B & L Lawn & Home Maintenance Ltd

We had B&L come to our home for a service we were quoted for. I was called my neighbors while I wasn’t home (it was raining and we were told they would not come if it had) *they showed anyway far to wet to aerate and mow… my neighbors phones me and complaining that when they arrived, 2-3 grown men were screaming and running through our culdesac passed peoples homes yelling obsenities at another lawn maintenance company trick. They asked if these men were high and were angry that this company had been on our property disturbing neighbors. My daughter who was home at the time said it was raining and why did they show up. I called B&l and spoke to someone at their office. She forwarded the message and Blair called me back. He apologized. I asked why they came out when it rained, he said it hadn’t, it clearly had rained a lot. The aerating looked awful, it was a messy mow with no clean ending done. I sent pictures, Our grass had no holes so how was it aerated? Blair sent his people back to make it right. They came and once again did the mowing and trimming and left a mess in our backyard. It took my husband who meticulously works on our yard 3 days to clean up the mess left behind by b&L. I asked for a company to do this to give my husband a break as he’d been working so hard and felt it would be nice to come home to a well manicured lawn. It took 3 Days? Bags and bags of grass clippings, removing and trimming. Despite their efforts to “make it right’” this was unprofessional. We should not have to pay for this service at all. He spoke to my husband and my husband said it was a waste to get them here. Blair continued to try to dicker his price and then required the original quote of $215 he originally quoted but when the invoice came his services were over $315. It’s been dishonest from the beginning and although we appreciate small business support, we will not support nor advise anyone to get them.

My lawn has never looked this bad since installing new sod after paying for my first vendor spring service! My neighbors had similar experience and all that happened was they fertilized again with no results. Both of us had to fertilize ourselves and before I did mine I dethatched with my lawn works machine and filled 6 bags of dead grass! Don’t recommend and yes I did pass on them coming back as why, not done right first time.

I contacted B and L at the beginning of May about a major landscaping job we needed done, and they were initially quick to respond to my inquiry. But after a week of being told that they were coming to look at our property for an estimate and then cancelling, they ended up completely ghosting me. Very unprofessional.

Extremely unprofessional. The workers hang out of trucks while moving making gestures to people they don’t know. Get a grip.

They are beyond awesome.so very kind prompt, honest. I’m nearly disabled, and Blair was so kind and understanding. Couldn’t have picked a better company
