Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church

Despite the comments that it is not an Orthodox church, see what style it was built in, what kind of icons there are and which way the doors face and which way the altar faces. Anyone with a little knoledge will understand that this was once an Orthodox church or was meant to be, but it is Catolic church now. With all due respect.

I walked near cathedral because there are very beautiful landscape.
When I came inside this cathedral I was impressed very ambient atmosphere inside.
There are very kind and helpful staff.
I think this is a nice spiritual place for people who wish to have calm atmosphere and think about faith and spiritual themes.

Great parish with a great priest who has a wonderful family, but I might be kind of biased. It’s been my home since June 2021.

Had a wedding, and 2 funeral services and mass service for both my grandparents at this church. Their church. It's lovely and even during covid everyone had space since it was just immediate family there. Everyone is nice and it's really big inside. Very beautiful artwork inside.

I go to the church every Sunday and it’s not only a place where people can pray, but it is also a great place to meet Ukrainian people and learn about our culture, language, traditions and especially food, which is always awesome!

Attended the special mass on Sunday which had beautiful singing by the choir and was delivered half in Ukrainian and other half in English. The service was followed by a typical Ukrainian luncheon (usual nominal charge) that was well supported by the community. We enjoyed the event and would encourage others to partake in future events.

Attended Pyrogy Supper and Bazar. The food was amazing and great time in a lovely church with fabulous people. Thank you to all the volunteers and people who made it a great experience.

One of the most, if not the most beautiful church in Calgary. For all those who love the Catholic Bizantine rite. Lovely and caring Ukrainian community.

Without a doubt the most beautiful church in Calgary! Well worth a visit if you're looking for a place of worship that actually feels sacred!

Even though I have NEVER been inside, I often park my car here and watch the planes coming in over the city, as the area and the Church itself are beautiful

They host an incredible Ukrainian perogy dinner every year, with a craft sale, frozen foods and a delicious hot meal for a very reasonable price. Yes, the lineups have gotten longer every year, but it's worth the wait. The church is beautiful, the volunteers are wonderful, and the atmosphere is festive and bright.
