The problem here is what they think constitutes a milkshake. A long time ago A&W actually made a real root beer milkshakes containing ice cream well that was then and this is now. I looked at the menu recently and was happy to find a root beer milkshake and I ordered anticipating a nice root beer flavored drink made with real ice cream and milk, NOPE what I received resembled a slurpee or a root beer flavored ice cap sort of thing but not a milkshake. I complained to the manager and said that it is not a milkshake but he insisted repeatedly that ice pellets mixed with some kind of powdered flavor mix is a milkshake. This is an abomination of a real milkshake. FOR SHAME A&W FOR SHAME! Next stop Jack's in Spruce Grove yum.

Inside cashier always in a big hurry too take orders. Won't go to this location ever again recommend visit other location

I went in yesterday evening and paid $11 for a buddy burger and 3 chicken strips. I was stunned by how little food you actually get. The strips appeared to be about half-the-size of what they once were. The woman at the cash was lacklustre, unhelpful and rude. I also tried their much-hyped and advertised Nashville (fried) Chicken Burger and I was disappointed as it lacked in flavour and was very over-priced. The quality of this chain is going downhill, in my opinion.

I had one issue regarding the promotion of their frozen root beer displayed for buy 1 get one free. When receiving the frozen root beer they gave a large it was said yet didn't have the second one as per advertised, then when questioned as to where the second frozen rootbeer they gave a small one. First off, when advertising something it should b specific to what sizes they r serving. Secondly, if the customer orders n pays for the size requested then they must supply the free one as per size. That is a big misconception n not good business rapport for a clear understanding of exactly what is being offered. Perhaps they should read the policy guidelines for promo merchandising. Clear understanding works better over unsatisfied customers from poor advertising methods.

Even when they're getting overwhelmed with orders and people this A&W stands tall and comes out on top amazing food amazing employees amazing everything lol

New, prompt, and friendly service. Amenities such as a station to wash your hands as well as passing your dirty plates and such to the dish pit directly makes it a cut above the average fast food chain.

This is a nice store but it's on the small side. We had a bit of trouble with fitting our 2 grand children. One is a car seatvthe other in the high chair. The food was very good though.

I love A&W, particularly their Diet Root Beer. They make nearly the best Diet Root Beer available although to be fair, Barq's does a pretty solid job as well. The annoying thing about this spot, and I'll preface this with the fact that I'm what the Canadian's affectionately refer to as a "Yank" and I'm used to my large and extra-large drinks coming in something more bucket-sized, is that their large is the same size as a small in my country. Canada has a Europe-lite feel to it but it also has a US-Lite feel to it as well and as such, when I hit the drive through, which is definitely on the US-Lite side of the equation, I don't expect a tiny cup when I order a large for the road. I put this down in one big sip and then continued to be thirsty

Guy that runs morning shift is a great worker and really friendly made my bfast there always worthwhile

A&W is better than McDonald's. Their burgers are nicer, their fries are nicer to consume. And my stomach doesn't hate me when I eat an a&w burger.

Extremely clean, fast and amazing service. I haven’t done the “dine in” at a fast food restaurant since the pandemic started. Honestly, mostly frequent Mc D’s because of the kids. I decided to wander in and get a bite to eat. This location was really really clean even the bathrooms and there was someone actively cleaning tables and the condiment station a few times while I was there.
The food was perfect, eggs were exactly how I ordered them and they even deliver it to your table. I should have taken a pic of the food… next time. I will definitely be back.

A&W talks big but delivers less. They are more money that other fast food but at least your order will be correct 99% of the time!

A bunch of people with 50 percent efficacy rates sitting around tables. Good burgers, poor morality.

When I want ONION RINGS OR FRIES, this is the place I always go, nothing better than hot fries and mayo, and onion rings with ketch.

Really don't like this place because every time I go in the morning when I order my breakfast I like my jams who cares about peanut butter but I don't like being told that I can't have flavor I like so lesson learned I'll go to a different outlet

This particular location stands out for me! Great staff. Pleasant owner and the food is fresh, and delicious! I tried a Strawberry Milkshake my last visit! Delish! Also, their Onion Rings are best by far!

I didn't order but sat outdoors after hrs. Early morning eating mcdouble & drinking pharmaceutical DNA anyalis beverage or toxins. Can't remember if it was suloutio.n clear

Always a joy to eat at a&w. However im bot a fan of the new root beer flavoured drink's. I find they just take away from the over all appeal of the beverage.

Worst service in a long time.our order was 2 mama burgers with cheese and 1 lettuce wrap mama burger with cheese. Menu board has lettuce wrap option. Person at drive thru was very confused, order ended up being all wrong we got 3 burgers 2 lettuce wrapped 1 bun no cheese at all. A&W I know you can do better.

