Walking into the Banff Sweet Shop feels like stepping into a cozy, old-fashioned candy haven. The store's aesthetics, with its wooden shelves and vintage decor, have a genuine charm that's hard to find these days. Amidst the array of candies, what truly stands out are their homemade treats. Especially the fudge, it's a slice of heaven – rich, creamy, and with just the right amount of sweetness. The other chocolate creations are also fantastic; each piece is crafted with care and passion, making it evident that this isn't just a business, but a labor of love. While the Rockies outside offer breathtaking views, inside the Banff Sweet Shop, it's a feast for the taste buds. A visit here isn't just about buying candy; it's about relishing the warmth of a local store that puts heart into every treat.
The Banff Sweet Shoppe is a wonderful addition to the strip. They stand out as a purveyor of sweets and decadence.
I love the interior decor and how it appropriately fits the olden day sweet shop of movies.
There is a huge selection of candies and chocolates not found in the typical big box and grocery stores. A lot of imported goods that you would not find elsewhere. Unfortunately, due to the worldly acquisition of these goods, prices are high. Yet, if you find a chocolate bar from home, I'm sure you will be happy to pay to enjoy it.
Definitely drop by and be picky what you want to snack on.
Really fun candy store on Main St. Feed your sweet tooth with specialty candies and chocolates. A whole back wall of Pez dispensers. Front case has beautiful variety of fudge and jars of taffy flavors.
Love this sweets shop You can find various fudges and caramel apples here. My recommendation is sponge toffee! Enjoy some and put the rest in a freezer- you can enjoy crispy toffees too. I haven’t tried fudges and caramel apples though, but I think they’ll also good.
I love the candies there and they have lots of different flavours of candies that I haven't seen, I mean tasted before! I think the place also has great service!
Wow! The selection of candy here made my jaw drop over and over again. They carry things I thought were long discontinued, or otherwise would never find in Canada. For example, they carry Lion, a chocolate bar I only thought could be purchased in Eastern Europe. Highly recommend you visit, and see if you can find a long lost childhood candy.
Nice shop with lots of options but not many vegan options. The staff was super nice and looked into the ingredient book to see which ones you could get from behind the glass. Lots of candy and fun to walk through. The Mambas are not vegan, as they are elsewhere.
A staple of any visit to Banff, the Sweet Shoppe is a lovely little store with plenty of different chocolates and lollies to choose from. I picked up some beautiful chocolates from the handmade selection, definitely recommend the salted caramel square, Black Forest truffle and the Maple popcorn was delicious! I did expect to find more Australian chocolate and lolly brands considering the large population of Aussies in town but that’s ok, it was still fun to explore all the different options.
This is a dainty sweet shop that kids will never miss and go out empty handed. They've got variety of goodies for those little sweet tooth to choose from. I love their little gum ball machine.
Lots of selection, but the homemade fudge/chocolate bars at the front were very lacklustre, not much taste to them. Fudgery might have been a better choice.
