I went to this store and later saw the ratings. Without any expectations going in, I had a great experience with Aaliya, my sales person who took her time and listened more than she spoke in her informative, and not at all pushy approach. She also set the expectations, so when I called for updated delivery dates, she was correct and then gave me alternatives, as well as a refund since my choice went on sale after I had already purchased. The delivery guys were great, fast, and flexible. They did not complain about the extra long walk or the walk to the building in -15 degree weather.

Great experience. The sofa looks good and setup was fast and efficient. They didn't have to talk to each other, you can tell they reach picked a role in the delivery and did their jobs super fast. I turned my back for a few seconds, and next thing I knew, the packaging was broken down, folded and taped ready to go back with them.

They weren't even mad that I slept in and their supervisor had them return. The supervisor gave pretty good accuracy on their return time.

Great job in my experience. This is a real review if it looks too good, that wasn't my expectations but they def. Had my pleased.

Clearance items can be attractive because of the price, but make sure you understand that you are buying “as is”, with no returns or warranties. Also, an enthusiastic sales person can let you be talked into buying something of lesser quality, or something that doesn’t quite fit your needs. I hadn’t purchased furniture for quite a few years, and was a little nieve.
Would I shop at Ashley Furniture again? I’m not sure.
The delivery guys, however, were very good.

Shopping for a new couch and Rita was very warm and welcoming. She is very knowledgeable about the products they carry - such as design, construction and sturdiness. She was very helpful with our purchase and we will be happy to come back to see her for future purchases.

I went to Ashley’s Red Deer today to buy an accent cabinet.
I found the perfect one for my needs.
However, they refused to sell me the floor model after I was told that I would have to wait several weeks to have one ordered in. And then because I live Rural it would take another several weeks to have a delivery in my area.

It’s a shame that companies will refuse sales.
I am not impressed. And I will not return.

The service was very good! We found the staff to be very knowledgeable about their beds/mattresses. Nageara was friendly and super helpful. She made us feel comfortable and invited us to try out as many mattresses as we needed. While we tried out mattresses she explained the health benefits and the importance of having the right mattress for sleeping on.
I would recommend Ashley's Nageara and go back for sure. My son Chase is now a proud owner if a King bed and absolutely loves it.
Now I am very interested in the pillows, which we tried while trying the beds. They are amazing!

I'm not a big fan of dealing with sales people. However we dealt with Dennis and Brendan for purchasing a kitchen table and learning about mattresses. They were excellent service and Ashley furniture definitely had much better selection and styles of items over other big stores we shopped at.

Furniture is way over priced for poor quality furniture. I saw a dresser in their showroom already buckling at the back due to cheap materials used. Quality is comparable to Ikea with a much larger price tag.

They don’t honour their vaunted warranty. At least, it’s impossible to get this store to even acknowledge that they offer warranty after you’ve already spent your money. They will play dumb and pretend they can’t even look up your information.

Was fairly happen with the service until it came time for delivery and were told it would be delivered on December 16 so we planned Xmas at our place and then they called us and told us they were changing the date to the 23rd which screwed our entire Xmas plans up. Tried contacting them but they said nothing they could do. Not very happy after spending 6000$ on a couch!

Delivery nightmares! First it would be in that weekend for me to pick up, then scheduled delivery and set for which I paid extra, then, well we’ll call you two days ahead when it gets here. Never told it was a two day indefinite window, I was told I had scheduled delivery. Sales person said, we’ll I didn’t do anything wrong (aside from giving incorrect information). Now no bed in my bedroom because I moved it out in prep for the scheduled delivery. I’ll have to sleep in the basement while my wife who is recovering from a hip replacement is upstairs and have to run up and down the stairs every time she needs me in the night. We purchased a dining room set had it delivered and a chair was defective, they said they would have someone come fix it, then said they would send parts, we went to the store to complain, the manager was rude and lied to us, he said he would get the problem taken care of, then we get a call saying delivery will drop a chair off Dec 22, then got a call driver missed us, then have to rearrange a new delivery date, the biggest gong show ever, shop elsewhere everyone

We arrived not knowing what kind of new bed we wanted. Our sales lady Rita asked what we wanted out of the bed and she was very professional, and found what we wanted. Very pleased can't wait to have a great sleep. Just want to say Thank you Rita for being professional and taking what I wanted to heart and not what you thought would be the best for the financial benefits of the store like many others that I was at today. I do not recommend this place, my recliner was delivered broken 6 moths ago, called and send pictures to guess care the day I received it. They kept ordering the wrong parts. As Christmas was approaching I finally went in to the store and ask if they could replace it instead since the had several in the warehouse. The manager's response was "my hands are tied " guess care will call you back soon. I waited for the call, no response so I called guess care again the person I spoke to was so rude, kept interrupting then accused me of not letting him speak, he wouldn't even let me speak to the manager. When you spend $4000.plus you expect to be treated better. I am still waiting for the right parts to come in. So disappointed with the whole experience I will not shop there again.

