Like many people I struggled with having to accept loss of hearing. The team at Audiology Innovations never gave up on me. They educated me on why it is so important to correct hearing and then went on to support me as I found my way to working with my hearing aids instead of against them. I cannot thank them enough for their patience with me. I highly recommend this group!

Professional. Timely. Convenient. Very good service. Linda was very helpful and answered my questions. This was my first ever hearing test. I learned a lot and was not given a hard sell on any hearing aids. Instead I got frank advice and information about the need for (or not) and costs of hearing technology.

I recently purchased hearing aids through Audiology Innovations in Calgary and would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them to others! My initial consultation and hearing assessment was with Dr. Scarff (the Director of Audiology and Owner of the Clinic). She came highly recommended to me, and I found her to be very knowledgeable on all aspects of hearing loss, its implications on your overall brain health and social wellbeing, and the many remedial options available. She was also very thorough in her assessment of my personal hearing history and current hearing loss challenges. She inspired a lot of confidence! She then recommended and ordered a specific brand/model of hearing aids for me. From this point forward, I have been consulting (multiple times now) with Linda Vorster, an Audiology Assistant with the clinic. Linda has been just fantastic! She too is very knowledgeable and very thorough, and has been very patient and attentive with all of my questions and issues thus far. Overall, such a pleasant and empathetic person to have access to "on this journey". I obviously still have a long ways to go on this journey, but I do feel that I am in very good hands.

The Mission Clinic team was outstanding. The entire staff was very friendly and professional with excellent responsiveness. This was my initial hearing aid attempt and Linda was very informative and patient with me as I went through the normal transition to wearing hearing aids. Her knowledge of the science and research behind hearing loss was instrumental to my decision. Her accessibility and prompt follow-up with me was outstanding. In 2013, my life was changed forever when I was diagnosed with a large acoustic neuroma that was located on the balance and auditory nerves of my left ear.

Fortunately, the tumour was benign, however the surgery to remove the tumour resulted in the complete loss of hearing in my left ear. While I was thankful that the doctors were able to remove the tumour, I never imagined the profound effect that the single sided deafness would have on my daily life. My ability to understand speech in noisy environments was severely compromised causing difficulty in communicating with others. This handicap was very frustrating, at times embarrassing, and always depressing. However it was the inability for me to discern the direction and closeness of sounds which concerned me most since that threatened my safety and under certain circumstances could even cost me my life.

In the ten years following my surgery, I often have considered getting hearing aids. During that time I have visited several auditory clinics but I was always discouraged by both the products that I tried, as well as their prohibitive cost. As a senior on a fixed income, I could never justify the expense. I resigned myself to the fact that I would have to suffer with this handicap for the rest of my life.

But that all changed when someone recommended Audio Innovations who told me about the Campbell McLauren Foundation. Once again my life changed but this time for the better! The staff at the AI clinic was knowledgeable and caring and the hearings aids they fitted me with were high tech ‘state of the art’ devices, which worked really well for me. But the most wonderful part of the whole experience was that the Campbell McLauren Foundation and the Alberta Government generously covered the cost of these very expensive hearing aids.

I have been using my hearing aids for almost a week now and I feel that a new world has opened up for me. My long lost confidence is back again as I am able to navigate my daily life with much more ease. I am experiencing sounds that I haven’t noticed for so long; my life feels enriched, almost like going from black and white to color.
I want to thank Audio Innovations and the Campbell McLauren Foundation for giving me my life back. I will be eternally grateful for this special gift that you gave to me.

It was my first time coming to Audiology Innovations and I was very impressed. The receptionist welcomed me by name when I walked in and she was very friendly when I asked questions. My time spent with Lara was fantastic. She is incredibly knowledgable, friendly, professional and informative. Proceed with caution! I brought my 12 year old son in for a hearing test after he had experienced a sudden, decline in his hearing, never an indication previously that there was any issues or concerns with his hearing. The test results indicated a mild hearing loss. The technician immediately started talking about hearing aids that I could purchase through her. I said I would follow up with my GP in hopes of getting an ENT referral before making any decisions. Keep in mind, my son's hearing decline was sudden and unexplained. She told me he had likely been "suffering " with the loss for sometime. He absolutely has not been. I spoke to my doctor, and he was provided a referral to the audiology clinic at the children's hospital. We went for a hearing test today. His results are ALL NORMAL! No issue at all. His symptoms are likely the result of an infection that will resolve themselves. He is awaiting an ENT appointment to confirm. It is sad when health and wellness is turned in business!

I was fitted for custom plugs on January 8th. I got a call a week later to come pick them up. They were useless, putting my fingers in my ears blocked sound better. They said they would send them out to tweek the size. I got a call 2 weeks later in which I was told they had lost my ear impression and it would need to be redone. I went for the second impression and got a call a week later that the new ones were ready. When I tried them they wouldn't fit in my ears. Almost 7 weeks had past between my first appointment and my last one. I asked for and was issued a refund. I'm very disappointed and would not recommend this business to anyone.

