Armour is the best Insurance company in Edmonton!
My family moved in from Saskatchewan where SGI Canada has fixed rates for Auto insurance so you can guess what a nightmare it was getting an insurance rate that fit into our budget. My point of contact was Brennan who has been extremely helpful, understanding, transparent and highly professional and knowledgeable with all the fine print when it comes to Auto Insurance. We not only got the rate that fit into our budget but got all the answers we needed to make an informed decision.
If you are from Saskatchewan like us, please get in touch with Brennan, you will get all your questions answered and get the best rate for all your insurance needs.
I got quotes from 30 insurance companies from Edmonton, Calgary and even a couple of companies with head offices in Ontario (since I'm from Toronto it felt comfortable getting calls from Toronto brokers, but their rates were out of this world.), before coming to Armour. So, I've already done the work, call Brennan up and check them out, you will be happy you did!

Staff is always great. But I will not go there again as they do not accept cash and then charge you a fee to pay with Credit card. You are the company and cc is part of your business eat that cost. I refuse to support any company that will not accept legal Canadian tender.

Had to argue with them over min coverage. They start you at a min. $2,000,000 coverage while Alberta minimum is $1,000,000. They did change it but I have to change it every year because it renews at $2,000,000.

I've been with multiple insurance companies throughout my adult life and multiple vehicles but for the last 4 years they've been consistently the best option. It's never a hassle and this year especially they've been extraordinary by saving me a TON of money. Thanks Rowena!

My experience with Rowina at Armour has been amazing. Even when she was just looking after my account during my regular advisors vacation she went over and above what I would have expected from an insurance company. She answered my emails extremely quickly and sometimes multiple a day while we figured out my new account changes. Very difficult to get in there at the moment because of all road work due to expansion of the transit system. Individual that assisted us was knowledgeable, but her initial explanation to me wasn't very clear. When she explained it another way everything became clearer. My husband prefers this registry even though there is one closer to our home because it is an easy in and out. They have always treated him right.

Almost non-existent customer service. 9/10 times you call, you get immediately patched through to voicemail. It takes several tries to be able to speak to a human, and not even your broker, an operator. Voicemails will be left unanswered for weeks, and you're left feeling like you have to harass someone just to be able to talk to them. Since insurance related topics are usually time sensitive, you can imagine how stressful it is. I will say that the brokers/other staff are normally polite when you do talk to them, however. Silver linings.

Armour got me a better quote, way cheaper with the help and patience of rowena. I highly recommend her to my friends and family look for her she will advice you what to do.

Awful company. First the broker let my insurance expire without telling me, then found out he wasnt there anymore, that was their excuse, so the broker that took over didnt check my file I guess. Then they said they could "try to send my application in again, but it can take 10 days and they wont accept monthly payments, you'll have to pay in full". I went to MAC Insurance and they got me cheaper insurance, on monthly payments in under an hour! Not impressed with Armour, didnt even get an apology for having no insurance, they said it was my fault. Thanks Kevin at MAC Insurance for making my life a whole lot better and legal lol

Excellent service. Felt we were getting taken advantage of (and we were) at another insurance provider. Rowena was wonderful, and I have no doubt that she'll provide the same great service in the future. We currently have all our cars and house at Armour, and you should give them a serious look too.

I dealt with Rowena Evangelista at the Lethbridge branch, and she was wonderful! My insurance rates with my company had increased and she made the transition over to Armour very simple and stress free! Very kind and great people skills! Highly recommended!

At the beginning I was a very happy customer. But after three years I wanted to Transfer my service to another company because it was a way better rate. Then I started having issues. The problem with armour insurance that no agent would talk to you to resolve your issue unless it's the original agent u worked with. And everytime I call I go to her voice mail and no one would do my change.
So imagine calling for a week every day untill I had to reach them on Facebook to get her to call me back. I will never go back. The one agent thing is very inconvenient.

