I've never been on a canoe before and so wanted to join a group canoe tour to learn the basics while still being able to enjoy viewing Banff from on the water. I went on the 7 PM wildlife tour, which I highly recommend because the sun wasn't beating down on us, the river was mostly empty, and we were able to get an amazing view of the sun as it sets behind the mountain! Although we didn't spot many wildlife that day, our guide CJ shared a lot of fun and interesting information/stories with us that definitely added to the experience (all the while keeping us safe and making sure we didn't crash into anything)!
Very cool canoe tour on the Bow River with the Tour Guide "CJ". We saw an Eagle. The Guide told us a lot of interesting stories from the area. Was really cool and we would do it again. Thanks to CJ from the Austrians.
A great late canoe after a beautiful day in Banff. Andrew was a fabulous guide, very knowledgeable & even spotted a bald headed eagle, an osprey & 2 beavers
Staff super friendly, we had a great time on the water the 4 of us, and we saw a deer/ (wapiti?) from the river. Great experience! Highly recommend it!
Quelle belle place pour mettre à l'eau notre embarcation ou en louer une! Les employés sont super gentils. Stationnement limité, mais une zone de débarquement est prévue! Paysages féeriques!
We had an exceptional time canoeing in the Bow River. There was a little elk was walking down the shore when suddenly a big surprise, mom showed up! We hadn’t recovered from this event when a black bear just crossed the River in front of us! If you come here, be ready for exiting things to happen.
Everything about Banff Canoe Club was over the top! Very professional and a very fun staff. CJ was our guide and he was very knowledgeable. He had some great stories of his adventures in the back country. I give him a five star review along with the Canoe Club.
Great scenery and very fun. Dropped some stars because you have to leave your ID and pick it up after you are done, we forgot ours and had to drive back to Banff to pick it up. They told me that happens to a lot of people. Management should do something about that backwards system they have.
We took the 7pm paddle and it was a nice way to wrap up the day. Tim was our guide and he did a great job. You're not guaranteed to see lots of wild life but we spotted a few beavers, a bald eagle, and a loon on our trip. You'll paddle upstream for about 30 minutes then float back down for the rest of the time.
We did the wild life canoe trip in the evening. Nature is really very beautiful and our guide Ramsey knew a lot to tell. We really enjoyed this tour, highly recommended!
Had a fantastic tour with our guide Alec who gave us an entertaining exposure to the history and wildlife of Banff. Tour lasted about an hour after an initial orientation. Nobody in our group was rushed; we went at our own pace.
My wife and I went on the group canoe trip and had a wonderful time - stunning scenery and fantastic, informative commentary from our guide Tom. Highly recommended.
