Bacchus 14th Karaoke & Bar

They were short staffed. Our bartender Deborah presented amazing bar/customer service. She was an amazing and positive staff member. Very attentive. Me and my friend for our first experience had a great time.

Very disappointing service and experience here. We showed up later on in the evening with the understanding that we would have to wait a while to get a private room, but hoped to hang out in the main room and have some drinks in a fun atmosphere while we waited.

While the private rooms were full when we arrived, the place was DEAD. And despite that, we got awful, disinterested service. They didn't seem to know how to work the main karaoke machine. We stood at the bar for 10 minutes waiting to order a drink but getting completely ignored while the staff were getting orders for the people in the private rooms. We eventually moved into a vacated private room, but were essentially forgotten about once in there too.

Don't waste your time coming here. There are several establishments downtown that will have a much better experience with service staff that are happy to have you there. In retrospect, this place was dead on a Saturday night for a reason.

You shouldn't change the customers' reserved room to a smaller room or to a public area by your own intention. And the bill you charged was not clear.

Why always making sudden changes to a reserved arrangement?
Customer already booked a designated room and paid the corresponding money. So why you bother to consider how many people of their group coming? If less people, this shop would request the group to use a smaller room. Is it resonable? Ridiculous!

Can i give less than 1 star? I emailed to book a large room for a group of 15 ladies for a girls night out. Deborah responded to my email and confirmed my reservation.
The staff were nice except Deborah. She was rude and disrespectful and even when we complained one of the guests was missing a food order, she still wanted our group to pay and she called us ridiculous. She is rude, racist, gave poor service and is really the worst thing about Bacchus. The food was tasty, the rest of the staff apologized and the music selection could use some update, but you have lost a customers and we will never visit this location again.

1) Servers were dishonest about our group being able to extend our time in the karaoke rooms. I had made a reservation and was told upon arriving at the establishment that if we were to extend our time, they would move us into a different smaller room for the second hour. We had agreed. However, on wanting to extend our time after the first hour, we were told there were no rooms available and we would not be given the extension.

2) Vodka cocktail made someone in our group ill.

David closed early to get home even though online says they’re open till 3am.clearly doesn’t care about the ownership or business of the restaurant. Pretty sad

I booked a large room for the 12 of us for a stagette and we all had a great time. The sound system is awesome, service was quick and friendly, and the bottle service was all set when we got to the room. Note: If you don’t want them to hold onto your credit card (presumably as collateral) then you should settle the bill right away.

Online it said the kitchen is open till 3 so I placed an order 1.5 hrs before… after my order wasn’t accepted online I called the restaurant only to find they are closing. Is you’re closing early then close your online dining service portals before the kitchen closes so people don’t have to wait a while before finding out the food won’t even get delivered.

1) E-mailed to reserve a large room as I was initially anticipating a large crowd, but a group of my friends couldn't attend. I told them I'd have a smaller group but we were still around 8-9 people. They gave us such a small room! We barely had room to put our coats. I was expecting a much larger room since their site boasts rooms that should fit large crowds (up to 30) comfortably, and this was absolutely not the case.

2) Song selections were so bad. Everything was in Korean which was already a bad setup, but to make it worse, according to their list, the songs were last updated in 2018. I even checked with them the types of songs they'd have prior to confirming the booking. I was told the system updates "automatically", but we couldn't find hit songs from 2020-2021. The song selection was pathetic, we ended up jamming to Lady Gaga, Edith Piaf, Michael Jackson, etc, so yeah you get the picture. Microphones are not adjustable, the volume of the music was so loud it drowned out the microphones, plus, the echo was dreadful, there's no way to control it from the microphones. I own 4 microphones at home which were superior to these, which is sad. One of the worst karaokes I've been to. I could very well have invested the money on more drinks and just sang at home had I known how badly the private rooms were set up.

The place looks nothing like pictures on their site. Looks so run down. Disappointed. Won't be coming back.

Overcharged us and charged us for someone elses room, making the price 800 dollars when it was supposed to be 400.didnt apologize and forced us to pay an 18% tip.service was incompetent and a mess.

This place could be amazing, but it seems the staff doesn't have the tools or manpower to handle any rushes, prob the worst cocktail I've ever had pure sugar and syrup, and my wife's wine must have been from a bottle that was open for a few weeks.

Make sure to triple check your bills before you pay. They tried to overcharge us by adding additional items on our bill for the stuff we didn't have. When we pointed them out, they didn't even apologize or admit that they made a mistake. We had to correct the bill 3 times to get it right. Their food and service was also disappointing, and it felt overpriced for the quality.

Nice room and okay seating for a private karaoke. Limited food and drinks menu. I was very disappointed that the mics only worked intermittently, we were told they are always like that, kills the karaoke experience a bit when the singer is not amplified above the backing track.

Best bar in Victoria Park area hands down. Cute servers and great prices for drinks. Inside is a large space great for watching the game or four singing karaoke with your friends. Unfortunately karaoke is not open at this time because of the pandemic but this is one of my favourite places for it.

This place is great to go chill and eat! Updated menu and food is tasty. The tteok-bokki is perfectly balance with good amount of spicy and sweet flavor. Definitely one of best I have had on town.

Probably the worst service I've ever had. There were 4 people in the whole place, yet the server couldn't find the time to wait on me because he was too busy sitting at the bar chatting with his buddy. Never. Going. Back.

The head Chef was very flexible with food menu.
We requested no dairy, no nuts and no gluten, he created a new menu which is not on the menu.