My experience here was wonderful. I got in very quickly to see a specialist, they were friendly and attentive when I came in. All my questions were answered and the sleeper plugs I ordered work better than I could have hoped. Far exceeded my expectations. Blocks all the noise of the traffic and comfy to sleep in. No adjustments were necessary. I wish I’d gotten them years ago. Really Great experience overall.

I am always welcomed by the friendly staff upon my arrival and treated with respect during my appointments. I am on my 2nd set of hearing aids with them & am confident that I will continue to receive the most compassionate care, especially during this pandemic. My only complaint is the locations are a 45 minute drive for me however they will initially take the time by phone or email to attempt to find a resolution for my issues. I first learned of Audiology Innovations when I heard Dr. Scarff speak about hearing loss several years ago. Until Dr. Scarff explained it, I hadn't understood how neglecting to deal with hearing loss early could lead to permanent loss of hearing function in the brain.

With that knowledge I booked an appointment at Audiology Innovations and had my hearing checked. Elan, at the Glenbrook location, conducted a hearing test and explained the results to me in a way that was clear and that I understood. I was fitted with a pair of hearing aids on a trial basis and Elan was available to me during the trial period to answer any questions I had as well as to solve any problems I encountered. When I subsequently purchased hearing aids, Elan was extremely helpful. He ensured that I received the government financial assistance I was entitled to and was very through in ensuring I understood how to use and care for them. At no time did I feel any pressure to purchase.

In the middle of the COVID-19 lockdown, I damaged the dome of one hearing aid and needed a replacement. Rebecca went out of her way to accommodate me on very short notice, meeting me outside the office so there was no violation of their office safety protocols in order to deliver a replacement piece.

My entire experience with Audiology Innovations has been superb! Their staff has demonstrated to me that Audiology Innovations provides exceptional, caring and compassionate care. I can't recommend Audiology Innovations strongly enough.

Having pristine hearing is imperative as a voice over talent. However, I have paid a price with my work as a live event announcer (monster truck shows). Dr. Scarff has shared her skill, expertise and understanding of my unique situation to ensure that I can continue to perform at the top of my game in both disciplines.

My change in hearing really hit home when my grandson said "Grandma you're not listening to me! " To my embarrassment, I had to admit that I couldn't hear him well enough to understand what he was saying. Fortunately, a very good friend recently told me of his hearing experience and how much Dr. Carrie Scarff had helped him. This inspired me to make an appointment with Audiology Innovations so I could find out for myself what the status of my hearing was.

The process is quite simple - just book an appointment. The very friendly staff will send you confirmation of your appointment and an intake form. I appreciated this advance paperwork - for one, it makes the intake a lot quicker, but even more importantly, you have an opportunity to reflect on your personal hearing situation before the appointment - the form has a series of questions which guides you through various hearing settings. You can assess your level of comfort or discomfort in each of the settings. Very helpful tool to do the self assessment (or with the help of a family member) and extremely helpful to Dr. Scarff and her team to start the evaluation process.

The testing part is quite easy - you just have to listen to various sounds and indicate what you are hearing either by clicking a button or repeating what you've heard. Easy! All of this data gets loaded into a computer program which will show the doctor and you exactly where you are at.

I'm lucky in that I only have some mild hearing loss which does not require any auxiliary equipment to assist me. What was great, is that Dr. Scarff identified ways I could improve my hearing experiences with simple exercises and behaviors (i.e. - looking at the person when they speak and focus on one conversation at a time).

Wonderful to know that I'm not alone and we all start experiencing some form of hearing loss as we age (from age 35 onward). Audiology Innovations offers web based training to learn more hearing skills and certainly offers support for anyone experiencing mild to major hearing loss.

I've added Dr. Scarff and Audiology Innovations to my health care team, as I believe this to be an essential component to healthy aging.

I had been told more than once over the last few years that I had hearing loss but never really took it seriously. After asking a couple doctors where to go, who always replied to go anywhere, I decided to do some research. The biggest thing that impressed me about this clinic was the fact that they all had life experience with hearing loss. To me that made a huge difference. I also have a medical background and to see and 'hear' the research that Dr Scarff has done was quite impressive. I have had several hearing tests done over the years but never like this. It was much more than just listening for little beeps. She did real life hearing testing. The teaching with Keegan was amazing. His patience is great. I am just beginning this journey but already the experience has been life changing. After almost 8 years for the first time ever I heard my cat purr. It is shocking what I have been missing and it has only been less than a week.
They have extensive follow up which to me is priceless. I'm not afraid anymore (I was originally) and am looking forward to my new life with hearing.

Getting my hearing tested and getting hearing aids even at the age of 50 was a huge improvement in my life. As I learned more from Dr. Scarff and Elise - the longer those of us with hearing loss go without assistance, the harder it is to retrain our brains when we get the help. My family really appreciates that they don't have to repeat stuff for me all the time now too. I was pleased I had been. I felt very well looked after by a friendly and efficient team including Dr Scarff, Keegan and Rebecca. I have also recommended Audiology Innovations to a friend and a family member.

