about people in the waiting area and can be quite rude. I do understand that the medical field in Canada is understaffed, but why opening the clinic and not having any one available. This location sucks, they need new management, staff trained in customer service and more reliable doctors.

The worst clinic and the worst service in the city of calgary. The receptionists yesterday made my family wait for 2 hours by lying to us, we had to leave without being attended to with my baby who has a serious heart condition.the alberta health service doesn't care about us or they would close this horrible clinic.

We had an appointment with our new born was not even a week old and still we had to wait over 1 hour to see our family doctor. This is after we booked an appointment 5 days in advance. People were coughing, sneezing around our child. We didn’t felt safe.
Poor management and handling. Staff Double booked appointments.

I used to come to this clinic when first opened. Service & care was good. Dr. Anand was attentive to the care provided. Now it is overbooked & doctor rushed to get next client in. Poor care and long wait time even if you have an appointment.

Wow… I call with a hope that they will see my husband who has been sick for 3 weeks. We have tried our family doctor, we have been emergency but nothing has helped so far. I called to see if they will see him but the receptionist was so rude and unprofessional. No explanation whatsoever ever but she tries to be sarcastic and tells me “if it’s an emergency we have hospitals”You work in a medical clinic, Learn to show some respect and empathy towards patients

Very poor management. They don't tell you, but let me give you a tip, give yourself 3-4 hours to see a doctor in walkin.they will keep saying you are next and leave you in waiting room for hours. Their management needs to do a better job in booking patients, I guess a lot of overlapping bookings that are being done, leaving patients in the hours of waiting

I have my blood test result with them, which I confirmed it with them. So i wanted to know when can i get the result and they said come in anytime between 9-3 and you can have it. When we went there they said right now everything is booked and they cant take me in.and i have to wait 2 more days for the same. Planning to change it as this clinic is master to give hard time

I want to rate this clinic as low as i can, very very poor service. They do not care about their patients at all. I hate Canada health system as well. I am suffering from bad back pain and cannot even go to washroom, cannot stand and in this situation i cannot even go in emergency due to wait time. These stupid family doctors and their clinics do not pay attention or listen to u, ultrasound, MRi is out of reach due to incredible amount of wait period. Canada health system suckkkkksss. My doctor gave me some pain killers and those pain killers not helping but the worst part is now to talk to my doctor or to meet her i need to wait for 20-30 days. No matter if I die of pain

Worst clinic. Take a day off to see the doctor. They book appointment for fun but never see you on time.

The lady sitting in the reception is giving totally wrong information we sitting since first to last everyone has left except us when we asked her she told before u people are sitting but all are left before us. We waited almost 3hrs and my dog is in car. She is not understanding and telling to sit more 25 minutes. Really bad experience I found here

Very rude behaviour at the counter receptionist laddies don’t know how to deal with patients. Specially old patient. I been there today. With my grandfather. Their behaviour was not good. I don’t recommend this place at no cost. Peace

Got there, barely checked on me and send me away with a cough syrup, then 3 days after had to go to a real doctor to get antibiotics… really bad

They don't know how to talk to someone and the customer service skills of this receptionist is very much lacking and needs to be re-trained Extremely poor service. I would not recommend to anyone, very disappointed. Waited from 2pm-7pm for telephone appointment nobody calls and nobody cares.

The whole purpose of an appointment is so we don’t have to wait unnecessarily. They need to understand people have jobs and other stuff to do in their days. Not just sit here waiting and waiting

Wow. My friend recommended them because my family Dr.is closed on Sundays. It was 4pm when I heard about them, website says they close at 5pm. I got there at 4: 25, the doors were open, but they refused to take me.
I told them that I just need antibiotics for a recurring issue that could spread to my kidneys.
They just said, “sorry were not taking any more clients today. ” (even though I was the only client in the room).
… Just lock yours doors in that case, or write online that you close at 4 so that I don’t waste my gas.
Honestly, don’t people get into medicine to help people in need?

