Atlas Pizza & Sports Bar

Normally this place is good but my boyfriend informed me him and his friends who are very sweet and non confrontational. But they were charged an extra corona bucket that they are adamant they never ordered but said their server never took it off the bill. And they ended up paying for 4 corona buckets instead of 3 originally

Great service came in with the New Year one of the best places to enjoy every time I have come in busy or not they really have great service every time I visit had a wonderful experience it feels like home. Away from home

I actually placed an order via Uber eats because my car wouldn’t start. I typically order from Atlas all the time. This time my chicken wings were terrible I’ve had 3 out of this box… one was pink inside, others completely overcooked and the other one I ate was covered in salt… I’m not sure what happened tonight. I am very disappointed.

Ordered 2 med pizzas. Very disappointed. The sauce was in huge blobs threw the meat pizza in and thin cheese. That is definitely not what we experienced before. We had very good pizzas a few months ago. I won't be ordering again.

Tasty beef dip, Jeff loved his pizza. Service was quick and friendly (appearantly slow service is a common comment). First time I've been, would definitely be back for pizza next time. No issues with a recommendation, the place was slammed and the ladies on the floor killed it

Calgary has horrible pizza in general, but of the horrible topping under the cheese pizza' Atlas does it best! The sauce they use is defferent in a good way and like I said its good for a horrible style of pizza.

Super good pizza and some nice beers. Lots of TVs to catch the game but. One, and just one waitress was so childish, lacking knowledge of the specials, did not remember our order and had to fix the bill three time was hard to deal with. It was explained to us the she was really busy, excussing her from the problems and that she was trying. There were 8 people in the restaurant. I will still return as this is a Calgarian staple, but we will be looking for seating in a different section. Eat on Calgary

Awesome pizza, amazing sauce. In my mind there is a little old lady cooking it in small batches guarded by her grandsons to protect the recipe.

This is the place that is a hidden gem. Once you have the pizza there is no going back to anywhere else. Also besides the amazing food you have amazing service.

Very good, happy, friendly service and staff with good sense of humour. Food was excellent and hot. Very hot, like it should be. Kudos! Took time though to get food. Which, if you remember what restaurants of the 80's were like ('good food takes time' was the motto) you'll enjoy this place. It will give you time to catch up with your dinner pals or time to watch the hockey game on one of the zillion giant TV's and not feel like you're being rushed so they can turn the table. Have eaten here a few times and the experience has always been consistent.

Always heard about Atlas but never went until recently this month. Love the pizza and the wings are underrated. Will definitely be back.

Great pizza. The rest is hit or miss, but with the Advent of delivery apps I can get the pizza anywhere in the city now. And even a few places that aren't, technically, in the city.

I have always enjoyed Atlas, great little hole in the wall, been eating there since I moved here. Never disappointed. Great food an service.

Lots of. Booth seats, clean and organized. Atlas is famous for the pizza - my personal favorite local Pizza. Our waitress was very professional, personable and efficient. There is a sports Pub atmosphere and VLT units for those wishing to partake.

The last few times the quality/taste was lacking! A few of us ordered it twice in last week- Pizza was very soggy and tasteless sauce both times.couple of employees who answer the phone, have zero customer service, impatient and very short on the phone. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars

Heard so much about the Pizza from here. I ordered a 3 meat pizza today and it was awful. Crust was soggy.overall very greasy.very little cheese. And wow way too much sauce which seemed like just a generic sauce. Never again. I can't believe the great reviews you get on the radio.you don't deserve it this time.

First time visiting today and the comments about the best Calgary pizza are correct. The pizza was delicious, well prices (toppings vs price is most important). A nice pub menu it seems and I look forward to going back many more times

A friend brought pizza and ceasar salad over for dinner. It was the first time I’ve had food from Atlas and it will definitely not be the last. If I’ve had better pizza and salad I’m not sure where. Normally I can eat a lot of pizza but was only able to eat two slices despite wanting to eat more.

Will never visit this establishment again and will be for sure sharing our experience with all our friends and family. Came to order pizza for TAKEOUT and was harassed to show ID and vaccination status just to order a pizza to take home to eat? ! Sorry not one other establishment we have visited for TAKEOUT has required to see this information since the vaccine mandate came into play. Now we are fully vaccinated and have this information and are willing to show this information if we decide to dine in, but it’s the principle of the matter and will take our business elsewhere that follow the rules accordingly and are happy to have our business. You would think during a time where small businesses are struggling you wouldn’t be turning away paying customers. Do the skip the dishes and door dash drivers need to show their vaccination/ID to pick up food each and every time? I find that highly unlikely.

Had a great pizza and some drinks while watching the game. The service was friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was not too busy but comfy feeling. Lots of tvs to watch games on and even played a game or two of pool. Prices are great too. Will be back again soon.

We usually order from here quite a bit. The last few times including today were absolutely horrible. Pizza had barely any sauce. Lasagna was just a ton of pasta in water with no sauce and no flavor. Poutine was cold and disgusting. We live 5 minutes away. Need to find a new place for pizza

I am disappointed to be writing this review as I think it is especially important to support local businesses during these tough times of the pandemic. However, I cannot recommend ordering takeout from Atlas Pizza due to mediocre food and it’s service.