Everyone was very good at helping me. Dr Scarff was very nice and helped me learn about different parts of the hearing aid. The staff was very kind and listened to things I needed help with.

I had my hearing tested by Keegan and discovered a significant lose that I didn’t know about. Keegan was very careful, professional and compassionate during the entire testing procedure.

I got my hearing aids from Audiology Innovations almost 4 years ago from Dr. Scarff. I continue to come for follow up care and I recommended my husband become a client when he started to have challenges with his hearing recently. The clinic is very accommodating. I cannot recommend Audiology Innovations enough for anyone experience difficulty with hearing. Dr. Scarff and her team offer highly competent, customer focused service. The competence begins with the fact that Dr. Scarff has a PhD in the neuroscience of hearing. It continues with the clearly evident expertise of her staff that for me have included help from Hearing Aid Practitioners Eleese and Eunice. Getting hearing aids is a process. It takes time to adapt and part of the process includes the highly technical fine tuning using a computer that happens in follow-up appointments. On every occasion when I have needed such technical expertise it was provided with great care and attention.leaving me feeling that getting it just right for clients matters at Audiology Innovations. The focus on clients dominates the whole experience including when you first arrive and Rebecca greets you with a warm smile. She's also the one will help with arranging future appointments if needed. I wasn't surprised that Audiology Innovations will soon be opening a third locations. That's what happens when professionals go the distance to meet their clients' needs.

I live a fair distance outside of Calgary and was needing an audiology test for my Aviation License and i talked to basically every audiology clinic in Calagary and they were the clinic to get me in the quickest, also close and easy parking nearby which was nice

I have profound hearing loss so it was not easy for me to find an honest audiologist and hearing aids practitioners. When I met Audiology Innovations Family, I immediately felt welcomed and knew I could trust them.
I am forever grateful that they are willing to take on big challenges to meet my needs. Audiology Innovations was fantastic. My children are actively involved in whitewater kayaking. Frequent submersion in cold water can cause irreparable ear damage. An ear examination was done to be sure there was no preexisting damage, then a great explanation as to the importance of using the new custom made ear plugs. The staff at Audiology Innovations are extremely knowledgeable and go above and beyond to make sure the customer has the right hearing aids. They take the time to make sure the customer knows how to look after their devices and are always there to help. I went in today for a hearing exam to make sure all was well this was the first time going to this clinic and I will definitely go back.
The ladies at the front were so friendly and genuine. They spoke with me and made me feel comfortable not like just another customer in a lineup.
I filled out a short questionnaire and after a couple of minutes the audiologist, Keegan, came and started asking me some brief questions to better understand my needs.
The hearing test didn’t take long.
Keegan was very intelligent and answered all of my questions regarding hearing loss and tinnitus.

November, 2019. Visits to Audiology Innovations are much nicer than going to a medical appointment. You are greeted by your first name and enjoy a friendly conversation with Rebecca and then with your audiologist (Carrie for my visits). Your visits are never rushed, your hearing aids are professionally adjusted and cleaned and all your questions are answered in an informal friendly atmosphere nothing like the rushed visits you might expect at a medical doctor's office. You are being helped by a professional, highly trained and knowledgable team that is informed of the latest hearing technology and devices and they take the time to make sure you are satisfied. Yes you could pay less at a big box store but you won't get the important follow up service and instruction you need. All in all I highly recommend Audiology Innovations and give 5 out of 5 in all categories.

Hello. I am a retired physician, and it was increasingly apparent that my hearing was not as good as it had been. This was confirmed when I had some testing done through Alberta Health Services.
When I met a friend who had hearing aids, I asked where she had gone.
She told me that she had gotten her assessment and aids through Audiology Innovations, and she was extremely pleased with the level of professionalism and support that was provided. She couldn’t recommend it more highly.
When I arranged an appointment, I was received very warmly, and I too was very impressed with Dr Scarff’s assessment, and her approach to managing my hearing loss. She is very up to date with the latest research findings, and explains things very clearly. Because of my medical background, she was happy to spend more time providing additional detail, which I appreciated.

I was referred to Dr Scarff by my family physician. Her clinic happens to be close to my home but I would happily drive some distance to see her in the future. The office is sleek and easy to access. The support staff are friendly and welcoming. I was asked to complete an in-take form in the waiting area and then very quickly seen by the doctor. Dr Scarff is friendly and thorough in her examination. She is clear in communicating her findings and follows up on the same day. Aug 2019 - I was struggling with hearing loss and other auditory issues. Dr. Scarff was persistent in making sure this was dealt with in a timely manner. She took all the necessary steps she could to help me then reached out to my family Dr.and an ENT Specialist which enable me to get the necessary treatment to get this issue resolved. 2017 - Dr. Carrie and her team were excellent in ensuring that I was well taken care of. I avoided getting my hearing corrected because at my age I did not want a visible hearing aid. Dr. Carrie provided many great options and my whole world has come alive with a lyric hearing aid that is invisible.
