BEWARE- DO NOT USE THIS TERRIBLE FRAUDULENT SCAM COMPANY! They will come to your home, misdiagnosis your appliance problems, charge you for the service, say they will order parts and come back to fix it but never do. When you call them to inquire about an update on when it’s happening they call you back and yet play dumb, know nothing saying the manager will call back you but no one ever does. This game went on for 2 months and over a dozen calls and nothing- no return call to schedule the repair! Just take your $$ and run!

They offered a partial discount coupon to my wife to take down her poor review - no update on parts/fix - no thanks- they’ll never step foot in my house again!

I used this service once and never will again. I scheduled a technician to visit my house and diagnose a leak in my refrigerator. The technician misdiagnosed the problem, ordered a part, and scheduled another service appointment to fix it. I paid for the initial diagnosis visit and a portion of the part and later service appointment.

When we, with the help of another technician, figured out that the problem was entirely different, I called Appliance Repair Expert back to cancel their later service and to refund me the deposit on that service. They refused to issue a refund after multiple requests. So I have ended up paying for a part I don't need and service I won't be getting, all because their technician wildly misdiagnosed my problem.

I'm not upset about the misdiagnosis. No one is perfect. But for a business to refuse a refund under those circumstances is inexcusable. They won't be getting any more of my business. Please save yourself some trouble and use one of the other appliance repair services with better reviews.

We used this company to fix our fridge. Service tech came out was nice and polite, barely spoke English. He ordered a part for our fridge, which we had to wait 4 weeks for. Part finally shows up, guess what? Wrong part! So we had to pay $100 for the service call, which I'm fine with. But because the part was wrong, we only got $100 back on our $150 deposit on the part. Which I don't think is fair because this company ordered it on our behalf. So I had to wait 4 weeks to find out the part was wrong, and pay $50 out of pocket because they ordered it wrong? When we emailed the company about getting our deposit back, we didn't get one reply, even after 3 emails! Not very professional at all! I wouldn't use these guys again and will definitely not be recommending them to anyone either.

I would not recommend this company as they did not fix the problem with my washing machine after charging me and then having to come back the next day. There still is no solution. When you call them they just say they’ll contact the tech. There’s been no answer from the manager email they provide when you call them. Super disappointed.

So I provide a review and then this company writes to me and says they want me to write to them @manager@appliancerepairexpert to provide them with details on their poor customer service - REALLY - pick up the phone and talk to your customer that you let down - don’t put it on me to connect with you. What happened to customer service is paramount as you say!

Excellent service. My dishwasher was fixed within a couple of days of the problem being reported, and that was after waiting for parts to be delivered, it's now running better than new. Would definitely recommend

The tech was excellent. Really professional and fixed my fridge really quickly. Great service, would definitely recommend!

Do not use this company. The tech tried to tell me that I needed a whole new ice machine part. I had to tell him what part was broken and I had to show him the parts number. I wanted a refund for the deposit because I was able to fix it myself. He said no refund can be issued so I asked him to give me his managers name and number with no reply back

CALL ANYONE ELSE! UPDATE: CALL QUALITY APPLIANCE REPAIR instead! Despite the managers response, I have left several messages which have all been ignored. This is a scam company who acts as a call centre for independent contractors. I have since had to use a different company who only charged half the amount. This has been an extremely disappointing experience. A technician came to my home to repair my fridge and had to return a week later with the part. He tried to coverup the fact that he couldn’t put the back panel on by telling me my five year old fridge was “old” and wasn’t going to go back together the same way. At the time, I had just suffered a broken arm and had skin cancer removed from my face (visible stiches) and trusted that the issue with the panel was minor and the problem fixed. Upon time to pay, I was presented with a tip option, which I found strange for a service call, but obliged to what I thought was $10 (I felt obliged to give) only to discover that it was a $40 tip. I have since called the company several times and have either been ignored, hung up on or told that I would have to pay another service fee of $160 to have it fixed. Despite the 90 policy on the website. I. Addition, I was not offered the $30 discount for first time repair advertised on the website either. I am a single parent and being charged over $400 for work not completed is just plain gross.

Matthew attended to investigate an issue with our electric stove, which had been tripping out. He was friendly and able to fix the issue rather than having to order parts for another day. Would recommend Appliance Repair Expert to everyone.

My AMANA dishwasher's buttons quit functioning, so I didn't want to purchase a new one. The repairman repaired the buttons and saved me money. Joyful!

I have a broken washing machine. I have been strung along for a month now. They don't know where the part is or if it will ever come. The manager doesn't respond, the dispatch is just a phone service person who can do nothing, and the technician doesn't seem to know anything except that the part isn't here yet. They don't communicate proactively. I have to text or call to find out if they are coming and then they say no they are not coming.

LG fridge wouldn't defrost. I wasn't puzzled and called appliance repair. Their professional came on time and immediately rectified the problem. Merci!

The Frigidaire dishwasher broke. 5 years old shouldn't have severe breakdowns yet. My hubby called a repair specialist without hesitation. We had a great specialist come to us and address the issue quickly. Recommend.