The dr was verry nice and helpful however I waited an hour and 40 mins for a walk in appoipment to have a new dr so just be prepared to wait a while at least there is a fish tank to watch

I called yesterday for telephone appointment the receptionist told me they will call me today after 2pm.i wait for the call from 2pm-7pm still no call from them.worst experience ever and i don't know the name of the receptionist she's very rude and it seems she doesn't know what she's doing and the customer service skills of this receptionist is very much lacking and needs to be re-trained

I wish i could give zero star for the front staff. Called them at 8: 59am and its 10: 07am no answered yet. Press 9 after an hour of hold and answered at 10: 03 and said this is an emergency and do not press this number and said it is an emergency my mom is really sick and put on hold again. After 7 minutes front staff answered and said CAN YOU PLEASE HOLD and i said i am on hold from last one hour and 10 minutes but its 10: 11am now and still no answer. Been a patient from last 7 years no complains with doctors but front staff is literally not doing anything. There service is getting bad day by day. Getting paid for nothing. Hire some good staff.

Always make people wait for an hour or so even with their pre booked appointments. Walk-in is even worst.

Staff especially receptionists are not professional at all and does not show any empathy to people waiting for their appointments.

Such a rubbish clinic. Even if you book an appointment they will make you wait for 2 or even more hours for no reason. People coming after you and who have an appointment after you will be called before. When you ask they just gonna say that your turn is next but won’t call you for next 20-40 minutes.

Worst Family Clinic I ever had!

I visited this clinic and met my family doctor Dr. Hargumbir Toor. The doctors here were so arrogant. They can’t solve anyone’s problem. They have just opened this for making money.

A colleague called this clinic to ask if he could bring his sick 1 year old daughter to the clinic because she had a fever and was vomiting. The receptionist who took the call told my colleague that the clinic doesn't see patients like that and asked my colleague to call 811 service. First of all, the customer service skills of this receptionist is very much lacking and needs to be re-trained. I was going through their reviews on line and am like that's why they only have 2.1 stars. Be ware when you go to visit this clinic and visit it at your own risk, cause if this is what the receptionist is like what does that say about the doctors working there. Again that this is my opinion but it's a food for thought for anybody seeking medical services from this clinic.

Made an appointment. I waited 25 minutes past my appointment time and asked how much longer. They said there were still 3 paitens ahead of me. Very unprofessional. I have had great experiences here in the past, but lately it has gone down hill. Very disappointed.

For some reason, they don’t allow two parents to go in with a year old patient. It is frustrating to have a set up like that. The reason I was told that there isn’t enough space in the consultation room.

Long wait times. Then they rush you during the appointment. No straight answers. Plus you will feel judged.

I went 3 times in this clinic and i had same experience all the times as front desk staff have no knowledge about medical terms and policies of clinic.i went there with my 2 year old son i already explained to staff on phone about my son has tonsillitis but she said you can come walk in.after waiting for an hour she said i did not listen properly on phone and doctor cant see patient who have throat problem.i will not recommend to anyone to visit this clinic they just waste clients time.

Its been 4 days and still no one will call me back about my Anti Anxiety medication and every time I call they stick me on HOLD To NEVER talk to me. I'm this close to calling a lawyer

I love all the doctors here. They are compassionate and helpful. When my doctor is not there these doctors cover for each other snd carefully read our charts to make sure everyone gets the care they need. Dr Mazhar is the best doctor i have ever had. Be patient when your a patient but u dont usually need to wait long. Plus they have good wifi so it is easy to wait

This clinic is blocks from my house, made a phone consult as I suspected I had tonsillitis (I have had it before) Dr rushed me off the phone told me there was nothing she could do for me and told me to go to emergency at my closest hospital. Literally drove to urgent care in airdrie not only was i right but they were happy to see anyone who comes in they swabbed me wrote me a prescription and took care of me. Not everything is COVID and a doctor should take the time to listen most of the doctors at apex really make you feel like you are wasting their time

Poor service both the receptionist and the doctor there. My daughter went there for walk-in due to neck pain and they refused to attend to her thinking she might have covid-19 without assessment. They're not suppose to be in health Services.

I have nothing but positive things to say about the doctors and the staff at this clinic. They have all been extremely helpful and patient with myself and my family. Dr. Namrata Toor is our family doctor and she is incredibly intelligent, patient and kind. We have also seen Dr. Gurdev Toor who is just as great. Of course sometimes they can be busy, but they are a family clinic and there can be a million reasons why they are backed up. We are very satisfied and will continue to be patient's of this clinic

Trying to make appointments and waiting to be answers more than 1 hours and after that they make us to wait again after they answer the phone lol the worst services

This place is a joke they have the open sign on and the girl is sitting there doing absolutely nothing i go in and she said the dr cant see me now i asked if shw could give me at least a urine test that i have been in pain all day i think i have kidney problems she thinks about it and says no again so i asked if she knows of anything open she looks on the conputet and says she doesnt know i asked if she knew anything about urgent care she just shrugged and said no she didnt. I go back in there today and she is rude and tells me its an hour and a half wait i said ok well put my name down i will come back ina little bit she saya no he wont take any more patients. Of corrse i cant hear her thru the glass and her mask and she was very rude so i said ill go somwhere else. Most unproffessional medical place i have ever been! Brutal!