Under renovations and closed. Drove in off the highway. To get breakfast just to find out i wased my time. Usually yummy, quick and hot here.

Make sure you guys GIVE THE CORRECT ORDER to the Uber drivers before sending it out. It shouldn’t be that hard.

This location is so bad please don't order here at night they make your food and have it out for an hour till a driver shows up everything is freezing cold

The burgers had way too much lettuce. And the onion rings were a little underdone. Other than that, the food was ok and the service was good.

Extremely rude and condensending behaviour from the guy working the night shift. Had to actually cancel my order and back out from the drive through lane. Awful.awful service. If you go through other reviews, you'll see similar complains against the same guy.

Customer service VERY poor.while i was asking others in the car what they wanted to drink with their meal the morning manager yelled through the mic which drink we want repeating wat the other order taker just asked

Picked up order through drive through, they did not paying attention to order and messed it up.

The place is clean and service is good but they pack the food pretty rough.burgers coming apart in the bag etc.

Westmount has my favourite Mark's store next to Peace River's. You don't have to look around for help. They offer it as soon as they see you. Mind you they did not have what I wanted but that was okay. When you go to pay, they ALWAYS ask if you want to donate to Jumpstart. That is my favourite children's charity so I appreciate it when they do ask.

Awesome night staff, wicked fresh night food. It’s good the rest of the day too but the night time is the right time at this location, keep it up guys!

I've always loved fountain pop, and a&w has always had my favourite chicken burger - I wish this review could be about that. But after this I can't go to another a&w, and will be cautious about any drink that doesn't come in a bottle. By coincidence I had lost my straw, so I just took the top off my iced tea to drink it. I had almost finished my drink, after taking the last big gulp by another coincidence the light was hitting the inside of the cup perfectly, I could see the bottom illuminated with whatever liquid was in it. I say that because I'm not sure how many were in this drink, if there was much iced tea there at all. I saw a very tiny, almost microscopic see through little worm. Slime like. I thought I was seeing things, but as I watched a little arm go out slowly - once I saw it pull itself forward I knew I wasn't. I only saw this one by complete chance, have no idea what it is. I puked as soon as I saw it, I'd just drank that for christs sake.completely disgusting and unprofessional as big of a food chain as you are, I assume it's because where the drink came from hasn't been cleaned for awhile. Or so I hope because I don't think worms should come in any drink you order. Nasty. I definitely won't recommend going to a&w ever again. Probably the opposite in fact, I'd like to save someone else from this completely nauseating experience. It was very traumatizing. If I could give a negative star review I would but unfortunately that isn't an option. Definitely think twice before going to this place.

They are open Christmas Day. They're crazy busy. They are juggling take out orders and drive through orders and it seemed pretty difficult to coordinate to me. I also changed my order at the last minute once I got to the window and added something. Which they accommodated very kindly.

I'm a bit used to this a and w messing up my orders, but today I got a chicken BLT that had two bun bottoms (which honestly is whatever) both of which had some mustard smeared on them? Like they were going to be used for other burgers but then weren't. Super weird. Nice front workers, poor cooks

We usually always go to this a&w since it's one of the closest to our house and most days it good, then some days they may forget an item. Today me and my boyfriend when and they forgot two of our items so we went back to grab them but then I also realized my iced tea tasted watered down. So it's not a bad store or so but they could consider checking all items are correct before sending them off to you and try to keep consistent effort to give excellent service.

It was okay but when we ordered our food they forgot to give us straws so service was okay food was good but I'm not one to judge

I had always loved A&W. But they fell out of favor with I for many reasons.
Recently I had decided to give them another shot. Am I ever so grateful I did!
Granted I partake in the early hrs but heck it's worth it beyond words.
The staff are amazing, fast, precise and all the while with a smile & to boot a sense of humor!
If you want excellent customer service and fantastic food visit the gentleman that are at 111ave & 142st.
You won't be disappointed by any means. Hands up best guys I've dealt with in years anywhere!

A&w on 11135-149st I get my coffee 2wise A-day. 5 days a week Sometime breakfast sometime lunch. I love it ••its satisfied my Hot coffee I want to say thank you to these great experiences people. (JAMIE) (BENA) (SOSINA) (NINA). Always taken care of their customers. I always see them smiles happy to the Customer. Fast service A&w You should proud of those people.

Every time I come here the person talking in the drive through has a hard time understanding me, I speak clear English but the person who takes the order still says the wrong item I want, I know the person taking the order English is not there first language and that okay and everything but by put them in that position even though they can’t understand people talk, the service is slow food is always great and the staff are hard to deal with on a good day

Walked past just to see if they were open, wasn't surprised that it's drive thru only, then just as we were walking away the girl inside pointed at the drive thru lane and let us do a walk up order!
Very cool.
They Also gave us 50% off for health care workers.