A technician was supposed to arrive between 4 PM and 8 PM to examine my microwave oven. He texted at 5: 30 PM saying he'll be there in 15 minutes and asked if there was visitor parking. I said there wasn't but I was able to secure a parking spot for him. He texted saying he'll be there in the evening but did not specify a time. I texted him again at 8: 30 PM as he had not arrived. He finally texted back saying he is working and will come but did not specify a time. I texted him again at 9: 30ish saying he has to be at my place by 10PM as I have to go to bed and get up for work the next morning. He offered to come Saturday. I did not respond. I don't have time to wait for hours and hours or days for a repair to be done and I'm questioning the reliability in this case.

We ignored a noisy Maytag oven. When the door broke, we called a repairman. The crew rectified two breakdowns well. Best advice!

The Fagor dishwasher kept me awake. The appliance repairman came on schedule with all the needed parts. Everything's new. Recommend.

Last Xmas I was hopeless because my fridge didn't work and tons of food would have spoiled! I called Appliance Repair Expert and they helped me the same day. I am endlessly grateful to them.

I originally engaged Appliance Repair Expert to service my washing machine which was demonstrating a drain sensor issue. The technician misdiagnosed the problem and replaced and charged me for a part which did not solve the issue. In the process, the handling of my machines also caused punctures to the dryer venting. My dryer is now also currently not functioning.

All in all I have paid $360 to not have my washing machine fixed and to have my dryer damaged.

I have attempted to contact the manager multiple times with no success and was not contacted back in the period of time which was promised to me. The customer service staff who have been available to take my calls have not been able to offer any solution nor have they been able to provide me with any information as to when the manager would be available. The lack of responsiveness and incompetence of this company will cause me to never recommend them to anyone.

Our dryer stopped working. We decided to try the repair first, as the new machine was too expensive for our budget. Andrew phoned before arriving (always a plus!), Arrived on time, fixed my dryer, helped keep the cost reasonable, and was a nice person the whole time.

Prompt, efficient service. When I asked questions, the tech was very knowledgeable. I didn't think we had such services in Calgary.

Our washer stopped working properly, the tech who came out was very nice. However, they replaced a part that wasn't required to be replaced and the issue was still happening. After having the tech come back out, they pushed our dryer vent tube into a nozzel which split it open. After countless phone calls and email, we have had no luck in reaching management to get this fixed. Very upset and would not recommend as they are not responsive.

The technician quickly diagnosed the problem. He stayed in touch to keep me informed about the situation so it did not create any inconvenience for me. I was surprised to find such a company in Calgary.

Repair of the refrigerator was at the highest level. I am happy that in Calgary we have such a company.

LG Washer had a small leak coming from the bottom. Technician claimed it was a hot water valve causing the leak. He replaced it and was gone in less than 1 hour. He charged me over $290 for this repair. A couple days later, I went to wash clothes and it was still leaking from the bottom. Not happy at all!

When our stove or any other appliance needs service or repair, the appliance repair expert will be the first number I call.

Very prompt. Arrived on the same day that I called to do the diagnosis and came back the following day to install the new component.

Joey was great.he was thorough in diagnosing the problem and great with repairing the Maytag washing machine.he explained everything that he was doing, was clear about the price in advance, and most importantly, was very respectful of my home.he wore boot covers, was careful about where he put his tools and cleaned up after the job was done.

Booked appointment online through chat very efficient. Was able to have someone at my home next day as scheduled on time I actually thought my repair was going to happen that night. They ordered part gave me price for labour which I thought was very expensive but I agreed and they were back the next day prompt and he was in and out again very efficient. And I hope fix works and last happy with a 90 day warranty. Would recommend only down side was the cost but I could just be cheap.

Needed dryer fixed right at xmas time! Used online booking with helpful and responsive agent. Tech showed up within window, was quick, evaluated, and solved issue (new heater). Waived show up fee and total repair and labor was good plus online coupon. Satisfied.

I had a problem with LG gas dryer. Cool guy Joey fixed it same day, he had parts with him already. Very professional movement of washer and dryer (on top) out of the small laundry room in my condo.recommended!

I contacted Appliance Repair Expert for my Maytag washer that was not working. I got an appointment the same day. The technician (Joey) was very professional and identified the problem right away. He was prompt and polite. He fixed the minor repair in under 15 minutes and gave me information about my dryer. I couldn't have asked for any better service, In the future, whenever I need repairs, I will call these guys. Great service and highly recommended. A+

Had issue with fridge re-freezing after de icing and cleaning drain plug and when tech came said common problem now has a new fix because of it original design flaw. Next day came in with part and knock on wood so far so good. Other companies were gonna make me wait 10-15days just to check out before even booking the repair after. Appliance Repair Experts were out same day I reached out and fixed it asap. I couldn't be any more thrilled.

We were trying to get our old Maytag fridge repaired. Was not sure if it is worth buying new one or fixing the old one. So decided to give a call, Joey came in, explained the problem, and advised to go with a new fridge, due to high cost on the part. Appreciate his honesty.

Both washer & dryer failed within a day of each other. Moez arrived as promised on Monday & repaired washer without any parts & advised how to prevent future issues plus offered maintenance advice. Dryer would require s/o parts which didn't arrive until late Thursday & returned Friday with the parts. On taking dryer apart he found an unanticipated problem which he had parts for. Again he offered future maintenance advice.

You never plan on having an appliance break down. And when its something used as much as a dryer, the key is competant service *quickly*. Dan was the first to respond to my request for service. He was courteous and professional on the phone and was able to schedule something the next day at my convenience. They were punctual and thorough. Not the cheapest but to have a repaired LG dryer (with parts) 24 hours after making the call, I'm a satified customer:)
