ATB Financial

I have been a customer of ATB Financial for the past two years. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about my financial advisor Kelly Rudan, however there are very few positive things to say about this branch.

Just this evening I pulled into the parking lot at 6: 58pm, two minutes before closing time. Upon exiting my vehicle, I made eye contact with one of the employees as I rushed to the door. That employee fled to the back of the branch and out of sight while the doors locked.

Wednesday evening is one of the few days that I as a small business owner can complete a deposit. If you as a branch are open until 7pm, keep your doors open until that time. I have never felt this level of disrespect at a financial institution. Absolutely horrendous.

Not all experiences are like this one. I have enjoyed incredible customer service from three specific employees over the years. Wait times are typically longer than I would like (often only one employee working with a lineup of 3-4 clients) but I have been patient. This is one I will not let slide.

The best thing about this branch is Nevil patel very knowledgeable went there today to apply for credit card had few issues not only nevil solved the issues but also gave some good advice like a brother does. Thank you Nevil again

They don't have any experience to help clients they don't care what clients problem not happy with this branch also person name Rajaa is one of the worse teller I got help.

Extremely poor customer service. We have been doing banking with ATB for 15 years and never had this kind of experience at any branch but this time at Windermere branch where we just started going for past few weeks as this branch is closest to us now. But we have decided that we will never visit this branch ever again.
Made us feel and even said it on our face that they are doing favour to us by depositing cheque at the branch and tried to educate us that why to bother coming bank to deposit cheque if we can easily do by ourselves through internet banking.
In the past we have met some great people there who were very professional, helpful and friendly but unfortunately this time wasn’t the same.

Very helpful staff. Rajaa was very helpful and ended up staying late to help get my deposits done. Branch manager Karen has been extremely helpful with the service.

STEVEN is very professional and efficient for helping me with my business Master card. I’m very happy with him. Highly recommend it

I extremely not recommend this branch, Windermere location. Staffs are careless, ofcourse not all. I really hope one of the Managers can read the review. Anytime I make a deposit here, there should be some errors. So frustrated.

Fancy building and wonderful look different from other ATB I have been to. As fancy as this building and the interior decoration, I will not recommend this branch of ATB unfortunately.
I was at the branch to deposit cheques and no one was available to help. Only one teller attending to a customer and the other staffs were just there unable to come and help. Highly disappointed

Fancy customer service desks but only 1 person working the other 2 CSA seemed to have zero interest in helping me and more interest in thier paperwork. Not my branch and I'll never be back

Avoid at all costs. I've had the WORST experience here. I don't normally name names in reviews but Rob Gill at this branch in particular has a horrible attitude and 0 customer service skills. After reaching out to him multiple times during COVID as he was the only contact I had at the branch regarding reinvesting my personal RSP and never receiving a reply or call back, I was redirected to another FA to assist with closing our old Community account and opening a new one under a new name and with our new signing officers. After several weeks went by nothing was done. I was promised things would be resolved by a certain day and 3 or 4 days later only after multiple voicemails and emails did I get a reply back (not from Rob though, still waiting on him to acknowledge we exist) saying they were still working on it. My personal financial needs still haven't been addressed on an investment that matured over a year ago. I can't imagine how poorly they treat customers with a smaller account balance. Stay away from this branch.

I don’t think I will ever visit this branch again for my banking requirements. We didn’t appreciate how the teller interacted with us for a banking error that we were experiencing with one of our debit cards. There is a way to talk with clients, they really need to be trained in customer service, I have never experienced such a disappointing interaction with an ATB employee.

Oh and when I told the employee that I am disappointed with their behaviour, they started justifying and also told me that they do not appreciate me telling them how to do her job. Instead of this, they should have thanked me that I didn’t lodge an official complaint against them and just spoke with them directly for their behaviour.

This branch, ugh. I went to deposit cash and the lazy teller had me use the machine when I told her that I need to use the money right away. It was such a hassle when I got to my appointment as they prefer transactions through card especially during this pandemic.
Mood is ruined early effing morning.

Employee at this branch have no clue what they are doing. Pulling out the credit report without checking all the documents after pulling out the report asking for the documents which u can't produce (spoken about this before pulling).

My friend reference this branch, totally disappointed. The company should develop a procedure when they should take a credit check, not just asking the customer constant, got fooled

Employees at this branch have no clue what they are doing. Do not understand basic banking laws / rules - despite being bankers. Told me false information and denied services based on false info / understanding. I went to a chartered bank and had zero issues.

This is the worst ATB branch in Alberta! Every time you deal with staff in location or even on the phone they are incompetent, and always creating more issues with there mistakes.

I want to deposit cheques via the app during COVID-19 crisis and can't do that. It's annoying because it's the right time to make things easier for customers, not difficult!

Went there today to deposit a bank draft in my girlfriend's account and they ladybi dealt with had a great attitude and was very personable, helpful and accommodating.

This bank has a great motto “if you want something done go to a different bank”. I assure you this bank does not use the motto “working bank” like other ATBs. As a whole ATB is amazing, just don’t use this branch trust me.

The front staff are amazing. They remember you by name and are very caring and personable. Would always highly recommend for personal business use.

The business side is probably the worst people to deal with. They take a "wild wild west" approach. You will be assigned an account manager of whom you'll never hear from again, and they will never stay on top of their accounts or the happenings. I had a frozen account and it was nearly impossible to get this situation rectified if you're not downtown or it's not during weekday business hours.
God forbid you ever need assistance when business is slow. I spoke to Jammy and was misled to believe I would receive assistance and have a plan in place. The first thing asset management said was they will send me a default letter, and then they froze my loans and credit cards. All this while I was still able to pay the loan, was just interested in a possible restructuring of some sort.
The business side doesn't care about you and they certainly do not have any semblance of customer service.
A serious bout of training and proper procedures should be put in place on the business side.

Feel like scammed, why they didn't tell me there would be a fee when did transfer at the branch?

Friendly and professional staff who are thoughtful and proactive in dealing with financial matters. Customer service is not just displayed as a slogan on their wall - they practice it everyday!

This bank and especially Edmonton's windermere branch is the worst we've have had yet! Their online banking system is straight out of the stone ages they don't even update your accounts over the weekend so you know how much money you have. They don't care about their customers or return your phone calls. It took three calls to the branch to get a call back.

Wow! This is hands down the best bank I've ever been with. The bank itself is beautiful, the front staff was so welcoming. The banker that helped me, Gavinder Gill, was extremely knowledgeable and had my accounts set up in less than 30 minutes! I would definitely recommend this bank.

So many great people work here.

I just moved away from TD (worst bank ever) and moved all my business and personal accounts here and couldn’t be happier.

ATB is seriously a special gem for Albertans. They actually seem to care about you and even will go out of their way to help. I’ve used their meeting rooms for quick calls and business meetings when in a pinch, I’ve made business calls from here and had their always stocked teas. I really feel relaxed here.

Thanks so much to everyone that works here in the very painful transition. I’m so happy I made the jump.

With that said.
It’s not the fault of this branch. So I still gave it five starts. But ATB does really need to fix some of the bugs and slowness in their online banking portals. It’s sort of a joke compared to the big banks.

Also there are many many missing items from the bill pay system. And adding them seems to take forever. No idea why.

This is an odd branch no counter or typical bank feel. Great friendly staff. Helpful and quick.

Always a pleasure to visit. Everyone at this location has been friendly, helpful, and quick to help me with my banking needs.
