Absolutely horrible never go here no matter what. Biggest waste of my time ever. In the 5 hours I was there, they refused to give me sinus infection medicine. When I went to another urgent care they gave me the meds and I felt better within two days.

We were visiting from out of province and my husband required medical attention. He saw Dr. Stephen Shigeishi, who was amazing! His professionalism and his caring nature was astounding! He not only sent him up to the hospital lab, which was closed for appointments, but called the next day to see how he was feeling. He then followed up on his test results by phone and set up another blood test and another appointment to discuss with us. We were truly blown away, not only by the excellent care received, but more so by his caring ways. Banff folks.you are so fortunate to have this fine Doctor in your community.

I would give zero stars if I could. DR. JANE FOWKE Is the worst. I came in looking to get treatment for a small infection. But, was instead told that I’m too fat around the mid-section, and told to go on ozempic. When I refused, I was met with arrogant and condescending remarks hinting that I was gonna get diabetes. I also think it’s odd that I had not one but TWO doctors trying to force me to get an IUD even though this was not the intention for my visit. TW- I also had to get swabs taken, and I had noticed that JANE FOWKE wasn’t going to use lube. When I asked her why, her response was “you’re young, you don’t need lube. ” Even though it may not be protocol to use lube, the response was absolutely ridiculous. I left this appointment feeling absolutely defeated, I had zero voice. Dr. FOWKE has the worst bedside manner.

I am from out of province and 18 weeks pregnant. Not only was I able to walk-in and be treated (which is unheard of in my home province) but I was seen, given an ultrasound and Doppler as well as run some basic tests to rule out infection in under 30 minutes. Thank you so much to the staff and doctors who took me seriously and reassured a first time mom. Super grateful.

Unfortunately for your team, I did not "misunderstand the situation". You are a medical urgent care facility correct? And Doctors take a Hippocratic oath. In the oath, the physician pledges to prescribe only beneficial treatments, according to his abilities and judgment; to refrain from causing harm or hurt; and to live an exemplary personal and professional life. My mother had been sick on vacation for over a week and needed help. She paid the $400 and was given a prescription that she turned out to be allergic to, and it made her sicker. They called back and instead of writing a different prescription, they said she needed to pay $400 again. Which parents refused to do. When someone finally called her back, and my father had left a bad review, they said they would give her the prescription if he took down the poor review. Real nice! People deserve to know about this place holding medicine captive on sick senior citizens. They had to return to the US and be seen by real doctors with caring staff so in all it took her 13 days to receive proper medical treatment. And I thought the US was bad! You can go ahead and flag my review as inappropriate on Google, but they will not remove it unless it's spam, which this is not. You need to make this right.

I was hesitant to come to here after reading a few poor reviews but decided on trying it as I felt I needed care. Everyone was lovely and very helpful. I was a walk in and only waited 30 minutes. Doctors and all staff were kind. Being a visiting American was not a problem at all. I was able to walk to the pharmacy and put in my prescription after just over an hour of walking in and asking to be seen. Very pleasant experience.

Awful experIence start to finish. Firstly, Rochelle at the front desk was curt and unhelpful when we phoned on the way over. In the several hours we waited, we witnessed this pattern with other patients. The expectation is that you scan a bar code to register - if you are old or don’t have a phone or can’t complete the digital registration, then there is a form. Good luck. One couple asked for help, she outright said no. As walk-ins, we, watched numerous other walk-ins arriving later than us be seen. Some people had appointments but they were obvious from their interactions at the front desk. There is no triage and the wait list system is not based on arrival and check in time. An International couple that came in 20 minutes after us got seen almost immediately. They were shocked when they came out more than half an hour later and saw that we were still waiting. They actually commented. They were paying out of pocket, at a higher rate than the AB government (by far). I heard the price. Yikes! Now it starts to make sense. Someone else (definite walk in arriving over an hour later) bypassed the list entirely, and got in quickly. The younger male doctor (arrogant and defensive) came out to chastise us when he heard us challenging their process. We had enquired politely several times prior. We were very frustrated at that point. Guess what? Sometimes you don’t know the whole story and are just wrong. Don’t make excuses or lie or patient blame. Say your system screwed up and apologize. Or just admit, we prioritize International (and other national) patients and let them jump the queue because we get paid more. Albertans go to the bottom of the list…and wait and wait and wait. Don’t go here. Go anywhere else. My husband finally walked out at 7: 05. Pharmacy closed at 7. So docs figured no practical point in giving him the prescription he actually should have received. Just up the OTC and fingers crossed. To be fair, the doctor and student who saw him were thorough and the front end problems are not on them. After this colossal waste of time, we drive back 130km where there is no coverage and good luck. Hope your massive allergic reaction doesn’t become anaphylactic. Poor quality of care to say the least.