I’m not sure whether they were just having a bad day or whatnot, but the staff that we interacted with during our pickup transaction was very unfriendly from arrival. As we approached coming inside to pay (wearing a mask of course), the staff member informed us in a very condescending demeanour to not come inside and to proceed with the transaction outside. I respect and appreciate any pandemic guidelines (outdoor transaction as the only customer?) that they might be following, but there is no need to be speak so rudely.

Though the standard of customer service wasn’t a good impression, we were excited for our 45-minute pizza order because of these great reviews. If you enjoy a very cheesy pizza, I recommend Niko’s Pizza (Downtown) or Crispy Crust Pizzeria in the SW for better quality and value. I do not recommend the pizza here.

As a first time customer, unfortunately, this will certainly be the last.

Put a bad review a few years ago, as at that time it seemed that Atlas had stopped trying, maybe that's what happens when you're a neighbourhood institution. Happy to say they've upped their game, a lot! There's a lot more competition in the area now, pizza is very good again as is service - and I am very impressed with how they've responded to the covid pandemic re table placement, barriers, pick up protocols and delivery.

I miss the old Atlas that had the amazing food and stellar service.

I used to think this was the best pizza in town and raved about their food. The last few orders I have received have been either overcooked or low quality. Wings were way overcooked, lettuce in my salad was brown and the service is just not what it used to be. I am weighing this opinion over the last 4 visits, it was consistent across the board.

I have listened to the ad's all year about the veal parmigian on the radio. There is a reason why they spend money advertising it folks!

Atlas Pizza was my favourite pizza in all of Calgary and that’s quite a feat. The homemade beef pizza sauce and the baked on cheese crust layer is iconic of Atlas and is super delicious. However, over the years any time I went-which was a special trip, as Atlas is far away from my home—it was a flip of the coin on whether the pizza was going to be rock solid or lackluster (in terms of flavor, no iconic cheese crust, soggy, greasy, etc).

Besides the pizza being inconsistent, the largest red flag of Atlas was the dishware and cutlery given to customers. I’d say on memory of my last five visits, only one visit had clean dishware and cutlery. I would be served with baked on food on my plates and forks. I would then ask for a new plate from my server but I was given a slightly better plate that still had food baked on from more than one occasion. It was disgusting. Because the pizza was so good and had such a legacy, while being served the pizza I would push the thought of the dirty plates and forks out of my mind and enjoy what was before me.

The last straw was taking my fiancé with her parents to Atlas for her birthday because of how we raved about the pizza. This was our experience: dirty plates, dirty forks, rude and inattentive service (had to wait over 20 minutes to get our waitress’ attention to get another drink when it wasn’t busy at all), bland pizza, and the special topping we received on our pizza was a big, black, long hair. Disgusting and unacceptable. To my memory, Atlas remade the pizza that had the hair on it (as they should) but we were pretty upset and disappointed especially taking my fiancé’s parents who have never tried Atlas before.

I wrote my experience on the Atlas website but never got a response back. I was done with them.

Could things be better? I’m not sure, but I would say it’s your judgement call on whether Atlas’ standards of cleanliness is okay with you. I hope Atlas improves because they have a wonderful pizza, but when the consistency isn’t there and it feels like you’re not welcomed or appreciated, the pizza isn’t worth the travel or hassle.

Save your money and go to a place that respects that not everyone can wear a mask for medical reasons. Bylaws state there are exemptions for a reason.

Its a great place, iv dined in and had takeout, its all ways been great, wanting to keep going back

Yesterday was our first time we came to that fine restaurant. But It is obviously not the last. We had a good time with the generous service, with the magnificent cuisine and booze and with the modest price. We will surely go back there soon.

Great tasting pizza! Lots of sauce, loaded with real mozzarella cheese. I think crust was perfect just crispy enough but not much. I usually don’t eat the crust pizzas, but I loved there’s!

This spot is worth trying. They serve large portions for convenient rates. Regularly well organized and with excellent character. Would recommend to others.

Crust was extremely good, pizza was a little plain for what it was but the tomato sauce was good, still on the expensive side.

I haven't been to Atlas in years, it was great to see some of the same staff from 20 years back are still there, the food is still amazing and EXTREMELY well priced! Highly highly recommend

Best pizza in the north for sure! Loaded with toppings and cheese but still crispy on top. Love it!

I have been ordering pizza from Atlas Pizza for 30 years or more and tonight I ordered the same pizza I always order, and it was the worst pizza I have got in the 30 plus years. The crust was like cardboard and hardly any sauce, the 2 things that make a great pizza I think. I guess 1 bad pizza in 30 years is not so bad. I'll still keep on ordering pizza from my favorite pizza place, Atlas Pizza u guys rock!

These guys take care, took care, and are always there. Amazing during this moment in time. Oh yeah, and one of the most iconic and favorite pizza/ everything else joints in town. Killin it!

If you don't care about getting your money's worth then go ahead and place your order. My med pizza was the size of a dinner plate but tasted not bad. The wings are very small and definitely not worth a dollar a piece! Would I ever order again? I'd say no!

I'm spending a lot of time out of town last time I was heading out I made sure to stop in grab a pie when I ate it the next day cold best feeling in the world. The memories came flooding back I gave a slice to a good friend got a yeah that's pretty damn good. I was holding onto the box on my desk as a prize all day legit you have to eat here
