Associated Cab

I pre ordered two cabs for 9: 25 they showed up at 9: 05 and had to wait 2 minutes for us to get our shoes on. The one cab driver started the timer and charged us before we got into the car. The first cab driver was amazing, super nice and did not rip us off. Both cabs drove to the same place for drop off i ended up paying 15$ extra for the second cab because the cab driver did this. And then he proceeded to give me lip and attitude when i didnt tip. Will deffinately be calling other cab companies from now on. Super disapointed.

I always use alberta gold/associate cab but tonight, I had the worst masculinity cab driver, he asked my bf if I knew how to cook correctly and other things.
When he realized I was paying for the cab his attitude changed very quickly.

Thursday may 4 @ 7: 00pm

Placed order for cab and repeated address to the dispatcher a couple times. She argued with me about where I was calling from and had a bit of an attitude. 15 minutes later I watch my cab drive to the wrong business and drive away promptly after (passed me twice). I called the dispatcher back after he left and she proceeded to tell me I gave her the wrong address. She was very rude and clearly not very good at her job. Associated cabs in Calgary set the bar high fortunately now I know what local cab company to avoid.

Very bad drivers roaming all around the city. I was turning left taking exit from Kingston Drive street and their taxi was going almost 65+ speed in 50km/hr zone at 1: 14pm on 20th April 2023. Exact location-856J+39M Red Deer, Alberta. I was unable recognize the car number or taxi number but I’m sure he was alone with no customers in car.

Line is always busy. You have to wait 10 minutes before dispatcher picks up the phone. Then, he hungs up while you're still talking. Worst, you have to wait 30 minutes for the cab to arrive.

Car 89 best driver ever. He even over the five minute mark for me and my drunk gf. Everyone should be like him, he explained and still waited for us and was friendly. He was very accommodating.

It's a large company with a lot of moving parts. It seems to be much less people oriented and more money oriented than I remember from 2019. Not sure what changed with leadership but the Hoffe part of it that I've known was always solid and oriented appropriately. I didn't like the dispatchers I spoke with nearly as much as the previous ones I've known.

Started using a taxi in the last few weeks. Its a good service when you need to use it. Pleasantries and kindness go both ways. When offered, the extra help is very much appreciated as I walk with a cane.

The lady who booked the cabs is so rude and don’t even talk to us properly and she was so rude, and we were waiting for one hour, because of the their delay we missed our bus to Calgary we called the lady 3 times, she was so rude all the times and the driver was so rude, 1 hour it’s a long waiting time, please don’t book these cabs, they are so rude and undisciplined.

I used to use this cab company before 94 cabs came to red deer. I will NEVER cab through them again.the drivers are 9 times out of 10 ignorant. I’ve had them yell at me, I’ve had them deliberately take much longer routes than necessary despite asking for a specific route, I’ve had them completely ignore me.my mother has also had a bad experience with this company on multiple occasions.the list just goes on. I choose 94 cabs now.their service is top notch! Dispatch is so kind and ALL of the cabbies are absolutely wonderful.to boot? They have tap on their debit machines! Definitely give 94 cabs a try if you’ve had a bad experience with associated:)

They have good service they talking very polite to me when I call them they are very friendly and they come fast in 5 minutes I am happy with there service.

Ridiculously slow. Called cab, they didn’t send it, waited an hour (over what they said the wait would be), called back and they said that “someone took my cab”. Quite impossible since I was the ONLY person at the location. Do yourself a favour and call ANY other cab service.

A nearly two hour wait for a cab. It would have been faster to just walk to my destination. The city killed Uber for this joke of a taxi company?

I told them the address and they sent their driver to a red deer location (no big deal, just a misunderstanding). When the driver called me, I explained that it was a misunderstanding and that I was in Innisfail. After hanging up, they left me to wait for another 30 minutes before I called dispatch again, who rudely made it sound like this was my issue and I should have resolved it myself. How is telling the driver the correct addy not resolving it myself? And why wouldn’t the driver had told me that instead of just hanging up on me? And then instead of a simple apology the dispatch lady just acted like a cab ride cab with them was a privilege. Just expecting basic customer service but this company fails to deliver that. Wont be calling them ever again.

The cab drivers were awesome.
Dispatch, is not so nice and threatened to not send a cab when I called a second time to check on timing of said cab. Will probably use another company next time, truly, she was awful.

Today I was waiting for a taxi for one hour, a message came with the car number 29, I got out within 30 seconds, and the car turned around and left, I ran after it and waved, but it did not stop.what a service! I had to wait for a taxi for one hour in the cold, so that he would not turn around and leave? ! I had to walk home to the other end of the city.terrible service!

There not to bad. I mean they definitely can learn to be more time efficient and not have people wait hours just for cab to show up hire more ppl

I do not recommend anyone to used this cab company the dispatcher was very rude.
I’ve called and requested a cab pick up downtown for myself and my 1 year baby the weather is below-17 plus wind chill brings down to low feels to -25.
She told me the cab don’t go there it goes across the street so I said well can you send one there I go there now she told me no she not sending us a cab. And my baby was crying cause her hands were so cold. Even thou she had two blankets on of her. Then I called another cab company they told me we worked with association cabs and no I cannot sent you a cab.

Like seriously people can died in this type of weather especially a baby who welling to pay $$$ to get home and they refused.
We didn’t even do anything wrong why do we deserve this type of treatment.

So people for your child safety or elderly do not use this company.

Very rude and disrespectful I always order a cab 1/2 hour before said appointment and they are always late and do not give me the full amount of change but my son is in a wheelchair so sometimes I don’t have a choice

45mins and I couldn't even get an answer to my cab that was supposed to come. Dumb. I couldn't even cancel!

Contacted their customer support and was treated with nothing but rudeness. Basically was told to come do their job for 1 day and see what it's like. Which definitely fixes the problem right? Instead of trying to help their customer they're on the defense and tell people to come do their job for them.

Every Single time i call to get a cab the people that handle the phone are the actual WORST customer service reps i have ever had the unfortunate event of dealing with in my life.

I tend to not care for the drivers but tonight at 9: 45pm I was in the taxi 119 and I had the worst experience. My driver was SPEEDING, ignored me, TEXTING AND DRIVING, TALKING ON THE PHONE and the whole car smelt so bad it gave me a headache.

WARNING to all who use this service:
The cab driver definitely tried to go in the opposite direction we needed to travel to charge us more for the cab ride. He did this 3 times during our ride home. He must have assumed we were both drunk, so he could take advatage of it. I caught him all 3 times, he never once used a gps, never apologized and the worst part is I only lived a few blocks away so it was easy and close by - so it was obvious what he was doing. After the first time he tried to go in the wrong direction, I corrected him. By the second time I just started to give him step by step directions on every turn until we got home.

When I called the company to let them know, they only said a manager will call you - which they never did.

I warned all my friends that night to NOT use them!

We've used the company just last month prior to this incident, and they booked us in for the wrong time to be picked up. Thankfully we called back after it was 15 mins passed to ask where our cab was. Otherwise we would have waited hours.

Due to these two incidents, I do NOT recommend them.
