Baker Creek By Basecamp

We stayed in a beautiful cabin called 'Superior One Bedroom + Loft Cabin (stairs) '. It had everything we needed. Super clean and cozy. Walking distance, you find the Bow River running, and the views from there are spectacular. I love how they have those typical red chairs where you can sit and relax, contemplating the view of the mountains. Our stay was extremely pleasant and relaxing.

Gorgeous, secluded, peaceful spot. Absolutely worth the trip! Comfy beds, cozy cabins, 10/10 would stay again.

We’ve stayed at many cabins, but none like this. My wife keeps saying she feels like she’s in a Hallmark Christmas movie… and it’s not even Christmas.

Very friendly upon checkin. Cabins were fun, clean, well equipped, and charming… basically everything the rest of the cabins we’ve tried elsewhere have aspired to be.

The fire pits by the creek are absolutely fantastic and well worth the trip by themselves.

If you’re looking for a fancy 5 star Fairmont experience, this isn’t your gig. But chances are, if you’re that crowd you’re not looking at this review anyway.

Beautiful, well appointed cabins in idyllic settings. Fire pits along the creek with the backdrop of the rockies.

Cozy place. Loved the wood and antler decor and the fire pits by the river. Our kids loved seeing the trains go by! It was nice that it’s a bit out of town, and will be even better once their restaurant opens to avoid having to drive to town for food.

Absolutely stunning and the rooms were worth every penny. I'll stay here again and again over staying at a Fairmont Hotel chain.

Oubliez l'esprit de famille on est sur un hôtel où il n'y a que l'argent qui compte. Il faut bien lire toutes les lignes du contrat même si on ne le comprend pas, car zéro compassion! Nous aurions fortement apprécié un avertissement et non une sanction sur une interdiction non comprise.

Le problème c'est que nous parlions peux anglais, donc nous avons pas lu en entier la politique.

Nous avons reçu AUCUN emails de votre part pour prévenir de cette loi. Vos salariés nous ont pas expliqué les règles et interdictions de l'établissement. 3 salariés sont passé devant notre amie qui fumée sur le balcon, les 3 nous ont rien dit.

Bizarre comme politique préventive non?

Et ensuite de recevoir un petit message pour passer au bureau et payer 250 dollars, je trouve que c'est malsain.

Je déconseille l'établissement aux étrangers qui ne maitrise pas trop la langue anglaise et personnel qui pensent qu'a eux.

This location was absolutely amazing to stay at! The rooms we very clean and set up so cute! I loved that the mountain cabin feels went throughout the entire locations. The staff there were very helpful with finding activities to do locally and helping out at the facility.

Baker Creek is a great distance away from the hustle of Lake Louise while being close enough to drive there and do activities.if you are unsure of what to do around the area, the staff is very helpful to point you in the right directions. They also have pick-ups and drop-offs from the camp location to make it easier if you don't know the area.

Inacceptable. Nous avons été accueilli en nous demandant de signer les règles de l’établissement sans aucune explication de la part du réceptionniste. Les règles n’étaient pas dans notre langue et nous n’avons pas eu de copie.
Le lendemain de notre arrivée nous avons reçu un message pour nous demander de venir à l’accueil, et la surprise, on nous demande de payer 250$ d’amende pour avoir fumer sur le balcon.
Il y avait un cendrier à 2 mètre du logement mais interdit du fumer sur le balcon. Les employés nous ont vu et il n’ont jamais rien dit.
On a du payer sans avertissement en nous expliquant qu’il fallait bien lire et même annoncer qu’on fumait… c’est un bon moyen d’augmenter leur chiffre! C’est vraiment pas respectable.

This place was a hidden gem. Coming here with my family after hiking for multiple days was exactly what we needed. The staff was unbelievable the rooms were great. The gym the saunas were unreal. To finish the day off with a fire by the river was the icing on the cake. Couldn't ask for a better night stay. Highly suggest if you're traveling or hiking at Lake Louise

Can’t wait to come back to this amazing place! Wish we could have stayed a week. Even a French press and gourmet tea in the rooms.