Ashley's has one of the weakest price protections out there. Leon's is 60 days and the brick is 30 days after you receive the product. Ashley's is 30 days after time of purchase. 35 days after purchase and 2 weeks after getting my sectional, it is now on sale at 44% off. Bad luck, but it turned a positive experience slightly negative.

Our first experience purchasing a product from Ashley has been a poor one. I purchased a loft bed with 3 storage units. Upon delivery 2/3 storage units were completely unusable, with the third unit (a book shelf) damaged on the top shelf. The ladder to the loft bed has damage where one of the screws was drilled improperly and the bottom ladder rung is cracked. It has been 3+ weeks of phone calls to Ashley Customer Care, many failed attempts at connecting to an agent for support on the online chat, multiple visits into the store and unanswered communication with the store manager to have this resolved. I deeply regret this purchase.

UPDATE- Nov. 01.2021
We finally had a tech come out to the house on 17. Sept. 2021 to look at the damage. We were told new parts would be ordered and would hear further for delivery/repair when the parts arrived. We were called mid October and told that the parts had arrived and the tech was booked for 29-Oct-2021. I was informed we would be told the day before what the timing of the appointment would be. I set aside my Friday, waiting for the tech. Not only did I not get a notification the night before as to when we could expect the technician to arrive, but Iwe didn't receive communication until later Friday morning that the wrong parts had in fact been ordered and a new order would have to be made. The saga continues and my child's clothes remain in a cardboard box on his floor.

Excellent White Glove service. The gents who delivered were efficient and very courteous. I'd give 5 stars except we (delivery men and ourselves) did find a tear in the cover underneath the love seat. It was duly photographed and noted.

We have been looking for furniture all over Red Deer. Ashley Furniture was by far one of the better experiences. The lay out of the store was inviting, open and overall really nice to walk through. Compared to other stores.
Brendon was really great to deal with. Came around, introduced himself and explained the sale then let us walk around to view more with no hassle. He’d check in, answer our questions and continued on his way. No lingering or any of those awkward silences, ya know.
Ashley’s will definitely be one of our first stops next time.
Only downside is the wait times for furniture but you really can’t avoid that right now.

They sold me a 3000$ + sectional, and one of the three pieces were delivered damaged/dirty and appeared to be previously opened as the packaging was different and there was dirt and leaves inside the sealed plastic. Ashley furniture are refusing to replace the damaged/dirty/worn section (even though they have 58 units in stock in Alberta) and are forcing me to have it repaired piece by piece which will take months and still leave me with a used part of the couch. So feel free to come here to pay thousands of dollars for literally broken and used furniture.

They are also deleting my previous reviews which is why I made another one. I see how they get their 4.2 star rating. SCAMMERS!

We bought an expensive bed frame from Ashley a few weeks ago. We paid extra for the white glove treatment. After sleeping on the bed only twice we discovered that the bed frame supports are breaking. We contacted guest care and got the run around. We went directly to the store and still got nowhere. The bed is unusable and we have still not gotten the problem resolved by Ashley. I would definitely not recommend this store to any further customers.

The salesperson Jean was extremely helpful and gave me time to wander. When I asked for a specific chair he found it for me. He then helped me when I was ready to purchase the chair. It will be delivered promptly and I will be able to check out the chair before the delivery personnel leave. I also appreciate the return policy if the chair does not meet my expectations.

My husband and I made a shopping appointment for some items we planned to purchase. When we arrived at the store, we met with Brandon. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. We have not received our items yet but are very excited to! We purchased 3 bedroom sets and a couch for our new home, and decided to purchase their 'white glove' service for it. Very well priced for that service, better than other furniture stores we have consulted with.