Laura was extremely helpful and kind after I had made an error with my booking and didn’t make the appointment. She was able to accommodate me and make sure I was able to still see a dr today. Thankyou so much Laura you made my day!

Honestly I've heard plenty of horror stories when it comes to Alpine Clinic. It truly is sad that one of the only clinics accessible in Banff have rude, inconsiderate receptionists and although they have maybe 2 amazing doctors that are the complete opposite of that, the constant disregard for mental health, physical well being, and overall experience of patients is ridiculous. It's crazy that so many people get shamed for going in for abortions, sti/std checks and pushed to get contraceptive that isn't their choice (IUD's). If Banff needs anything, its a better health care system and a better walk in clinic. Dear Alpine Clinic, BE BETTER!

Went to alpine walk in today, what an amazing clinic front desk staff helpful and courteous the doctor compassionate and competent thank you to Dr James Clem and the lovely receptionist being a nurse myself it was a wonderful experience you guys are great

Such a wonderful clinic. The two doctors I am sorry if I got the names wrong, Dr Patrick and Dr Jane are caring, pleasant and thorough. Thank you. The front desk were pleasant and warm too.

A little steep at $500 Canadian for foreigners but you can deal with the payment/insurance back home. Saw my son quickly and were very sweet, warm, and knowledgeable. Just knocking off a star only because the after visit summary was not correct.

This clinic is busy, but the staff are kind and compassionate. So happy to find this clinic after bad experiences with other clinics in the area.

Cannot say enough good things about this clinic. Efficient doctors that really care about your health and treat the entire person. Kind staff that stays cool and helpful even when it's busy. My appointment is usually on time, but I have no problem waiting on occasion as it means the people ahead of me got the same attention and quality of care I will.

Worst Drs office I have EVER been to in my life. Terrible just awful. Front desk people are the rudest people I have ever talked to and the drs don’t care. I have never ever had to write a bad review for a drs office. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Editing months later because I’m still mad.

Doctor has my medical history and personal details and still prescribed me multiple different medications that ended up being ineffective due to certain Legal consumable substances my doctor knew about and did not inform me of how they would interact with my medications. Asked doctor to refer me to a phycologist so it was covered under my benefits.doctor referred me to someone who’s profession was not covered by my benefits even though she was informed of which professions were not covered before hand. Was offered over the phone appointments by doctor multiple times yet every time I called to make a phone appointment I was told they don’t do that and this was never written on my file.doctor said she was referring me to a psychiatrist instead referred me to some support group thing mistakenly.had another doctor there prescribe me medication that I told him did not work for me beforehand.
When I was moving to Cochrane my doctor said she would make sure to put in my file that we would be doing over the phone appointments because there are no doctors available in Cochrane right now and I don’t drive.when I called to make an appointment I was greeted rudely by front desk and told they don’t do that and it’s not in my file and refused to ask my doctor and call me back.after a little bit of arguing as I was rightfully upset I was told the “laws in Alberta for over the phone appointments have changed and that’s why we can’t do over the phone appointments. ” Yet i somehow was able to get an over the phone appointment at another doctors office who had an on call doctor. This “Law” seems a little fishy. I’m sure there are plenty of bad messages about me and my behaviour in my file from front desk as I have had many bad interactions with them. Overall this drs office isn’t organized enough. Drs and front desk seem to lack empathy. Doctors are in such a rush they forget important details and forget to put stuff in your file. However there are a few good things about this clinic. The doctor understood my financial situation due to being on disability and didn’t make me pay for doctors notes. And they are mighty great at treating physical ailments such as sprained ankles and rashes… stuff like that.

Congratulations Alpine medical clinic for being the only place I have gotten so fed up with that I considered leaving a bad review.

I will NOT be returning which I’m sure you are all happy about as you seem to have a record with me of not taking responsibility or fixing anything and just being rude when I rightfully get concerned and ask questions.

My wife and I are US citizens who were visiting Banff, and my wife had need of immediate medical attention. The Alpine clinic was kind enough to allow us to come in at very short notice, and she was treated with the utmost professional, courteous, and helpful care while we were there. The staff was
wonderful and Alpine has my highest recommendation.

Super rude staff… we asked over the phone if they did covid testing for going abroad and were told no, they asked them if they know anywhere close by that does it and they literally just hung up the phone on us.

This is an amazing family clinic. They have helped with diagnosis, symptoms, and arranging specialist appointments, all the while have seen my children.

They strive to have great availability and want to help in every way.
I would recommend this clinic to everyone. 5 Stars