My family Doctor is Dr Gill from Apex Medical Clinic and I really have a good experience with him I am heart patient and he always take care for my medicine doses, I have a standing order for my weekly blood test and on the basis of result my blood test my doses changes all the time but Do Gill always call me back after he gets my blood test results and ask me how much dose requires. So as per my experience he is doing his best even though my family got Covid Infected in January 2021 that time I think he called me every day till my family was in quarantine. For me he is one the best Doctor there, I know some time we have to wait there but only we are not going there so many other people also there for treatment …. I m giving this review because I m moving to other City, and just want say thanks to all team of Apex Medical Clinic and Specially to Dr Gill.

If I could give negative ratings I would definitely give that. I made an appointment to see Dr as I had somewhat sore throat, she booked me in and when I went there I had to wait for 45 minutes just to see Dr. And after 45 minutes when I told her I need antibiotics for sore throat as normal medication is not helpful she denied and was being rude to me about AHS protocols I tried to convince her that I have took both my vaccine shots and I have proof of negative covid test she was telling me to quarantine. I literally had to fought with her to see Dr. And after all of it Dr took me and give me sick note for my work and did not prescription anything but laughed and said it's gonna get worse it's just flu take Advil. As if I haven't already taken that. And within a minute I was out of clinic.such a bad experience for 3rd time.

First they will book you an appointment for any time you want. Once you are there, they will make you wait for hours

This is to review my family doctor, Dr. Ranbir Gill.
I moved to Calgary with my family from BC. I'm extremely delighted to say that I have no regrets using Apex as my home clinic.
Undoubtedly I would give Dr. Gill a 5 star. Extremely understanding, patient, polite doctor. He has always been great whenever me or any of my family members had any issues. What a fine gentleman. Never ever has he been rude or impatient in listening to any health concerns we had since we are here. Always takes time to address all issues.
I would strongly recommend Dr. Gill to any one, without any doubt.

Walked in with my 9 year old son who was in discomfort due to something being his eye.
I did not have his health card with me as it was with his mother.
She sent me a picture of the health card, so I had it on my phone to show the receptionist.
She refused to let us see a doctor without the actual card present. All she realistically needs is the health card # which I obviously had. Totally pathetic to turn a 9 year kid away. It disgusts me.
Luckily I was able to go to another clinic with zero issues about the health card.
If this is how the receptionist treats people, I would hate to see how the doctor acts.

Went there for medical test for my PR. Nurse messed up and I had to wait for an extra hour for no reason. Later doctor told her to let me go.
Also, in the call they told me that they will take care of blood test. However, I got a mail stating that I owe the money for the blood test to Alberta Precision Lab. I later paid but they should have mentioned these things. Overall bad experience.

I tried to make an appointment for what I think is the flu, but even though I had just received my negative COVID results they would not see me in the clinic but only by phone. The doctor never called for the appointment and now I am unable to reach them. Horrible service!

I was struggling with many chronic illnesses. Dr. Toor helped me by referring proper medical treatment and improve my overall health.

The doctor sandeep mangat. She is so arrogant.
We went their, she can't find my reports.
On top of it said she don't have time for reading my reports.
Then why u guys are taking new patient.
This is the most unprofessional thing i have ever heard from a health practitioner.
At least respect if someone is coming to you for help. She spent 10 mins giving me lecture on how she can't find the reports. Waste of time.

I wish I could give them negative ratings. Been to this clinic 3 times, but every time there is a wait time of atleast 45 mins. The front desk staff is definitely very unprofessional, unorganized and with a bad attitude. Would not recommend to anyone, it's a worst clinic.

From being a very good family clinic to being the worst in my eyes, that's how far the apex team have traveled in last couple of years.
I can't believe how rude the doctor's are, before it was the staff and now the doctor's. I think they are playing a fair game in the clinic by taking.turns. I have promised to myself I will not visit apex medical clinic anymore as I have self respect for myself and will not allow any one to treat me like that, Thankyou Apex for providing me the services from last 5 years.