BUYER BEWARE - STAY FAR AWAY FROM ARMOR INSURANCE.
In April 2018, I called Armor Insurance in order to get a car policy. I dealt with Robin Jarvis, who quoted me $159/month. I signed and set back the paperwork to her through e-mail. Three months went by and no payment was taken from my account. Upon following up with Robin as to why, she informed me over the phone that "she couldn't pull up my previous insurance history" and that because of that, she could only credit me for 4 years of driving and being insured. I had been driving since 2002, so I found this bewildering, especially given the fact that no other insurance company ever claimed this to be the case. Therefore, Robin Jarvis broke the contract she formulated with me three months after April, and changed my monthly rate to $298/month. At the time, I was a 33 year old who had been driving in Alberta for 16 years, without any prior at-fault collisions. She gave me the run-around and told me I needed to provide documentation proving I had been insured in Alberta all those years in order for my monthly premiums to be adjusted, at which time Armor Insurance would credit my account. One of my insurance brokers no longer was in business and it took me almost two months to chase down the documentation I needed. When I finally managed to get ahold of Robin in autumn 2018, to provide the letters she requested she told me, quote: "You cannot expect an insurance company to retroactively adjust your policy. " She furthermore instructed me that I had to pay the remainder of my annual premium in full, which was $3,576 (33 year old, no accidents, driving for 16 years). I did that because in Alberta, you will never win against an insurance company.
When a year was up, on April 20,2019, I cancelled my policy through Armor Insurance, which was specifically with Intact. At that point I dealt with a very wonderful, kind, and professional lady, Lisa Urbano, who reassured me I'd never have to deal with Robin again and how she'd handle my file going forward. She provided me with a reasonable quote of $1659 annually. I told her I would call in a week to two to renew my insurance according to her quote (I had been using public transit to commute to my job downtown in the meantime). Lisa Urbano told me she could pull up my insurance history for 6 years and she was puzzled as to why Robin Jarvis said she could only do 4. Nevertheless all was good too go and I told Lisa I'd come back in a week to two (I needed time to put together the entire annual payment).
I called Armor Insurance to speak with Lisa and she was not available. I was given to a person who quickly spoke her own name, which was "Donita" or "Danita" (I didn't hear it well).
She proceeded to tell me she could not honour Lisa Urbano's quote to me because she "couldn't access it" which is a lie for small children to consume, and told me she needed me to basically provide the same letters I spent months chasing for Robin Jarvis the year before, telling me she wouldn't be able to write me a policy.
I lost it and called Robin Jarvis an idiot, which she is. At that point, Donita told me "Armor insurance isn't the right insurance for me and how she wont' take me belittling her colleague etc etc" and hung up on me. Never mind that her colleague screwed me over, broke her contract with me, and cost me thousands of dollars. Never mind all that!

Lisa Urbano, if you read this - thank you for being professional, and a gem to deal with. I'm sorry I could not do business with you personally because you were away. I'm sorry you are forced to work with such unprofessional people and I hope that you end up leaving this garbage insurance company for someone better.
BUYER BEWARE - STAY FAR AWAY FROM ARMOR INSURANCE.

Bunch of lying self-entitled princesses. I've been with armour insurance for 3 years and they increase my rates after they promise to decrease them for sticking around.

I've got no claims or tickets for auto insurance and they still increase rates year after year.

I ask for documents recently to back up their claims about rate increase, but they will not produce them due to them claiming it is for internal purposes.

Bunch of liars. Go here if you want to waste your money and time.

I just received a quote for my three vehicles. With the "City Employee discount", my total came to $ 3800. This is $725 more than what my currently policy is and it just went up. I have six quotes and Armour is the highest out of all of them. My wife and I have never had an accident in 30 years of driving and only one speeding ticket within the last three years. NO DEAL HERE!

Talked to a representative named Bonita in regards to my insurance policies. She gave me a in-depth review of my policy and went over my coverage and was very thorough trying everything to get me my discounts on my policies.
