Another very bad experience, was helping my my mom finding what she needs, ‘Lucas’ was very rude chatting in the corner with 2 more staff about ski passes bla bla bla instead in being in the floor helping customers, when did ask his help he looked at me as I am disturbing his conversation and refused to help me he was very unrespectful I did tell him instead of chatting with the staff while customers needs your help I did ask about his name and told him I am not happy, he did give me his name I told him that I will write a review about my bad experience did never hear I am sorry, his answer was go write that review he didn’t care at all
When I asked to talk to the store manager they said he is the assistant manager what a leader and what behaviour
The head office should look at further education for their floor staff to ensure that everyone feels welcome and helped because that’s what they are paid for not standing and having public loud conversations
I will not even give one star
I am a local I use to come to this store for years I got all my camping and backcountry gear from this store in Banff previous manger was very helpful all the time that’s why I prefer to get all my gear from here but the rude Lucas should be fired
This is unacceptable I will make sure everyone know about my experience
If the management will not contact me I will make sure I will share my experience in the social media and all platforms

I showed up five minutes before closed, and they assisted me with no hesitancy! They had exactly what I wanted, and the staff even gave their own experience with the product I was purchasing!

Echoing other comments about staff being not attentive and chatting with each other when customers are obviously looking for something. I wasn't recognized when I walked in, and only when I grabbed two shoes to the counter to ask for my size to try on did someone help me. Then I went to the upper level to find some winter clothes. I wanted to buy a pair of trousers but had no idea about the color options and couldn't find anyone there to help me with that. So I ended up buying a jacket and a pair of shoes, and did the trousers shopping elsewhere.

I had an excellent experience with the customer service at Atmosphere Canada. Their useful advice helped me find what I was looking for.

Try to charge more than the tag price and refuse to correct the error. The staff was rude and claimed “It is what it is”. Thumb down.

We visited Atmosphere Banff yesterday. Luke attended us. He was very helpful, patient, & cheerful. He guided us with our choices of shoes. We observed that he did the same to other customers.

Its one of my fave spot in Town been in town for 20 years love the place and the staff just great.

Decent range and staff who were attentive to customers, however all of that was overshadowed by said staff using anti-trans slurs while having a loud, public discussion amongst themselves. Perhaps management should look at further education for their floor staff to ensure that everyone feels welcome. In the meantime, shoppers may wish to take their business to more inclusive stores.

They did not tell us that the bear spray was a final sale item and did not make us sign a waiver when we bought it. We didn't use it (it wasn't even unwrapped) and we came to return it. When we did, they gave us a lot of attitude. Although the manager did not say it directly, he made it clear from his comments that he thinks we took it on a hike while it was still in its plastic wrapping and then came back to return it. Absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional to not make us sign the waiver and tell us it's a final sale item and then trying to refuse the return and being incredibly rude. It's one thing if they simply wanted to enforce their final sale policy, but to act so rude and to insinuate that the customer is lying should have no place at a national store such as this, especially from the store manager.

Was in Banff mid February with my husband and we went to a few stores downtown. Not looking for anything in particular, but just to see what they had and maybe make a purchase. I went into Atmosphere and did a a loop of the store. There were at least 4 people working there and the store was not busy. They were all either talking to each other or on their phones. Not a single person even acknowledged me but they all did look up and make eye contact, but immediately looked away and went back to their conversation with each other or their phones. Went to the North Face store right beside and was immediately greeted by every staff member I walked by and they were all friendly and welcoming. Much better vibe and service in North Face!

Good selection of shoes and outdoor apparel and camping accessories. Friendly and helpful staff.
