After successfully completing a very difficult install of railings for our custom curved stairs, we were delighted with the results. Thanks to Pieter for designing the stairs & railings in a unique way how we wanted and Gary for taking time and installing them flawlessly.
Special thanks to the Calgary installing crew who carried all 3 flights of heavy stairs by maneuvering them to the difficult location without causing any damage to the house.
The job site was always kept clean and a professional standard was always maintained.

We had our existing basement stairs replaced by Artistic Stairs and from the initial consultation and design process with Alex Gawlak, to the installation of the railings by Dan Kress and the final glass install it was a seamless and professional process. The stairs are fantastic and despite the need to coordinate a number of steps with paint and carpeting, everything was on time and well done. WOW Great Job Peter! I call Peter and had my design of my railing in mind, sent him picture and he did exactly what I was looking for. My Railing look awesome in are home, Peter was quick to response came over and took measurement within a few days. I had contact several company and compare exactly the same product and Artistic came in far much better price the quality and value, and professional was great. Peter installer was also awesome clean and efficient and responsive every day. Also having to call the office in Calgary for payment they where great and easy to help me to. So very happy with the new railing and spindles on our stairs. The design by Pieter was a great match with our home decor. Dan was responsible for the installation and was exceptional. He double checked different component options with us and we are very happy with the overall result.

We updated our railings in a reno and Alex was very helpful from the day we walked into the showroom. Very knowledgeable and professional and organized everything very quickly at a very reasonable price. Dan, our installer was great and did a great job paying attention to detail and making sure we were happy with everything. He finished everything in a timely manner and did a very good clean up afterward.

So our “contractor “ did a number on our stairs AFTER Artistic Stairs had done the initial installation. We had no problems with them at all. When we began to undo what the contractor had done and found how horrible and unsightly it was, we contacted Artistic Stairs to try to help us out. Then COVID hit and things came to a halt, but then we contacted Pieter and EVERYTHING changed! He came out to the house, inspected everything, took pictures and most importantly, LISTENED to us. Pieter and the team at Artistic Stairs have been outstanding in helping us rectify this problem. We are thrilled with the result. Artistic Stairs and Pieter and the Team, YOU ARE THE BEST!

I’ve used Artistic Stairs on my last few jobs. Both were custom homes, they were great. Showed up on time, finished ahead of schedule and cleaned up when finished. Dan the installer did top notch work. Definitely would recommend these guys. Thanks Craig and Dan!

Just wanted to share my experience as a home owner with anyone considering using Artistic Stairs as their staircase contractor. In a nutshell, you'll likely get better service and responsiveness from other staircase contractors.

We moved into our new home where the staircase was supplied and installed by Artistic Stairs, during the final stages of completion - they were short a piece of glass (as pictured) and 2 other pieces of glass needed to be replaced as it was chipped. They said they would be back the following week to complete the work.

Fast forward 7 weeks, we still have a piece of MDF as our glass and the damaged glass has not been replaced. Our home builder tried tirelessly to reach out to get them to complete the contract but they've been radio silent.

Do think twice before you select these guys as your staircase trade.

I had Artistic Stairs install three railings in my home. Their selection is great and the instillation done by Dan was seamless. Dan was very professional and provided great suggestions during the process. He also cleaned up everything before he left. Would highly recommend this company.

Had our new railings installed today and I can't say enough about the professionalism and customer service from Pieter and Dan over at Artistic Stairs in Edmonton. We just finished a project with a very complex stair and railing system. We were working with Pieter and I can't say enough about what a pleasure it was to work with him. He always answers his phone, is very knowledgeable, and is a very nice person to work with. He troubleshooted this very complex installation and we are thrilled with how it turned out. Their glass installer Brett did a terrific job with the installation as well. Overall I would not hesitate to recommend working with Pieter at Artistic Stairs - and if you have a glass installation - ask for Brett!

Great stair and railing company to deal with. Pieter Peskens was a very knowledgeable sales rep with good advice and product know how. Product and selections came out on time and were installed perfectly. Overall a solid company to deal with and would highly recommend for any custom project.

We were very pleased with the look of our new stairs and how the mono-stringer, open raiser staircase opened up that part of the house - to cut to the chase, yes I would use Artistic Stairs again in the future. In particular, I would like to single out Alex Gawlak, and even though he was in sales, he acted professionally and timely responded to all my inquiries right through final installation. I would also like to add my thanks to Brett, the highly skilled carpenter responsible for all aspects of installation, including the seamless integration of the new stairs into the existing architecture.

Finishing a basement rail 16 years later. Matt at Artistic was extremely helpful in locating all the newels and spindles required. I thought I would never find the material to match, but Matt was invaluable in outsourcing. He never gave up! Thanks for making my project a complete success!

Service is really bad. I been calling them to finish my job, every week. We paid $38000 for stairs not done properly.i will not recommend to any one.