This place was trash. They tried to deliver a crashed couch 2 times. Then after 5 months they deliver it with a hole. We had no choice but to excepted it. Then they gave us 200 dollars on a gift card for this place. Which we can’t use because we want nothing from this place.

Joe was awesome, friendly, informative and knew the products well! He was very patient and playful with my children. He researched a few viable options for mattres for myself and my kids. He's very accountable, followed up and overall he's now my go to guy there. He definitely went the extra mile and I would recommend him. The mattress are also a way better deal than the Brick and in my experience better quality. I will admit though that there furniture is of less quality on some items.

I feel uncomfortable whenever I'm in there as each employee hounds you. Also, whenever I purchased furniture from there, it was never in mint conditions. There was always some slight wear on the furniture (finishing peeling on a coffee table and many areas that needed to be touched on the bedroom set).

I went into Ashley's looking for a recliner and an area rug. Joe helped me find the items that I had picked out online, but after listening to what I wanted for a colour scheme and style he showed me the perfect recliner to go with the area rug and my existing furniture. I was very happy with my experience.
Edit: I went back and got the matching sectional. I am very happy with their quick and easy service.

Don't buy from these guys. Spent 11000$ moved and have had no furniture or beds for my kids. They told me they could do things asap. Was told a delivery day and then it got pushed back another week. Save your money and buy somewhere else. Wasted 3 weeks what a going show. Nothing but lies and now want to steal $1100 from me for something they can't provide. Chris, Rob and Jesse only have one goal to get your money. Once they get it your nothing as a customer to them anymore. Very bad business practice

Childs bedroom set arrived and several pieces were broken and the quality of the product was not what we were shown in the store. We have been waiting months for replacement parts and nobody seems to be on the same page or know what's going on. We have to call or email at least 5 times to get a reply! For the price of the products, the quality is not reflected and the service is terrible. We had been warned by friends not to shop at Ashley Furniture and I would like to warn others of the same. You can spend a lot less and get a lot more at other furniture stores.

Tried to order a sectional here, the sales person told us it would be 2-4 weeks delivery and to call to place the order. We called a few times throughout the day, but no one at this store picked up, so we placed the order online.

The sectional arrived over 3 months later, the main section was badly damaged (Fabric was torn and frame was barely holding together) but the delivery people tried to bring in the chaise section on its own and return the main section (What are we going to do with a sectional chaise on its own?). They struggled with the stairs, so decided to take the whole thing back.

They called us two days later to reselect (Pick some other furniture). We told them we would go to the store and pick some new pieces, but they told us that we had to pick right away and didn't have time to go to a store to see things. They told us the only other option was cancelling the order. We didn't want to buy furniture sight unseen, so we told them we'd like to cancel and order again after looking in store. They told us if we cancel there's a 10% restocking fee, so we'd have to pay a 10% fee without ever receiving a product from them.

I didn't think this was reasonable and told them so. After a lengthy back and forth, being hung up on twice, finally being offered the option of picking pieces in store (I declined, as this was too frustrating by this point), they started calling it a 10% administrative fee and that there was no way they could waive it. They blamed the broken piece on the delivery team (Even though the piece was well wrapped and carefully handled by the delivery guys), then blamed us for placing the order online (Even though we tried to place it in store).

I continued to refuse the fee, and in the end they did agree to return the money. But it was a long and painful process, after months of delays. We were so excited that this sectional was finally arriving, only to be disappointed and frustrated again and again by this company. Extremely unfriendly to would-be customers. No one should be treated so poorly when they're just trying to shop with you.

Note, on the phone they were trying to push us to select a $600 couch as the replacement for our $2400 sectional, they rely on you not doing your research and just try to extract your money as fast as possible while delivering as little and as late as possible.

I purchased the extended warranty for my couch which I thought was awesome as the stitching kept letting go on the cushions. When I called in a third time for the same issue they said that it wasn't covered by the warranty. When I tried to question her she hung up the phone. I then called back and was on hold for almost an hour just to hear another person say it wasn't covered under the warranty. I explained to her that in the past we have had it replaced with no issues. She explained that she couldn't help us any further.
I will no longer be shopping there again.

Great experience buying from Joe. Not pushy, honest, knowledgeable and a pleasure to talk to.
He helped us match colors and styles and the results are great. Definitely the best interaction I've had with a salesman. Love the furniture and will buy more from Joe in the near future.