We had such a wonderful time staying at Baker Creek! Booked last minute after a previous reservation fell through, and we were not disappointed. We booked a Jacuzzi Suite. Rooms were clean, spacious and well equipped with books on the area, binoculars, a personal fireplace, and a binder of so many pages of things to do in the area. The scenery was gorgeous, and the perfect distance to lake louise. Front desk staff was so nice and helpful as well!

Where do I begin? The location is perfect, right in the middle of the way to the lakes. Additionally, unlike other sites we saw, Baker Creek is right by the riverside, which makes the experience unbeatable. We stayed in a suite with the family (grandparents, mom, etc.), and it's super cozy, and fully equipped. It has heating, so you sleep wonderfully. And saving the best for last, Kim and Rachel are spectacular. Kim, the manager, saved our lives with a mistake we made with dates. Do not hesitate to book at this place; we will return if we revisit the area.

What an amazing place to stay whilst visiting Lake Louise area. My wife and I stayed here for one night during our honeymoon travelling the rockies, but we wished we could have stayed for longer. We booked the jacuzzi suite which was lovely and very well equipped. The location is amazing, with firepits and seating by the riverside, and a peaceful forest setting. Would definitely stay here again!

Close to plenty of hikes. Quiet and very pretty. Warm and cozy rooms with nice views. Nice creekside firepits to enjoy. Internet was very sketchy at best and most of the time non existent. Enjoyed staying here

We booked the room last minute, what we thought was our room upstairs, there is two single beds upstairs, and a queen down. We overlooked the river, super cute, space and a great vibe. Highly recommend it.

Idyllic, great hospitality, light a campfire and relax in breathtaking views with some smores to boot.

I was a little hesitant booking just because of the price, but the tasteful, log cabin rooms with the river flowing right outside our back porch (jacuzzi room) I’m BEYOND satisfied.

I didn’t know just how great this place would be, don’t pass this quiet gem up. We will be back next trip!

Amazing location. Spacious rooms with tasteful but unique decor. Kitchen was basic and lacked a built in stove/oven but did have a portable one. Had all other amenities you need. Firepits are located by the river for any guests to use, amazing location to have dinner and/or drinks with family/friends in the evening. Highly recommend for either a romantic getaway or family treat. You won't be disappointed!

We had a really lovely time during our stay. Super peaceful and relaxing. Cute little store onsite with some grab and go essentials. Love how it sits right on a river and the adirondack chairs and fire pits! Super friendly front desk staff and clean rooms!

We had a deluxe cabin with a loft, which was reached by a stairway. It was perfect for our group of five.the staff at the service desk were very friendly and helpful. Our cabin had a kitchen, including a microwave, 2 burner hot plate, convection oven, electric kettle and french press coffee maker. There were plenty of pots, pans, plates, bowls, glasses, mugs and utensils. Dish soap, towels and paper toweling were uncluded as well. The drive to Lake Louise was fairly quick, about 20 minutes. The drive to Banff was closer to 40 minutes. We saw elk in the area, but no bears.

The place was great but Shayna is who really stood out. I've worked in 4 and 5 star hotels and it has been a long time since I've experienced service as exceptional as what she was able to provide.

Very peaceful surrounding and completely cut off from mobile data and nearby restaurants. Better be prepared to cook for yourself for dinner or you need to travel 45 mins to Banff instead. Wi-Fi service is poor and disruptive, only good for checking messages etc.

The cutest cabins in the perfect location! Had such a great stay at Baker Creek, the cabins are so cute and comfortable and the location is the perfect base for adventures in Lake Louise, Yoho and up the Icefields Parkway. Roasting marshmallows over the creekside fire pits while watching the sunset was a highlight for sure!