Very bad service. First I waited for an hour and 15 minutes. Then finally I went to go see Dr. Ranbir S Gill and he was very rude and arrogant the whole time from when I met him. Clearly told him what I need and instead he decided to make his own decisions and then blamed me for telling him the wrong thing. Would not recommend going to this doctor or clinic. Ranbir Gill has no idea how to deal with his clients. It’s clear why this clinic has so many fake reviews to bring its rating up.

Quite bad and rude service with both the receptionist and the doctor.
Firstly, the lady booked the appointment with wrong doctor even when I specifically mentioned the doctor's name twice and secondly, how rude it is of that doctor Sandeep mangat to say that it's not your home country for the treatment and how can she say it to my father that it could be Cancer without even having any test performed or checkup in the first meeting. We come to you to get a relief from the pain especially during this hectic routine and if you are unable to help with your job then at least stop using these big scary disease names while we are trying to cop up with the life and finding a better treatment.

Very bad service I waited 1 hour 40 minutes then i got my number and after that I waited another 10 minutes in the room. Staff members are so rude they never smile. I will suggest never go there because lots of walk in clinic in Calgary so you can get same service in other clinic.

The drs don’t care. I had two phone call appointments, both times I was rushed off of the phone and not listened to. They kept cutting me off and talking over me so that they didn’t have to hear everything I had to say. I had things I needed sorted, and the last woman dr I spoke to today said that she “didn’t have time to look at my file”. So I was rushed off the phone Again and no better off than before I spoke to her. She didn’t even say goodbye before she hung up. Now I still need medical advice and that whole day waiting for her call, was a complete waste of my day off.
Furthermore, I went here for years because of the location Being next to my home, the dr I saw said she was my family dr, but on the phone today the dr said that none of the drs there are my family dr, and that I “must have gone to a different clinic”. But I Do know what clinic I went to for years haha. Just so unorganized, I could go on and on but I will stop there.

Money greedy vultures
They get money from health canada for all supplies but they wanted $1.00 for free mask from each patient.
That's called serving community.
If someone doesn't have $1.00 nor mask, they would cancel the appointment and wouldn't allow to see the doctor regardless of medical reason.no empathy.its not a medical clinic but place of ruthless greedy business people.
I recommend NO ONE SHOULD GO THERE!
THEY DESERVE NO PATIENT AND STARVE! GRRRRRRR.

Worst experience both time i visit there.staff are rude and they dont know what is customer service i would choose anyone else but dont go there.at the time of covid 19 they think everyone is infected even if you go there after testing negetive they will tell you to isolate for 10 to 14 days.which no other clinics are doing.

Terrific experience! Nowadays most of the store and clinic providing mask (it’s not about 1$) but they must let people knows that bring own mask with you when you visit our doctor but they didn’t and arguing for a bucks

Doctors are awesome - the reason why the clinic has bad reviews is because of the front line receptionist-
1. When you call to book an appointment they are angry for no reasons
2. When they check your blood pressure and weight.mostly they input wrong number.
3. I had my appointment booked - I was on time waited 1 hour and 45 min and those front line staff were taking walk ins.my doctor put me ahead in row but they didn't notice the change in system
4.they are very rude - inhuman - and provide very very careless answers - do not have sense of emergency and zero customer service.however I must say when you cross this level of rudeness you get to see nice people - all doctors are very professional - Kind and give you the best advise.the only reason why i am putting this review out is so that they know that they need to change the complete staff at the front line.

Terrible service. I am from Quebec. The doctor could not access my files at the hospital in his system, like Albertan citizens, which I can understand. Until I discovered another clinic could access very easily.

I had to go to the hospital to get the papers, but they said I had to wait for two weeks to get them. After explaining the situation, they said if the doctor asks for the documents, they can send them right away. So I went back to the clinic. They requested the documents. After 24h of waiting and many follow-ups, the lady at the clinic admitted that their fax has not been working for the past four days. So I was waiting for nothing. And I lost one day and a half of work because they were not honest with me. Plus, the payment of the consultations. This is very annoying. I can't understand how that lady could lie to me like that. I would have gone immediately to an other clinic, knowing the situation. We don't share the same values of respect and honesty.

Very very bad experience. I do not recommend it at all.
